School is in....

With veteran QB's like an Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady there will come a time where it really is the beginning of the end, simply how it goes for all athletes.

With young cats we don't say shit the first few seasons, if ya know football. We take a wait and see approach. So to read some of you....HE SUCKS...over young QB's, yep....EL ROOKIE~~~~~~~~

Why some of you can't figure out it sometimes takes awhile to get it....???? Not everyone can be a Russell Wilson, Big Ben, Dan Marino.

Hell, where was Jared Goff in 2016, how about 2017?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scrambler Fran Tarkenton is STILL among the top10 QB's ever with TD/yards. So that ..extend plays,,,escape the pass rush...isn't new.
Avante
So, who STILL doesn't get Russell Wilson? And, there will come a time when Brady, Brees and Big Ben are gone.Now think, ok?
Who but Russell Wilson could be 8=4 behind that o line?
What happens is this....
Wilson plays a great game like tonight...nothing. He plays another great game next week...nothing, then the following week he throws a costly pick.....and its....SEE SEE SEE HE SUCKS, YEP....STRUGGLE......hahahahaha~~~ Yep, that's how rookies act.
Wilson is the only QB IN NFL HISTORY to have a 4000 yd passing, 500 yard rushing, 30 TD's season. He is about to have another, yep.....he's doing things never seen before. Yet some of you ...STILL...don't get it.
NO BEASTMODE, NO LEGION of BOOM so what's he do.....beat the best NFC team.
Tonight we heard a couple guys who know football raving about the great Russell Wilson. Everyone who understands the game raves about the guy.
Funny watching football fans on all these boards who played this stupid,,,,it's BEASTMODE, the LEGION OF BOOM, if not for them Wilson ain;t shit.
Those of us who actually know the game knew better than that, and now we are seeing what us experienced fans knew all along. Put Wilson on any team and he will...wow~~~~~~~~~
What gets me is just how obvious does it need to be? Hell, just watch the guy play, how can ya not see....IT...?
With no running game, the D no longer monstrous what do we have......MVP talk about Russell Wilson.
Why you rookies don't pay attention to long time football fans....?????
Avante
12-05-2017, 08:38 PM
I;ve always had this theory that Belichick prefers white players. He sees them as being smarter and less apt to get all excited and do stupid shit. No team has had more white receivers, and Belichick has never had a black QB.
Gronk did some stupid shit.
I get 70% of the players are black so....but. We see some totally stupid shit coming from black players. I saw it in HSball, city flag football. They are petrified of being shown up and got a real bad BAD case of macho.
Ever see any of those HBCU games, ya know Grambling vs Southern U. Soooooooooooooo many penalties, soooooooooooo many just ridiculous penalties.
Yes, white cats simply can't run*** so we must have those who can out there, yep....black athletes.
*** guys like Edelman, Beasley, Amendola, Wes Welker are more quick than fast. no white Tyreek Hills, he's fast.
THINK
With no running game, no Legion of Boom, it's MVP talk.
And....if he'd been unleashed earlier he'd be doing the same things we see now.
Lke...Michaels, Collinsworth, Gruden, Gonzalez, Russillo, Bradshaw, Smith, Cowherd, Long, Johnson, Avante have said.....Russell Wilson is amazing.
Avante
12-11-2017, 09:20 PM
What cracksd me up about this place is all this...BOO. I don't dislike football player, why would I or anyone? All this running these guys down....why? Really....why?
There are how many HS;s playing football in this country? How about JC's? NAIA, and all the levels of college football. Anyone starting for an NFL team is an AMAZING player, ok rookies?
Virgil Green the TE is out of nearby Tulare HS. To watch him play in HS, yep...a grown man vs boys. And it's like that for all these NFLers. To run down that...1%...of all football players, why?
Saw Green drag four wanna be tacklers from the 10 to score, yep...dragged them.
Cam Newton is an amazing talent as is Russell Wilson, why would anyone wanna run these two "exciting" athletes down? Who is more exciting?
My Niners finally found a QB, cool. Now a couple drafts, a few stud free agents and maybe by 2020 we'lll be teasing a playoffs spot.
The Niners one of the top franchises in pro football history need to be in the mix.
So many great players.
Bob St. Clair
Leo Nomellini
Dave Wilcox
Jim Johnson
Ronnie Lott
Charles Haley
Joe Perry
John Henry Johnson
Hugh McElhenny
Y.A.Tittle
Joe Montana
Steve Young
Jerry Rice
Deion Sanders
Rod Woodson
All in the Hall of Fame
Now add...
Imagine looking down and seeing a guy standing under the crossbar, he's there to jump up and block the kick, yep.....a Niner did that, and yep...he did knock a kick down.
The Niners the team that got the shotgun formation going.
Niner Joe Perry the first black RB to have a 1000 yard season. He was also the first RB to have consecutive 1000 yard seasons, and....only a JC education...Compton.
The Niners the first and only team to ever have three future HOF RB's all there together. And...a HOF QB.
Just think...Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders, Rod Woodson all Niners.
How about...Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens all Niners.
There was a time our QB was Y.A.Tittle our stud RB J.D.Smith*** and out best WR R.C.Owens...ha~~~ Owens was a basketball player at Idaho, he was the one that blocked the field goal. Tittle throwing it up to Owens the....Alley Oop....pass.
*** first HBCUer (NCA&T) to have a 1000 yard season.
I don't talk about my team much, it's too painful. Such a great franchise now struggling to win 4/5 games, sheesh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Niner football card collection......amazing.
Idiots....it's BEASTMODE, it's THE LEGION OF BOOM, without them Russell Wilson ain't shit.
Then without BEASTMODE or THE LEGION OF BOOM, we are hearing/reading....MVP...talk.
Gotta love it, ha~~~~~
I've seen them all since the late 50's, so why do I rave about Wilson, well? Yes, he is something.......SPECIAL...and if ya knew the game you'd know this. Hell.....just watch the guy play.
No QB in NFL history has thrown more TD passes in a 4th quarter.
No QB in history put up 100 QB rating in their first two seasons.
No QB in history has had a 4000/30/500 season and he's about to have his second.
No QB in history has won more games in their first six seasons.
Very safe to say he is the best passer/runner to ever play the game.
Only black QB to play in two SB's.
I talked about Tarik Cohen while at NCA&T, I talked about Tyreek Hill, Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb.
Keep an eye on this guy, he played for Tulare Union HS (I was born in Tulare) and on his way to UCLA.(as of right now)
Russell Wilson voted to yet another pro bowl, and another NFL record setting season.
What a shame the guy has no line, no running back, and his defense is injured. As we saw with an actual team....SB...bound.
When the players vote on the best 100 players in the NFL this season, what.......10-12-15?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What if ny Niners had had Jimmy G back in week one, what.....7...wins? The guy is looking like he's the real deal.

