If the guy hadn't ran his mouth like he did, I was going to tell him to shine it, and praise him for having the balls that nobody else here had. But when he started getting punkish about it, fuck him.
I was 100% positive somebody would do what you did.

So who was it that beat Tom Brady at home in 2016? And also beat Matt Ryan?
Yep, Russell Wilson who is a Marshawn Lynch two yard run from being 3-0 vs the GOAT.
~~~~~
As we saw the GRONK really isn't all that important. What was their record without him?
When was the last time we saw three (since 1960) stud white receivers on a team? Those Lombardi Packer teams had the dependable Carroll Dale, the speedster (college hurdler) Boyd Dowler, and Max McGee. Never had an x-QB, a lacrosse player turn footballer and an Amendola.
Packers also had two HOF to be white backs in Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung.
~~~~~~~~
Nice to see those HBCU schools get some love.
Let me add...Histories first legal sub 10.00 100m......Jimmy Hines Texas Southern
Histories first sub indoor sub 6.0 60.....Bullet Bob Hayes Florida A&M
Hines did try pro football, sucked. Hayes was a footballler first, was a running back in college.
I won't go off into just how big an impact those schools have made on track, trust me it's huge.
All Time HBCU
QB...Steve McNair Alcorn
RB...Walter Payton Jackson St
RB....Leroy Kelly Morgan St
WR...Jerry Rice MVS
WR....Bob Hayes FAMU****
TE...Shannon Sharpe Savannah St
All but McNair in the HOF.
**** Could have HOFers Charlie Joiner/John Stallworth there, but Hayes was the ultimate "speed receiver" among the HBCU.

Imagine them with a healthy Gronk + Michael Floyd with a full off-season to learn the offense and build chemistry with Brady. It'd be the most complete group of receivers Brady has ever had. We also never saw the combo of Gronk + Bennett at full strength this year.
Their defense imo still has a hole to fill at linebacker to replace Jamie Collins. They were getting shredded by stretch plays that Jamie Collins would have eaten alive but none of their current linebackers are quick enough to get to the edge.
Their offensive line is also massively overrated and only played well in the 4th quarter because of how tired Atlanta's defense was.

Belichick loves white receivers because it makes him look like even more of a genius IMO:lol
Their most reliable receivers in the SB were probably White(RB, but still) and Mitchell, though IMO..Edelman was shaky for a large portion of the game(still a good WR, though)..

And ya, I agree that New England's defense isn't very good..they had the #1 opposing PPG ranking, but advanced metrics had them somewhere in the 16-20th range, which is more accurate..I would probably focus more on defense, if I was Belichick..
The rumors of trading Gronk are crazy, though IMO..

I do doubt the guy ever thinks of any of that stuff.
With a few exceptions like Alworth, Don Maynard, Roger Carr, Sonny Randle most white guys simply don't have that seperating type down field speed. What they do have have is great quicks and burst in a short distance and are smart and not all wrapped up in ME ME ME. With a great passer like Brady that works.

02-07-2017, 01:18 PM
I don't think he actually thinks about it either, but I wouldn't be surprised:lol
I don't completely buy the other narrative, though..Belichick has never cared about off-field issues, IIRC..as long as you can play, he doesn't seem to care about personality..Hernandez, Moss, just signed Floyd after a bad DUI..didn't Corey Dilllon have some locker room problems prior to joining them, too? They signed Tebow, despite the circus and distraction that accompanies him..
I've always appreciated that about Belichick, he doesn't pretend like football is a church full of good values:lol unlike many, he doesn't seem to be oblivious to the fact that this is a sport where players are having their lives shortened..

