That hard count shit is disgusting. It's akin to that idiot in NC, Dean Smith running that 4 corner offense. It nearly ruined the game.
Christ, just take yearn & try and beat theren. If it don't work out, shut your fuckin' mouth and try again.
That's just 5 talkin.

The eligible/ineligible receiver stuff was quite entertaining if you don't have a stake in the game.
I don't think the announcers caught it on the tube. It came out after the game and Harbaugh explained.
They fooled a whole bunch of folks.
Baltimore was running the ball down NE throats. Then, NE had a receiver wide open almost every play and I had no idea what the hell was going on. Makes for good viewing, but it's clearly taking advantage of a flaw in eligibility and the reporting of such.

All of it is pussy-chickenshit business plan. Right down to their dependence on the hard count shit. They practice that gd protocol. And it's not to garner the 5 yard penalty. No, not at all. It's sole goal is to afford Brady to drop back in a (no lose situation). This way he can pass without risk, none, no risk. It's so pussy that it should turn the stomach of any decent man. Makes perfect sense that a man, BB, an organization that would condone this shit would foster an atmosphere where other corruption is produced:::secretly tapes his opponents final walk thru so there is no risk, there is no worry, or, rumination...now this ball cheat.
And all the shit this motherfucker and his organization have done that hasn't been revealed or ferreted out.

Well when you don't know he is eligible that is difficult.
Why did the refs finally give the Ravens time to figure it out by holding the ball?
They did not have to do that.
Answer: they realized the other team did not have the time to take down numbers. Nothing in the rule book about that, but the refs adjusted. And you will see this taken care of next year. With rules. Props to the Patriots for forcing the NFL to deal with it.
Now the balls, this will be interesting. The NFL will probably end up keeping the balls to be used the entire game. No team game ball guys a possibility.
Hell while we are at it why don't we just let offensive lineman wear any number they want?
Do you realize the first digits of offensive linemen are restricted as well as other positions? Why is this so you think?

I think Bill just knows that unless the NFL has video evidence or an eyewitness to The Deflating, then they don't have shit and he can deny away. Sure Brady will say the same thing. Ball boys will be paid off and nothing will come of this. If they were caught red-handed, Bill at least would have given some limpdicked "we misinterpreted the rule" bullshit. Such a strong denial makes me think he knows the investigation doesn't have any solid evidence.
Or maybe he's doubling down since he knows he's fucked, just trying to delay things till after the SB, then give everyone the finger as he rides off into retirement. We'll see.

You're an Alabama fan. You cheat worse in college sports than anyone does in the pros. What's worse is that is that everyone is bitching about a ball being underinflated by 2psi(psi and pounds are not the same thing btw, you fucking retards) but nobody wants to call out rampant PED use besides my boy Fran Tarkenton. Ya'll are some faggots. Wanna complain about something serious? Go right on ahead. But to say that something like this is a serious issue, even more serious than rampant PED use, is straight up little girl shit.
PEDs make you bigger and faster and stronger than your opponent. PEDs cut down your recovery time from workouts and getting beat up in practice/games. THAT'S cheating.

Not really, because they already had meetings about this, and he knew exactly what was going to be said by Bill. And everything Tom is going to say, is already known by the organization. Everything is scripted, and no crack will be exposed (if there is in fact a crack to be exposed). What's really interesting is what the league will do as so many balls were under inflated. If they have any right whatsoever to make a move based on that alone, and if not, how will they explain (or not explain) why action cannot or will not be taken. It's not as if one or two of the lot were under inflated, damn near all of them were.
If they do take action, I hope none of said action has any affect on the S.B though.

What's odd about Beli's statement, is that he's VERY involved in the balls that are used in practice. But when it's game time, all of a sudden he has no knowledge of anything as it pertains to the balls and the regulations of said balls. A man that goes out of his way to tinker with just about everything to get an advantage, formations etc. I just think that's hilarious. A man as meticulous, intelligent, and with strong foresight can't expect anyone to actually believe this.

Well, I don't think Pats fans actually care deep down inside about believing the shit the organizations spews, all they care about is winning by any means. They'd rather win with controversy, as opposed to losing without it. And when they achieve that, they basically say, "kiss my ass", look at the "W", "you're just whining, you're at hater" etc. As far as others eating the organizations bullshit, it's not so much other people eating their bullshit, it's the just the powers that be. If the powers that be accept it, or let them off with a slap-on-the-wrist, they know eventually it'll go away, and most of the "middle of the road" people that complain, will eventually fade away and focus back on their team. Only those who have a strong opinionated stance on the situation, and/or those victimized by what actually occurs will remain with a hard stance on the matter(s).