Would ya believe?

Todd Gurley was a stud hurdler in HS?

Robert Woods the top HS 400m sprinter in the USA?

Sammy Watkins a Florida State 200m champion while in HS?

Julio Jones is not the best WR from Alabama?

Gale Sayers has an older brother faster than he was?

Walter Payton had a brother play NFL football?

Ezekial Elliott was a stud hurdler in HS?

The first player in NFL history to spike the football once beat Bob Hayes in a NAIA 200m?

The Giants drafted 1964 Olympic 200m gold medalist who was also an ASU cornerback to run with the Cowboys Bob Hayes? (they were good friends)

The first Cowboy to have a 1000 yard rushing season was an Ivy Leaguer? A long jumper.

The first Raider to have a 1000 yard season was a dumped Niner?

The first Patriot to have a 1000 yard season was an NCAA wrestling champion?

The first Bill to have a 1000 yard season never played college football?

My cousin Eva Dean married the best friend of the first Ram 1000 yard rusher?

When I buy the Carolina Panthers the first thing I do is put McCaffrey in the slot, this cat has to be out in space.

I make sure my D stays intact and Olsen retires a Panther. I will be looking to dump Newton but he'll never know it. If I get the deal I want I will get us a QB who isn't an embarrashment.

I'll be looking to sgn mostly Power Five conference players, those used to big time football. I'll be looking for football fans, guys who love football. Guys who can talk football. Not looking for those into it for just the $$$$$$$$.

As we know southern football is the most passionate, I'll be giving the fans something to be passionate about.

