You are welcome. :toast HOWEVER, I am still inclined to excommunicate you (from your own church, isn't it? :wow) LUCY! you got some 'splaining to do:
:nope. Kyle has a lot of potential while MCW has crashed against his reasonably low ceiling.
Lol I shall have to beg fir forgiveness!!!
Something that has been discussed elsewhere, specially Chinook is that at some point Boris might become expendable, but it's just as well bc Boris is getting up there in age and KA is barely starting to sprout, so as one wanes, the other waxes, hopefully.

If you are truly repentant...
Yes, Boris has always had those irritating "coasting" stretches, too.
As I have said for many moons, Kyle will play most of his career minutes at the 4. Now if Chinook can pull off a deal to move Diaw + ? for Horford, we will start the evolution of Kyle into a Diaw-like 4.

Love Simmons. He isn't afraid to attack the basket.
Also, saw after the game Bosh said that he thinks LMA can get even better with the spurs, which is the scary part.

Now if LMA AND Kawhi can be this aggressive when TD and Manu come back we really have a chance

So, you want to trade one player with plenty of upside in the years ahead that PATFO clearly values for another bad, one-dimensional player when neither one will get more than spot minutes this post-season? I am not expecting to get a rotation player for Kyle at all. I want to keep him because I probably wouldn't get a rotational player for him. But, apparently because you don't like Kyle or because you really like MCW, you want to swap warm bodies who will not play anything but spot minutes. I am saying improve the team if you make a trade. If you want to acquire a rotational player, then at least suggest that we package Kyle with another player or pick to acquire a player who could play more than spot minutes. Neither Kyle nor MCW can put us over the top this season. MCW will never help do that. But Kyle just might in the seasons ahead. Some of us see him as a player that has Boris-type qualities.
Name me a point guard that can be had in exchange for Kyle who has played Curry as well as MCW has TWICE this season?

Lowry, CP3 and MCW are the only ones who can do it

I haven't seen that many GSW games, so I admit I couldn't name one. (Actually I doubt there are truly are any.) But I am not looking to trade Kyle for such a player straight up, in the first place. That's your thing, not mine.
But, apparently you don't want MCW for "spot minutes" like CoJo at all, but because you believe that he can shut down Curry, based on two games this season? That would seem to make him worthy of way more than CoJo spot minutes... Surely if MCW is truly a Curry-killer, he can join our rotation and shut down other high-powered guards in the league, also. But if that is the case, then why are the Bucks so eager to move him?

Miami's 1 offensive rebound was the 22nd game (since the offensive rebound statistic has been kept) in which a team had 1 or fewer offensive rebounds in a game. It tied the Miami franchise record for fewest offensive rebounds and was the third time that the Spurs have managed to get to all but 1 defensive board in a game (11.11.14 v. GST; 11.21.12 v. BOS)

Spurs allowed only one offensive rebound to Miami. Only third time they've held an opponent to just one.

Sorry, should have looked harder for that.
Good work by you, Mel!
My addition to your work is a report of all 22 games in which a team has managed 1 or less OREB:
http://bkref.com/tiny/LJdCe
(sort of ironically, the Spurs are the only team -- according to this report -- to have not managed at least 1 OREB, and pulled that off in a Win at Utah in 2002).

MCW is intriguing, however he's shooting 25% at the 3 point line for his career.
Jason Kidd seems to know a lot about being a point guard and he doesn't think MCW has what it takes. I was also surprised that 76'ers traded him despite him winning rookie of the year. I haven't watched much of his game, but apparently there's got to be a reason why two team now are willing to trade away somebody on a rookie scale contract.

As I am killing time until the game starts, what do you think is Whiteside's issue? The rumors already out that "Whiteside is not a Heat type of player" and they will let him go in free agency if they don't trade him at the deadline. With all that talent, what exactly is his issue in the lockerroom and elsewhere? I've never heard any specifics about what he does but he's got a worse rep than Cousins.

Not sure tbh. He seems to be in that DeMarcus Cousins mold in the sense that he's a talented young big who shows flashes, but who's also a mental midget and lets his emotions get the best of him far too often (although Cousins is obviously the much better player overall). As a GM, it's hard to commit a max or near-max contract on someone you can't rely on in big moments + a guy you expect to lead your franchise for the next 5+ years. Couple that with the fact that he's not a very good offensive player, and suddenly you have a guy who, if given the contract he's going to seek, will be vastly overpaid and will kind of leave your team in limbo. Pat Riley's one of the best GM's in the league and I think he knows better than to sign Whiteside long team with what he's shown, but he's also in a tough spot because as he mentioned last night during the Spurs game interview, he's "getting old and wants to win now, not later." So it will be interesting to see how he handles Whiteside and Miami's offseason in general.

Like others before him (Lance Stephenson, Stephen Jackson, Josh Smith, Larry Sanders, and many more), he's a gifted athlete who lacks the maturity and stability to be trusted with a lucrative, long-term, guaranteed contract.

Good points. As he's about to be a FA and on a smallish contract the Heat have the choice of trying to trade him now for ANYTHING or put up/band aid the situation and try to see if they can get him to be a beneficial player for the short term and keep them in the east's playoff picture. I'm sure they'll investigate the former, but the second is the most likely outcome.
Just for giggles, we can ask how he'd do as a Spur? Yes, this is completely hypothetical and not remotely realistic, but someone might wonder if team culture could change Whiteside. I say no. It didn't change Stephen Jackson or DeJuan Blair and Pop ships out people who don't fit fairly quickly. Couple that with two of the strongest locker room leaders, Manu and Timmy, likely to be gone soon and the new face of the franchise, Kawhi, being the silent type and you'd think that the pressure to "get in line" would be much less than it has in the past two decades or so. In short, it would be the wrong time for the Spurs to take a risk on any bad character guys.

Yeah, and I wouldn't even say that Whiteside is a bad character guy, just an immature person who hasn't gotten over himself. Definitely not a Spur.

The Bucks are trying to move him because they have figured out he isn't a starting point guards thus won't offer him an extension but still want to get value for him before it's too late. If they wait till next season then he'll be an expiring contract & thus his value will decrease.

You and I will just have to agree to disagree. :toast I believe that the guy is a scrub on a disappointing, under-achieving team on a cheap rookie contract - and he is part of the reason for their underachievement this season. If they get a second rounder for him, I'll be impressed. I just pray that the Spurs do not acquire this guy - and certainly not for Kyle.
Let's hope we don't get trapped tonight in Orlando! :flag:

Yep....hard to win any game where you lose turnover battle 10-17 and give up 11 offensive boards to 1.
