I agree tbh, no room for error leads to some tense 0-0 and sometimes :sleepfootball. While the south american "championship" style qualification is the fairest and it favors the contenders it also favors a brand of football which less effective in cup competitions (world cup/copa america), especially after the coaching revolution of the late 90s which stretches the field constantly. Fairness isn't always the best environment for breeding success, to win against tough opponents you sometimes have to out nig them for the whole 90+30+5 minutes tbh ( pepe/quaresma weren't taking prisoners in paris :lol )

I'm not basing my opinion solely on this match. Argentina's formation just isn't balanced enough to attack with any kind of danger. Iicardi much like higuain barely got one pass inside the box. The problem with this team is playmaking. Dybala just gets in Messi way, di Maria is only capable of making plays for himself and at this point not very good at it, playing with two 5s when 95% of our opponents park the bus makes no sense. Sampaoli has tried to fix the midfield but it's not enough, he has to make more room and for that you need depth on the wings. Well they could lose or tie this game and still qualify, but yes I agree that despite the coaching change and terrible campaign Argentina are still favorites to beat Peru in any stadium and after the circus around changing venues it will be bad for boca's rep to not win, even if there are barely any boca players on the team.