Avante

Todays Alabama team would totally manhandle those Lombardi Packer teams of the 60's, they would destroy them. Todays players are far bigger, faster and stronger. Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung couldn't break 4.6 in a 40 and neither could Carroll Dale and Boyd Dowler their WR's. Willie Wood and Herb Adderley vs 4.4 cats, not good.

There are HS lines today that are bigger than those 70's Steelers lines. And HS kids far faster than Swann and Stallworth.

So we can play....dominance of era....and that will work and really is how it should be done, what we can't do is try and say someone back in the day is better than these cats today.

Don Hutson was the most dominant player for his position in football history, his numbers were three times better than his fellow receivers, he was on a whole other level. While at Alabama he ran a 9.8 100 yard dash, that was cooking in his day especially for a white cat, but......that is a 10.8ish 100m today, Tyreek Hill runs a 10.1.

So when I see somebody trying to compare eras, why?

I will say this.....Bob Hayes would have been the fastest players every single season, there has never been anyone on an NFL field faster, his 10.06 on a dirt track in 1964. WOW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Darrel Greens 10.08 was ran under far better conditions. Deion Sanders never broke 10.26.

What is so hard about simply slowing down and see how things go, what ;s the big rush to.....HE SUCKS..HE'S GREAT?

Well we found out just what Russell Wilson can do without an offensive line or a running game and a less than GRRRRRRR D. How about...

Another NFL record.....most TD passes in the 4th quarter in a season.

He was 18 yards short of another 4000/30/500 season, yep, another NFL record he owns.

He led the NFL with 34 TD passes. (3 rushing-37)

Another pro bowl.

No QB in history has won more games in their first six seasons than Russell Wilson.

Now with a stud running game. a monster D.....Superbowl winner, without any of that....NFL TD leader, MVP talk. Taking his passing and rushing yards, who had more, well?

...never won a SB.

Wilson the only black QB to play in two SB's.

Wilson the only 4000/30/500 QB, and the only back to back 100 ratings in his first two seasons. (one pass away from havlng the second 4000/30/500 season in history)

In 2015 he led the NFL with his 110.1 rating and this season he leads the NFL with his 34 TD's.

How many pro bowls has the guy been voted to?

So who won more games in their first six seasons than Russell Wilson, yep, nobody.

If we take playoff success, stats, winning, who did it better with six seasons of NFL experience, well?

1000 yard rushers while a Niner.

Joe Perry Compton JC...first black to have a 1000 yard season (first player to have consecutive 100 yard seasons)
J.D.Smith NCA&T...first HBCU athlete to have a 1000 yard season
Delvin Williams Kansas
Wendell Tyler UCLA
Roger Craig Nebraska
Garrison Hearst Georgia
Charlie Gardner Tenn
Ricky Watters ND
Frank Gore Miami

Niner legend and the best "white" RB ever Hugh "King" McElhenny (HOFer) never had a 1000 yard season. Here we had a speedy, elusive, agile white RB, yep...unique.

The Niners were the team that took the Shotgun formation to a new level.

Only team to ever have a player block a field goal while standing under the goal posts. (former Idaho basketballer R.C.Owens)

Only team to have three future HOF RB's all there together. (HOF QB also)

Only team to have a world record holding hurdler (Renaldo Nehemiah) and a world record holding sprinter (Ray Norton).

A legendary franchise with a lot of history.

One of their many forgotten studs....Abe Woodson******

Wiki

As a kick returner, there were few who were better. Of all kick returners in NFL history, his average of 28.7 yards per return is well ahead of any others who have returned over 5000 yards worth of kicks. He had 193 returns for 5538 yards. He was also dangerous on punt returns, averaging 9 yards a return in his prime with the 49ers. He ranks 21st in career return yards, and his 28.7 average yards per return still ranks 4th all time. Combining his punt and kick return yards, he ranks 34th.

Saw one of those football talk shows today. Kurt Warners top five QB;s for 2017....Wilson number five. The public had Wilson at number four. He is in another pro bowl.

So I'm watching UCF playing Auburn, when this UCF cat comes out of nowhere to...WHAM! I thought...damn! Then a couple plays later here comes this guy out of nowhere to ...WHAM!...the QB. Then I notice.......the guy is missing a hand.

I've seen a lot of football, this is a first. And, this is a real player, I have no doubts he gets an NFL look.

Dempsey was just a kicker.

