I shop at HEB for groceries and I have my prescriptions filled there....up until the begining of Sept., theyI could purchase Tylenol sinus OTC....no problem. Now they say go to the pharmacy to purchase it.....I go to the pharmacy and they tell me the stopped carried it because of a new law for psuedophedrine. It supposedly being abused by kids. :cuss
I have never heard of this until then. It is no more abused than Nyquil. I get sinus headaches due to allergies rather often and they are the worst.
I didn't know that they passed a law until I went to purchase it.
Why don't they just ban Nyquil, and some of those weight loss drinks?
Maybe it is one of the componets for making meth that they're trying to stop?

me too. Many of these OTC meds are being used illegally for Meth production so now they are being controlled.

Yep, psuedoephedrine is used to make meth.

basically yes. And don't be surprised if Nyquil gets taken off the shelves.
So yeah, we all have to suffer because of the irresponsible actions of a bunch of out-of-control druggies. Soon we won't be able to buy paint.

I'm surprised Nyquil isn't gone yet...it's on the list. :(
So, now I can go get a $70-per-month supply of Allegra, which is a level 4 or whatever drug...so my copay is $50 instead of $10.
Thanks, fuckers. Like the big-time meth manufacturers are getting their pseudoephedrine from HEB. :flipoff

To me what is the most incredibly stupid move of all time is that the military won't carry Zyrtec-D anymore (it has pseudoephedrine) or zyrtec. So they switched me to claritin. Then they turned around and gave me a prescription for a butt load of pseudoephedrine tablets to take.
I guess they wanted to cut out the middle man. :lol

I push my fingers into my eyes,
it's the only thing, that slowly stops the ache.
But it's made of all the things I have to take,
Jesus it never ends, it works its way inside,
if the pain goes on, I'm not gonna make it.

and yes, most of the big time meth dealers were going to supermarkets and cleaning out their shelves. i read somewhere they could make like 10,000 worth of meth off less than 100 bucks!

It is a very good law and I support it...its people like you that start off with Tylenol sinus OTC...Then advance to Nyquil...Before long you are pushing Ritalin and Adderall onto kids that don’t even have ADD....
Besides...Over the counter medication & drugs in general should only be available to the rich and famous! :smokin

Try a compound with Phenylephrine, often abbreviated as PE

This is why we should only teach Chemistry to kids who aren't obvious drug users.

I am assuming that you are being sarcastic.,,,,especially when you post that Tom Cruise photo.

The problem though is HEB quit carrying it altogether....Those junkies ruin for those of us who use the drug for its intended purpose.

It was a joke....you didn't have the pleasure of hearing one of Tom's rants on medicines, specifically prescription therapy for post-partum depression? It doesn't really exist, according to Tom. All she needs is exercise and vitamins.
He's a flake, hence the joke.
I'm finally getting over what's been ailing me for the last 2 weeks....I guess I'm going to have to seriously hoard whatever Tylenol and Robitussin and Nyquil products I have left... :depressed

They were already limiting people to 2 allergy meds at a time, which seemed like a good enough law - this new deal seems like overkill.

I forgot an "s".....sue me.
I know you are referring to my thread that you and others thought was "stupid" because meeting sports stars and such meant nothing to refugees.
Yet when Spurs players do show up at the refugee centers it does boost the morale of those refugees.....wether they are Spurs fans or not.....I said an appearance would do this and you amoung others thought I was crazy. What the Spurs and Saints were say to these people is were care, and won't forget, we are here for you. This al I thought was needed, they also helped in the serving line from what I heard. I am surprised that it they waited so long to do this.

God love all of you.
I am a Clinician and I work on a contract in the TDCJ System (Texas Department of Criminal Justice or "Prison" for those who are unfamiliar). I am 41 y/o and an AF retiree after 23 yrs of service and I see men my age who look 70-80 and whose lungs function WAY below that everyday people. Why? They cooked Meth for $$. They are angry and think it is a travesty that the state will not buy them dentures (at the age of 35) so they can chew food. They have ground out all of their teeth from the meth and totally hosed their lungs from cooking it. They think that the State of TX should provide denture and adhesives so they can eat. I am fortunate enough to be in a position to say NO. They can get blended food and eat that. Some of you who may be headed down that road may want to take heed. TDCJ is not a pleasure palace. I treat my patients with dignity and respect. They have already been judged and sentenced. I have nothing to do with that. I do know, however, how much the drugs and the behaviors of those folks have burdened us in the freeworld. Just say NO! If you cannot, then email me and I will be happy to take you on a tour of my prisons I work in. Drug talk is funny on a board, but if you could just get a quick glimpse of where your Texas $$ are going to, you would be repulsed. Trust me on that one.
God Bless,
Hussker
