the pick and roll doesn't look as awkward. before manu or tony would just pass to where west was supposed to be but he would go a completely different way. He also knows better where the players are going, therefore speeding up the ball movement which now looks proper at times.

A major problem with the starting unit is that they are used to a Parker centric offense. Kawhi, Danny, they ain't creating their own offense. They relied on TP.

Now that TP takes a backseat, those guys don't make the best decisions to create. So the way forward is to find ways to create other than through TP's movement. One fantastic way was the interplay of posting and reposting with Mills and Aldridge, and Mills exploited the over-rotation and split the defense for a scoop layup. More of that and the Spurs will have a very potent offense.

The inside out game can be updated and made "beautiful" if guys keep moving and exploit holes and force rotations.

Increasing Kawhi's role along with LMA has given us two components of isolation to the starting lineup and that is naturally reducing that unit's "movement". Coupled with Parker being TERRIBLE at incorporating anybody not named Duncan and Green (who was one dimensional offensively anyway) not even providing his one trick and we get that clusterfuck of a first unit. The second unit has essentially NO isolation/ballstopping component so their movement is noticeable but more importantly PURPOSEFUL and it flows very well. Pop has his work cut out for him because Parker is the biggest issue when talking BOTH sides.

Hard to believe he shot 41% from 3 last season. Looking at last season he had stretches where he 30% and below over an 11 game stretch then made it up by shooting 50-70% the next handful of games. First unit offense was hideous, but the team still scored 51, which isn't bad, tbh..Parker wasn't as bad on offense as people are saying, he's doing what Pop is putting him in position to do..the first unit just has no structure with all the 1-on-1 play, and Green missed his only open 3 with them..

Defense just needs to tighten up vs. Walker and Jefferson..

Hedo completely fell off the cliff after he signed w/ Toronto, Boozer went from being an All-Star to being amnestied, Joe Johnson is the second highest paid player in the league & has been trash since last season. You also have guys that fell off in their primes b/c of injury: Deron Williams, Rose, Noah, Gerald Wallace, Arenas, Baron Davis, Rondo.