You're assuming they did not, or possibly that they have not in other games. This isn't exactly something you experiment with in an AFC Championship game, or playoff game in general.
The big deal is that the league wants all teams to abide by certain guidelines that way no one gets a competitive advantage. No matter how small you may perceive it to be.

:lmao don't even know how to use it right.
The deflated balls had little effect on the AFC title game as the error was corrected at halftime.
The problem is if the Pats are breaking the rules here, they are likely breaking the rules elsewhere to try and gain an advantage. Shcoking Bill Bellicheat will deny any knowledge of that despite the fact that he is probably the most detail oreinted coach in the league.
The deflated ball issue was a minute advantage, but it was an advantage against the rules. They should be punished, which will probably result in lost draft picks in a fine, which the minds of the Pats the reward was greater than the risk.

Again, food for thought--New England only lost like 1 or 2 fumbles throughout the whole season. One position that will ultimately benefit from underinflated footballs is the RB position. This will probably not amount to anything but you can't ignore the willingness of the Patriots to obtain any additional aid and blur the line of cheating has made since Belicheck came on board.

Well at least not severely. I mean the league gives them 12 balls. One would think the league had them up to spec and by half time 11 of 12 are 16% below spec.
But unless there is solid evidence (or someone confesses, doubt that) no major punishment will be doled out.

That's exactly my point... If they did it against Colts there is no reason to assume they did not do it during RS and against Ravens. I understand checking the football weight is a normal procedure, why this procedure never showed anything irregular... does not make a lot of sense for me
I understand league wants all teams respect certain guidelines and a competitive advantage is a competitive advantage even very small... now for me reaction is not proportional. It seems it's the watergate or something... I don't see this deflating balls making such a difference in the long run... the % is not that significant

Ya see he kinda gets it, that balls just don't deflate magically, btw it is reported by some its 12 out of 12.
Now its total denial mode. And most likely remains that way. But of course it was no big deal as these things just sorta happen. Just a random occurrence. So Mr. Talking out of his ass says nothing to see here.

It's more about the breaking of the rule, as opposed to the perception of the significance of the rule. It's in place for a reason, and everyone has to abide by it. Otherwise a competitive advantage occurs, no matter how small it is perceived to be. It is an advantage nonetheless. But I get where you're coming from.

Or maybe because the one guy who accounts for almost all their fumbles went on IR pretty early in the season.
Brady begged for the rule about game balls to be changed in 2006. Since then, the Patriots have been top 5 in least team fumbles per game in all but one season. You look at guys like BenJarvus Green-Ellis who pretty much never fumbled in a Patriots uniform, then somehow became a fumble machine with the Bengals, and it doesn't add up. Statistically, the Patriots' avoidance of fumbles from 2010-present is so close to impossible that it's suspicious:

patriots have been one of the best teams at not turning it over pretty much throughout Belichick's reign. if you watch some of the videos on ESPN with Bettis or Brunell, they're talking about how lower pressure gives the QB more grip and velocity, makes it harder to fumble etc...Supposedly it's worse for the long ball but most of NE's passing is built on the dink and dunk.
I obviously always felt they've been cheating the whole time, Belichick does anything for an advantage and can lie with the best of them. Still, Goodell is Kraft's butt buddy and the main reason he got the gig, so I doubt we'll see anything harsh unless the other owners want it done. We'll see.
I just wonder how long have they been doing it and how the refs never noticed it.

I also saw some of the Brady presser and it's weird but I felt bad for the guy, and I might be the biggest Brady hater on here :lol. While I like seeing Brady get exposed and not be so overrated, I still feel bad for anyone getting dogpiled on or thrown under the bus, especially when I still believe Belichick is behind it.
Still, I'll laugh so hard off Goodell "discovers" a ballboy who admits to deflating the balls because he overheard that's how Brady likes them.

