It's real, it's used appropriately, and it is really useful when judging individual performance!

It's a raw stat and starting point for analysis. When Bonner was on the floor someone made the basket for Denver. It doesn't have to be Bonners fault, but if a player has negative plus/minus more often than not, he's playing poorly.

If one player sucks in every lineup he is in he is a bad player or he doesn't fit with the team.

right, which no one on this board understands, yet feel compelled to get outwitted by trolls, think their opinions matter, etc. Message boards are like religions, and the theory of voting.
