He said and I'm paraphrasing - if you didn't like the match up, call a time out, you don't need to save that timeout. He said you don't throw a throw away play/pass in that situation with the game on the line and Lynch on your team.

Steve Young is one of my favorite quarterbacks, so I like listening to what he has to say. Even though I was going for Seattle (because of Lynch mainly and their defense), it would have sucked to see Wilson with more superbowl rings than some like Steve Young. i'm not a brady fan at all, but i always try to give credit where it's due, and he has his great moments. but not once hvae i seen an iconic drive from him in the postseason, where the ball in his hands for the final drive and makes something miraculous happen. it's possible but nothing jumps out at me, not like with Montana or Elway etc....

He made some good throws tonight though, but those INTs were some of his most retarded plays and he's made those types of throws before in the big game (there was an INT against the Panthers that was so laughably bad).

The ending tonight did nothing to alleviate some of those issues I have with him, because it still felt like it was a lot of dinks and dunks with guys like Edelman making big plays. Yards after catch was a big killer IMO. There were several plays where a 3-5 yard route turned into more when it typically does not. And quite a bit of that occurred on Simon's watch, the young guy just couldn't catch a break :lol. The N.E wide outs did a hell of a job, particularly Julian. Of course leaving Wright on an island on that TD with no help over the top was downright disrespectful. But all in all, I can't complain. We were up ten in the second half, and had an opportunity to win the game within a few feet of a trophy. It was there for the taking, and the ball was dropped.

We're not basement dwellers, we meet our shortcomings, criticisms and success head on. And that constant forthrightness is what makes us hated, and loved. There is no gray area, no glad-handing. We say what's on our minds and what is needed to be said. And that's what separates us from everyone else, who "toe the company line". And consequently those who despise us for the worst reasons, have company for the trivial reasons, and therefore feel justified in their absurd hatred. No one likes a person/entity who tells it how it is despite the consequences. Some people love it, and some people hate it with all of their being because it goes against their cultural and societal traditions. If you take a shot and miss, and we land that counter punch, you will hear about it directly. Of course we have the prerequisite face of the franchise, but that's just how it is. But in general, that is who we are, even when it comes to internal issues.

Every year we are stronger, and every year we are weaker. But that is the nature of the game. Football is an entity of ebb and flow, no matter whom you are. But limiting that negative side of the pendulum swing to a minimum and sustaining a modicum of success consistently (i.e. making the playoffs consistently, and only missing due to critical injury in the most important of positions such as QB), to support the highest of the highs between, is the mark of a upper echelon period for a team. And that's what we've done these past three seasons, and seek to continually do. The second phase of that process is complete, and we now head into phase 3.

I don't get why the Seahawks didn't try to use Wilson's ability to run to their advantage. I think all of his runs were on pass plays and there were any design runs for him. When he did the shotgun handoffs he had plenty of room on his side to do damage. On the last play even if they decided not to use Lynch they could of at least use the playaction bootleg to run into the end zone.