Well at least not severely. I mean the league gives them 12 balls. One would think the league had them up to spec and by half time 11 of 12 are 16% below spec.
But unless there is solid evidence (or someone confesses, doubt that) no major punishment will be doled out.
I don't see how any punishment at all gets doled out until evidence is found.
like I said earlier, for all we know, a ref had money on the Pats and did the deflating himself.

what do you mean? :lol BB has been trying to outsmart the opponent ever since he came in the league, that's what he was always about, pushing right on the boundary of rules is what makes him unpredictable and great, what do you think the lt catching a td and a midget wr throwing one is if not playing right on the border of rules? Taking a chance on high risk stuff has always been the pats way, sometimes it goes wrong like when they got a penalty against the colts because of the oline being eligible, sometimes they don't. That's not cheating. And people wine about the fake crowd noise not because it creates advantage, but because you always hear about how great the adderal crowd is.

You still don't get it.
PED users are punished. It's a far worse infraction.
This is what makes this ball deflation so rich with paranoia. The Patriots are so damn good they don't need to do anything to balls. Richard Nixon was going to crush George McGovern in an election, yet he still risked cheating. That's reaching a sick level.
Yea, when I play my 3 year old daughter in chess, I remove her queen while she ain't lookin, just to assure I am victorious.
Its Frkn hilarious in a sick way. Now they are all abodoning ship like rats.
BB, ask Tom
Tom, ask the equipment manager.
And Brady claiming he asks for exactly a certain legal pressure and then tells the world he could not tell. Yet the refs and other players found the pressure odd? Seriously? The Patriots are a great, prepared team that absolutely laid an egg. And it's not going away. And over something so minor that was totally unnecessary.
Its very amusing while stinking at the same time.

It's hard for people to own up to their shit. Browner (Now starting for the Pats ironically :lol), Thurmond, John Moffitt, Allen Barbre, and even Bruce Irvin all tested positive. Sherman won his appeal like a boss. But only one of those guys that tested positive (Irvin) is still on the team and we haven't had an incident in quite a long time. But we own up to it. Loud- The most FAKE sound ever. I have been to 8 stadiums now and I know crowd noise. Qualcomm pumps in fake crowd noise like NO OTHER. There were times when there were NO Charger fans chearing and the sound was deftening. Bunch of crap. They also play music pretty much up until the opposing QB takes the snap which I have never seen at any other stadium. That bass is heavy and the sound is LOUD.

So you're saying that it makes sense for a referee to intentionally cause an infraction themselves, then, put themselves in the cross hairs by exposing that same infraction? That has a lot to do with whether or not a ref is a likely suspect. The logic behind an action is important. If it was at all reasonable that they could have done it, then I'm all ears. Feel free to provide an example.
This isn't a personal hatred situation, I have no personal vendetta against them. It's not like Seattle a member of the AFC East and have been tortured by them for an eternity. I know you're just trolling with these retarded takes, but literally one of the first details to come out about this story is that the game balls passed inspection initially and given back to the teams two hours before the game. Then at halftime, the Patriots' game balls were found to be inflated well below the legal limit. The only possible explanation was that someone in the Patriots' organization tampered with their set of game balls during that two-hour period.

Apparently the Ravens tipped the Colts to the deflated balls (Which I find hilarious :lol). So I was wrong there, but at the same time you weren't entirely correct. Were the same refs used in both games? If not, is this a multi ref conspiracy in favor of the Patriots? How far on the unreasonable tin foil route are we going to go here? Lets be serious.

Where's the proof of purposeful tampering? Link it or stop with your retarded hearsay
While the NFL says its investigation into the 11 deflated Patriots footballs is "ongoing," the website ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/21/source-footballs-were-properly-checked-before-colts-patriots-game/)dropped an important piece of information Wednesday afternoon, citing a source who confirmed that the footballs were tested properly before the game and were found to have a pressure between 12.5 PSI and 13.5 PSI.
Why is this a big deal?
Well, it means the deflation occurred after the referees gave the balls back to both teams just before kickoff. Not good news for the Patriots.
The one other bit of information in the ProFootballTalk story (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/21/source-footballs-were-properly-checked-before-colts-patriots-game/): The league, made aware of the possibility of a deflated football during the first half, opted not to stop the game to inspect but rather decided to wait until halftime.

