Wich positions do you think the Spurs will draft ? i think they'll take a PG/SG or a Big. Except if there's someone they like i don't think they'll take a wing with green, leonard, simmons, anderson and maybe bertans.
My favourites are : Demetrius jackson, baldwin and maybe Levert at PG and Diallo, Onuaku inside ..... I also like Prince and Beasley.

My predictions:
If we go guard,
Cordinier
Murray
Brogdan
If we go big
Zubac
Zizic
Hammons
Maker would be exciting but we need more of a traditional big. A center. He's a skinny pf. I want to come out of this draft with a guard and a big. If we miss on zubac and Zizic I think Onuaku or Hammons would be a good backup plan and if we can't get a first maybe an early second or two would work. As for guard, I liked cousins early in the season and he could be a nice pickup in the late second round. He's a combo guard that plays good D and has an amazing work ethic.

George de Paula isn't mentioned anywhere so I guess he didn't declare as an early entry candidate this year.

MCW is a bad fit b/c they need SHOOTERS but he can't shoot. A guy like Livingston probably wouldn't be a good fit for the Bucks, they should have NEVER traded Knight.
I said this at the time. It's as if they didn't know Antetokounmpo was a point forward and like any wing who essentially functions as a point guard offensively, that meant the most important qualities in a point guard, to pair with him, were three-point shooting and defense.
Agree, but, is he not enough to be the backup PG? Thats my point.
Offcourse if they want to play Giannis as forward, then ok, I dont think thats a great idea, but at least its a reason to pick a PG in the draft.
In a few days we will know what direction they are taking. Depending on who they pick, and if they try to move MCW.
People make this mistake all the time, thinking what a player is on one side of the ball automatically is what he is on the other side of the ball.
Antetokounmpo will play point guard offensively and small forward defensively.
Carter-Williams and Ennis are both poor fits next to him.
Baldwin projects as a 3 and D type, so he'd make a lot of sense for them.

Jessica Camerato @JCameratoCSN (https://twitter.com/JCameratoCSN) 10h10 hours ago (https://twitter.com/JCameratoCSN/status/743118331520094208) Bryn Forbes (@B_nasty04 (https://twitter.com/B_nasty04)) worked out for Sixers today. Pistons and Spurs left. Has worked out w BOS, MIN, ORL, ATL, SAC, UTAH, CHI, WAS, LAL.
Still sold on Malik Beasly personally. Maybe Onauku if he is still available in the second round. If we can get those two I think it would be a pretty solid draft.

Wear a Spurs jersey, because whatever moves they do make, I'm sure the camera crew will try to get reaction shots of people wearing Spurs shirts/jerseys.

I don't own a jersey (hate wearing them) but I will definitely be wearing a Spurs shirt for sure!

Haha - will do. I've been excited for the draft for a couple weeks. Now? I'm 10000x excited and can't wait. Been waiting forever to go to a draft and Barclays looks awesome.

I liked Barclays. Seats were comfortable enough, but they pack a LOT of them in a small space. Steep climb.

Luckily they only sell half the seats for the draft it looks like and I got pretty good seats. Lower bowl.

I actually kind of like this draft; while the top end is thin, there are all sorts of potentially useful players late.
Given
1) Many teams really have too many picks - eg. boston has 3 first and 5 seconds. - these teams need to consolidate their assets (trade for veterans/move up) or delay their assets. This may force these teams into less optimal trades...
2) (Assuming no major retirements) that the Spurs pick in 2017 will be pretty late (24+),
Is it worth considering a trade like the following: A future (2017) first (lottery protected) for say 35 and 45 (from Boston), or 39 and 40 from New Orleans.
From the current NBADRAFT.net mock, the Boston trade could give the Spurs Yabusele and Cordinier, the NO trade Qi and Payton II
From the current Draftexpress mock, the Boston trade could give the Spurs Thon Maker and Levert, the NO trade Hammonds and Levert.
This kind of return could be very valuable, especially if the Spurs are trying to make salary cap space for a Durant Max; 2nd rounders are the cheapest kind of contracts available (cheaper than empty slots, IIRC).

Hope you have an awesome time, mate. :D
And I hope for once the Spurs do something interesting at the draft and either trade up into the lottery or grab some 2nd rders. Time for am injection of youth!

Wow, after Jaylen Borwn this is the next highest ranked prospect I've seen the Spurs work out. Both would require a 10 pick likely.

I think you misread that. Bender only worked out for Minnesota, Phoenix and Boston. The rest scouted him in Israel.

Draft class looks poor so far this season, although the sample size is small obviously.