I think that's because of their culture, though..whenever the Patriots sign a player with a bad reputation, you never hear about that player causing problems in the locker room IIRC..
Everybody that signs there knows the deal, immediately..look at Legarratte Blount, he was viewed as a problem in Pittsburgh, yet he goes to New England and man is in love with Brady and Belichick:lol

Chris McCaffrey has New England Patriot written all over him. Anyone remember Craig James?
Hmmmmm?
Brady
GRONK
McCaffrey
Amondola
Edelman
X lacrosse player
...all on the field together. 11 white guys on an NFL offense? If just for a few plays, what a sight.
And so with that in mind, McShay projects Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey to the Patriots at 32nd overall.
“Bill Belichick and Tom Brady would have fun figuring out creative ways to utilize McCaffrey's versatile skill set,” McShay writes. “He's a true threat in both the run and pass game, finishing his college career with nearly 4,000 rushing yards and 1,206 receiving yards. He has a rare combination of vision, lateral agility and acceleration, which shows up in the return game, too.”
Over the past two seasons, McCaffrey has averaged 26.9 touches for 183.1 yards and 1.2 touchdowns every game. He has picked up 4,577 yards from scrimmage and 29 touchdowns over 25 games. He has also served as an exception kick and punt returner.
The 6’0, 200 pound McCaffrey could be a Matt Forte-type addition to the Patriots ofense, but would be the definition of a luxury addition. The team has James White and Dion Lewis under contract, along with D.J. Foster. Blount and Brandon Bolden would be cheap additions, too.
The Patriots would be better off addressing running back, which is an especially deep position in this draft class, in a later round and should look at added another body to the trenches.

I think their bigger need at receiver is someone who can deal with physical corners (which they'll have with Floyd)....the reason they got shut down in the first half is because Edelman/Hogan/Amendola were getting manhandled and couldn't run their routes. Outside of Moss Brady has never done well with deep threat receivers.

But with Moss in 2007...23td. With Brady having his best season ever. I am talking about something similiar with a guy who can motor. What other real burner did he ever have?
The sudden quicks that those white cats (Welker) possess appears to work with a guy like Brady. Not sure he'd want to change things. With that speed cat just another weapon for DC's to defend.

John Ross a 4.22, that is the fastest time ever ran at the combine.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLv_GHnyLPU
He had high school PRs of 10.66 seconds in the 100m and 21.56 in the 200m.
Classic example of a guy with a great burst and accelleration. But.....like most footballers he lacks the needed SE to cook a great 100m. World class sprinters are able to maintain/sustain a large % of their max velocity, something footballers can't do. Yep, the training involved.

Brady threw 50td's the first season with Moss, has never had even 40 after Moss.
And, as ya know the Seahawks hand off to Lynch, the Pats lose. And 25 down to the Falcons. You really don't think Moss would have made a difference?
I was a cornerback (both ways in HS). Totally different deal facing a guy you know can really run. I faced Clim Jackson (world class hurdler to be at UCLA) when he was at Delano, he burned me twice on straight line jets.
Everybody knew nobody could run with Bob Hayes, so you had to use a safety to pick him up once he blew by the cornerback. That is one less player defending the run.

I don't play that, I go with how things really are. A guy trips at the start of a 100m and loses to a teammate he's beat a 100 times, did he lose, yes....but. The USA has a 10m advantage in the 4x1 relay, a pulled hammy....we lose. Starting QB gets knocked out of the game in the lst quarter, they lose by 1 point......see how it works?
I like context..ok? Brady had his best season when he had a speed receiver, that is a fact. Speed receivers scare defenses, that is a fact. Why wasn't Jerry Rice drafted higher, yep....slow 40?
A 40 time means $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for receivers, why?