Why didn't Baltimore say anything when it happened? I'm correct that it was the Colts that complained about it to the NFL. The Ravens are complaining like the bitches that come out of the woodwork of the Cosby rape accusations after rape victim #1 comes out first.
Lol you have no proof of intentional wrongdoing but you seriously want to hang the Pats.
I don't even give a shit about the Pats other than this story and media frenzy over it are so fucking retarded.

Why Baltimore didn't say anything is irrelevant. Perhaps they couldn't have definitively prove anything at the time. But the fact that they pointed it out, and it showed up again VS the Colts, is probably indicative of the NFL having a stronger case than some may think.
Of course I as an individual have no proof, I'm speculating just like everyone else, whether you're on one side of the argument or the other.

Not inflating the balls to a high enough PSI before they're given to the refs pregame isn't against the rules at all, at that point the refs can inflate/deflate the balls at their own discretion and it's on them to get the pressure right. It's not New England's responsibility to account for what effect their prepping/rubbing/whatever done before the balls are given to the refs pregame will have on the ball pressure, they're simply not allowed to alter the balls after that point.

None of that would be in violation of league rules. It's up to the refs to ensure balls are at proper PSI before and during games. If no Patriots doctor balls after the official check, they've done nothing wrong. Don't blame the Patriots for more referee incompetence.

If the Pats like their balls at 12.5 but the Colts like them at 13.5, then the Colts could lose 1psi and still be within the range while the Pats fall out of the range for any loss. The rule book AFAIK only sets the range to start the game. All balls lose pressure during the game if the temperature drops and 5 300-lb guys land on top of the ball carrier.

And really don't think things through.
So it's protocol. Go through WHO checked the balls, when, and the NFL deciding to release the information that the Pats WILL be investigated for under inflating the balls. Your own article puts doubt as to when the balls were tested. Surely a deflated football has been found before others tested and reports issued. So the NFL had to DECiDE this was important enough and knew the repercussions of saying the Patriots would be investigated. This before a SB... Totally whimsical stuff.

The NFL released information after the story was leaked by that Kravitz guy and had already gone viral. The NFL's decision to announce they'd be investigating the Patriots was a reactionary measure to all of the public outrage. Pretending the NFL decided on its own to blow this out of proportion and that it already wasn't a big story before the NFL commented is revisionist history. Oh.
So the NFL decided the public hates the Patriots so much that they determined the Pats must be investigated?

:lol It's amazing how Belichick went from being completely ignorant on Thursday to being a wannabe science expert on Saturday. Meanwhile, zero explanation for how the "atmospheric conditions" didn't have any affect at all on the Colts' footballs. Either that, or the Colts need to explain how they managed to get the laws of physics to not apply to them.
He's talking out of his ass.
Didn't see it, but in this case, it sounds like that phrase actually applies.

If the Pats like their balls at 12.5 but the Colts like them at 13.5, then the Colts could lose 1psi and still be within the range while the Pats fall out of the range for any loss. The rule book AFAIK only sets the range to start the game. All balls lose pressure during the game if the temperature drops and 5 300-lb guys land on top of the ball carrier.
that doesn't work since the balls were at least 2 psi out of the range.

I don't necessarily understand how rubbing the football can cause a pressure decrease, but does anyone honestly think Belichick would go on TV and essentially say, "Fuck you, prove it" to the NFL without consulting professionals first? He's historically been as cautious as possible with the media and never denied anything he actually did, even in the case of Spygate.

Well Bill was saying the friction from rubbing the footballs caused an artificial increase in PSI. They would then make sure the balls were at 12.5 PSI in that state, or deliver to the refs and request they put the balls at 12.5 (plausible as Rodgers said the refs like to put balls closer to the low end of the spectrum). After the check, the balls PSI naturally lowers as it cools down from the rubbing. Then once they're out in the cold, wet weather, they drop even more. Whether the Patriots did all of this intentionally (likely) or unintentionally (unlikely), the science is accurate, and technically they did nothing against league rules.

My theory is that the refs simply fucked up and never adequately inflated the balls pregame. It's clear from what Belichick said that New England makes no effort to inflate the balls properly before the game and just tells the refs to inflate them to 12.5 (all of which is within the rules), so if the refs don't inflate them then the balls are already under-inflated at room temperature and once they were outside dipped to a full 1-2 PSI below the minimum.

And if the Colts knew a sting/ball check was coming, they'd likely inflate the balls to the upper limit in the hopes of negating any natural deflation, and keep them in regulation.
