Would be the cushiest job in the world if you were mature enough not to let these apes bother you. Lesson plans? Grading papers? Worrying about test scores when these kids will fail no matter what? Dealing with parents who care? Nahhh. Put security on speed dial, throw on a movie and make sure none of them die before the bell rings. Go home 5 minutes after class ends, not like you have prep work to do.

All for 50k/yr with benefits and 3 months paid vacation. Not bad tbh if you don't let them bother you.

Its a lot harder than that tbh. Even at a low-income school like that you have state standards you have to meet, and if you don't multiple years in a row you're fired and its really tough to get hired in another district if that happens. Also, $50k a year is only for math/science teachers. Anything else and its maybe $36-40k unless you've been at it a decade.

:lol being a teacher in Canada is one of the cushiest jobs you can get IMO..start near 50k, with the potential to top at around 80 IIRC..not nearly as many schools with low-income demographics as the US, a lot of days off during the school year, nice Summer break..

The woman in the video is a substitute(I think) teacher in Chiraq, though..that's just a stupid decision..

Shit, average teaching job in Switzerland pulls in 100k+ per year, as much as a doctor. Priorities...

It used to be an easy type of gig like that back in the day but not anymore when you factor in metric requirements and standardize testing. These teachers have to make sure a certain amount of kids pass the standardize tests along with getting good grades. If they don't live up to the metric requirements they get fired. This type of job is now like a sales job with unrealistic expectations and high turnover.

Video is a repost from 4 years ago. All those kids are comfortably occupying prison cells by now.