Cal/Jets receiver Wesley Walker (9.5 sprinter) was legally blind in one eye. Great player.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzTETykr8kQ

Putting his 10.15 in perspective, the great Bob Hayes ran a 10.06 to win an Olympic gold medal.

The Rams have the nations top (while in HS) HS 400m cat in Robert Woods (passed on track at USC) and a Florida State 200m champ in Sammy Watkins catching footballs. Todd Gurley a HS hurdler. Austin also a track guy.

You have to look at each of those teams separately and their schemes. I agree that several would rather have Wilson. But why would the Falcons with that running game (and talented receivers) want a bail out QB? Or the Rams and Eagles who have what looks like a true star QB?

He looks great. But take into account, he goes to a small school and is playing other small schools.

His speed speaks for itself and he looks like a great college prospect.

But don't put too much in watching videos of him playing schools that might have only a few hundred high school students.

Imagine the Falcons, Rams adding a mobile QB as just another weapon. Anytime a D faces a guy ho can hurt you with his legs, it's now.....run? pass? that is a whole other deal than knowing it's a pass.

Wilson is more accompished than any of the QB's on the teams I mentioned.

He looks great. But take into account, he goes to a small school and is playing other small schools.

His speed speaks for itself and he looks like a great college prospect.

But don't put too much in watching videos of him playing schools that might have only a few hundred high school students.

And Hall of Famers Jerry Rice, Walter Payton, Charlie Joiner, Willie Brown, Aeneas Williams, Buck Buchanon, Deacon Jones, Leroy Kelly, Shannon Sharpe, Willie Davis, Bob Hayes all played for HBCU schools. Ya know those teams that lose to LSU, Arkansas, etc 70-10. Hell, Terrell Owens Chattanooga, the Raiders first 1000 yard rusher Clem Daneils played at Prairie View, the Chiefs greatest WR Otis Taylor also Prairie View. The Niners first 1000 yard rusher Joe Perry....Compton JC.

If you've already got weapons and a good QB, there's no reason to subject him to the potential injuries associated with being a runner. That's a recipe for short lived success.

Wentz, Watson, Prescott aren't runners? That is where the position is heading.

I've been on defense facing a mobile QB, it's a whole other deal than knowing ....he can't run. The first problem is having to peak into the backfield to see if the QB is still there. now when trying to cover a receiver it's a hassle.

The ones that have long careers will be the ones that figure out how to stay in the pocket and utilize their weapons. Unfortunately, the hard part is understanding the game and not everyone will grasp it.
Of the three above, I think Wentz will have the best career by a long shot.

And my point was that when you watch videos, you need to take into account he's usually not playing against similar talent.

The point you're missing is this....

It all starts in at the HS level and those kids will only be there they 4 years, then off to college for a 3-4 season career. And at that level we are seeing runners at the QB position, just watch Alabama Monday. So nobody cares about longevity and this is what the NFL is getting now. If you want a QB chances are he has some wheels, because that's what the HS/colleges want.

Watching a replay of the Rams vs Cowboys game, did ya know both Gurley and Zeke were stud HS hurdlers?

So what other running backs can say that?

Milt Campbell was a world class hurdler, and an Oly decathlon Champin, he played a few seasons with the Browns prior to Jim Brown.

Hugh "The King" McElhenny was a Cali State hurdlers champion.

Paul Lowe the Chargers first 1000 yard rusher was a stud HS hurdler.

Tyrone Wheatley ran the hurdles at Michigan.

Roger Craig ran the hurdles, not sure he ran track while at Nebraska.

There are HS lines out there today that average over 300 pounds. We have HS kids running times that would have won the Olympics past. Bigger and stronger and faster. This is why in todays football yiu wiull need a legit athlete playing the QB position. Defenders are just too quick to have a cat who can't evade a psass rush.

I follow HS football, trust me, we are seeing more and more black QB's and white guys like a Baker Mayfield who can motor. Guys who can't break a 5.00 in the 40. good luck. YES YES ....but what about Tom Brady, Drew Brees? When are we going to see their like again, if ever.

Bortles can scoot, Mariota can run, Watson, Wilson, Wentz, Rodgers, Taylor, Smith, Newton, Winston, can all motor. And as we lose Eli, Brady, Big Ben watch who replaces them.

The HS 100m record is a 10.00 held by Trendarvis Friday, that beats every Olympics up to 1980. Bob Hayes had a 10.06PR.

The reason every team needs a speed receiver is what we saw with the Vikes. You MUST have somebody who can go the distance from anywhere on the field, something a possession receiver can't do.

Speed in pro football, love the topic.

Don Hutson is considered by all those who know the game to be right there with Jerry Rice when it comes to the greatest WR's. The thing about Hutson was his 9.8 speed vs white cornerbacks. He never had to face 4.3 cats because he never played vs black cornerbacks. I know of no track speedy cornerbacks in the days of Don Hutson.

Same story with Jim Thorpe and Red "The Galloping Ghost" Grange, they never faced speedy black athletes.

The first real speed was tiny Buddy Young all 5-4 170 pounds of him, he was an NCAA/AAU 100 champ out of Illinois. He showed up in the 40;s. He was the first quick, elusive, speedy black running back in the pro game.

The Big Ben Stevenson story a must read. Yep, Google it.

The thing about history is the size you have with an interest. My NFL starts in 1920 yep...the first season, so it's HUGE, MASSIVE and COMPLETE. I need this, I want it all so I have it all. To not know the origins of things that interest me, I can't do it the curiousity would be too much.

Interesting tid bits like...

When Bears RB Beattie Feathers had the first 1000 yard season in NFL history, he averaged over 8 yards a carry or was it 9, think about that.

The thing with the internet is how badly people want/need to....let me check that out see if he's WRONG. It is funny.

Other football historians have proposed something more sinister: The NFL may have purposely pumped up Feathers' production to turn him into an easier-to-promote superstar.
Feathers was clearly gaining a lot of yardage, but he missed the final two games of the 1934 season, plus the championship game, with an injury. League officials, so the story goes, figured he was close enough to 1,000 to add a yard here and a yard there to totals no one was keeping track of anyway.
The Feathers record used to be a huge deal among football historians. Back when most football research was done by microfiche and stapled-together newsletter, giants of the field like Bob Carroll, David Neft and Mark Purcell would duke it out in sometimes nasty debates. Few of those battles were ever digitized, and those who peruse old statistics at all generally accept the 119-carry, 1,004-yard, 8.4-yard-per-carry figures (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/chi/1934.htm) that Neft codified during the glory days of ink-and-paper sports encyclopedias.
The pre-Neft numbers were 101-1,004-9.94; it was those numbers Dr. Z felt had to contain some return yardage

All that stuff is found in books, books read long before there was the internet.Google.

My advice.

Fuck replays, fuck being overly concerned with safety, allow holding on kick/punt returns. And....no field goals outside the 20.

Zero in on the HBCU for players, there and the NAIA, small schools. Let the NFL have the big school cats.

Talking about at the start. Give the fans....speedy players (smaller) no long breaks with replays, not much on safety, and the hell with flags on every kick/punt...........hell, hold.

All point afters....two point trys.

Fresno could support a team, tons of towns from Modesto to Bakersfield.

I once saw the national champion flag football team wax a team of NFLers*** (Marino QB)in a flag game. The champs were 160 pound types, who were on a whole other quicks level than the NFLers. If I'm McMahan I'm looking for a smaller quicker athlete.

They really do need to dump the pro bowl as far as actually having the game. Sure vote on who should be there then leave it at that.

I don't watch the game, but did come across it today on the NFL Network (gave it 5 minutes). It's just way too obvious..."let's not get hurt out here, ok? No fun spending the off season injured"....so anyone not playing along is a jerk.

Avante

The game was so much better back in the day than it is today, SOOOOOOOOOO much better. First off there were only 14 NFL teams, now think. The more teams we have the less talent we see per team. Imagine a 14 team leagur today, every team would have a legit QB.

Nobody cared much about safety or IT MUST BE RIGHT. If a guy got mashed on the field......so what, it's football. The refs made the call, if wrong....fuck it...move on. It'll all even out.

You wouldn't dare take a knee back then, your teammates ain;t playing that wimpy ass shit, fuck your problems, play football.

The games didn't stop every fifth play to check anything out, keep it rolling. The kickers couldn't kick it out of the endzone so we had the kickoff return. We didn't have fake grass so we saw the real deal. Everything about the game was better.

There weren't any 300 pounders so we saw better athletes on the lines. Guys weren't as muscular so we saw more quickness.

The greatest RB you've never heard of.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVRsSvziIJI

The reason Galimore never had a 1000 yard season was because the Bears had a stud fullback named Rick Casares, he did have a 1000 yard season. First stud RB out of U of Miami.

Jim Brown was better than anyone playing today, Bob Hayes was faster than anyone, Dick Butkus on a whole other level of bad. The amazing Gale Sayers***, nobody today compares. Lance Alworth was incredible.

Seen a lot of football, trust me, ok? Hell...Ron "Chunky" Coleman, Israel Lang, Cyril Pinder, "Jaguar" Jon Arnett, Choo Choo Winters, Hewritt Dixon, etc etc etc.

Let's talk about Morris Stroud the 6-10 KC Chief TE trying to block a fieldgoal, standing under the crossbar. Tell me who the kicker was. AND.....there was a cat who did block a fieldgoal standing under the crossbar....who?

The AFL came into existence in 1960, they had a good decade.

This would be the All AFL offense.

QB...Joe Namath Jets (Len Dawson Chiefs?)
FB...Cookie Gilchrist Bills
RB...Paul Lowe...Chargers (Abner Haynes Chiefs?)
WR...Lance Alworth Chargers
WR...Don Maynard Jets
TE...Fred Arbansas Chiefs

One of the really exciting times in the sport.

Trivia***************

1. First NFL 1000 yard rusher out of an Ivy League school?

2. Only Hall of Famer out of just a JC?

3. These two 1000 yard receivers played on the same JC team? (but it was another cat who was the star)

4. Who were...

The Truck
The Tank
Long Gone
The Bullet
The Hammer
Speedy
Super Gnat
Little Train
Thunder

I know....huh???

Yep, nobody has a clue.

Anyway.....

PAC12 Power

Arizona QB
Oregon RB
USC WR

Starring for the Eagles.

As we know now that Foles has won a SB he becomes a great QB, yep just takes one game. So once he makes the HOF, he'll join...

Aaron Rodgers Cal (no doubt)
John Elway Stanford
Troy Aikman UCLA
Warren Moon Wash
Dan Fouts Oregon

Then there was....

Drew Bledsoe
Carson Palmer
John Brodie
Andrew Luck
Danny White
Mark Brunell

Being Foles won a SB and the MVP.

I guess we'd have to put him above....

John Unitas
Fran Tarkenton
Dan Marino
Jim Kelly
Dan Fouts
Philip Rivers
Warren Moon
Tony Romo

....huh?

On a serious note.

If I'm the Eagles I'm doing all I can to work a trade Foles before reality has a chance to set in. Obviously Wentz is the future, and he really doesn't need Foles around.

The Eagles now join the rest of the NFC East as a SB champ.

That can't be said about...

NFC North (Lions/Vikes)
NFC West (Cards)
NFC South (Falcons/Panthers
AFC Nort (Bengals/Browns)
AFC South (Texans/Jags/Titans
AFC West (Chargers)
AFC East (Bills)

The HBCU and the NFL

Hopefully they go back to the beginings, with names like....

Marion Motley South Carolina State (Reno)
Paul "Tank" Ypunger who was the first Grambling player in the NFL.
Niner J.D. Smith NCA&T the first 1000 yard rusher from an HBCU school
Bob Hayes FAMU the first 1000 yard receiver from an HBCU school

RB...Walter Payton Jackson St
RB...Leroy Kelly Morgan St
WR...Jerry Rice MVS

Just read people, call all this a learning experience.

RB's and receiviers have always been speedy. Both Buddy Young 40's and Ollie Matson 50's were as fast as anyone playing right now. As was Bob Boyd, Bob Hayes. What is so dramatically different in todays game is the ....quicks....of the big guys. We didn't see that back in the day (Deacon Jones the exception). Speed, quicks with size is what really seperates the once upon a time players from what we currently see.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the strangest situations is the punting of QB Sammy Baugh. He could punt today, which really is amazing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The above mentioned Buddy Young was 5-4 170 pounds, he won the NCAA/USA 100yds/m Championships. He was the roots to the tree, the first quick, fast, elusive black RB's, he was out of Illinois.