World class speed at the wide receiver position.
Not talking the Joey Galoways or Mike Wallace or the Ted Ginns who never really did anything on the world track stage. There guys were all great sprinters who did do things on the world stage.
Bob Hayes, but wasn't a wide receiver until he got to Dallas, was a RB at FAMU. HOFer.
Cliff Branch, ran a 9.2 numerous times while at Colorado.
Sam Graddy, won the Olympic silver medal in the 100m in 1984.10.09PR.
Ron Brown took 4th in that above mention race. 10.06 cat.
Willie Gault 10.10 while at Tennessee.
James Jett WV, a 4x1 Olympic gold (ran the heats) 10.16.
Jacoby Ford a 10.01 while ar Clemson.
Would you believe the only one there who was never a Raider is Hayes?
Both Larry Burton and Gerald Tinker ran 9.3 and were Olympians, and while legit footballers, they didn't do much at the NFL level. Neither a Raider, ha~~~

I'm the Eagles and i'm currently 1-10, I simmed the first season (6-10 for me, Pats won the SB just like in real life) and traded away a bunch of guys for draft picks and a few players, and have a bunch of rookies starting particularly on defense and the receiving corps. A case can be mafe for Don Hutson who could run a 9.8 at a time before black cornerbacks.Then there was the 1952 NCAA 100 champ Bob Boyd out of Loyola, who as a Ram had over 1000 yards way back then. NCAA 60m champion Christian Coleman (Tennessee) just ran a football 40 in 4.12. He is the fastest cat in the NCAA in 2017.
Story goes that Darrel Green once ran a 4.09. This was done at the Redskins facility, so...???

Because usually you see white qb/black bell cow, not the other way around. Not very many white rb's around these days and they're all the scat back / third down type like Woodhead, but not McCaffrey, he's a true RB1 and you don't draft anything other than that in the top 10.

Hugh "The King" McElhenny (Niners) was a Cali State hurdles champion in HS. He had black speed and agility, a fantastic runner. He was the best pure runner among white RB's.
"Jaguar" Jon Arnett out of USC was an amzing runner, he had speed, quicks and that elusveness. Played with the Rams.
Houston's Dickie Post (Chargers) lead the AFL in rushing. He was super quick and had that burst.
We can't count Red Grange The Galloping Ghost because he never faced any black athletes.
Craig James SMU could motor.
Billy Cannon LSU had a good season with the Oilers. A Heisman winner.
Mike Alstott, Larry Csonka, Jim Taylor and John Riggins were power backs.
Paul Hornung and Frank Gifford multi talented cats.
John David Crow was a 1000 yarder with the Cards.
McElhenny, Grange, Csonka, Taylor and Riggins, all in te HOF.
McCaffrey the closest thing to McElhenny we've seen. He's not as elusive but a better receiver.
I;m thinking the Browns Peyton Hillis the last white RB to have a 1000 yard season.

All cool and everything... but... who was the last starting white RB to have a black QB?
If you can't find a combo before this Newton/McCaffrey pairing... this could be a huge historical moment.
It's like a white man marrying a black woman. It almost never happens... so elusive... but the opposite way happens so often (like white QB, black RB) that it's so ubiquitous that we don't even look twice when it's black guy/white girl.

You don't draft someone #8 overall after a losing season to only play 35% of the snaps or less.

Stewart moves like molasses these days... he's 31. He got 3, 5, or 8 yards seemingly every time he got the ball in 2015. Not the case last year. He just couldn't move. Which meant, 2nd down, 3rd down, Newton drop back, hang in the pocket... WHAM, thud!

McCaffrey isn't a scat back/pure "speedster" though. You draft those in the 3rd or 4th round. You draft the McCaffrey, Cook, Mixon types early... look at Zeke and Fournette, hell even Darren McFadden. The ones you draft early you count on to play 3 downs in the backfield and get a consistent 3-6 ypc between the tackles and convert the 3rd and 1's... usually between the tackles.

So basically Tyreek Hill minus the freak speed? Okay...
I could definitely see a lot of "split" backfield shotgun snaps with Stew and McCaffrey flanking Newton... but that could mean a big disadvantage in the passing game. How well does having two backs back there fare against the blitz?

I'm excited to see the triple-shovel-option type plays from the Panthers this year. You know how Cam loves his college offense. Call it a quad option because Cam can always tuck it and make a throw, too. McCaffrey is smart, maybe has a good enough arm to make a few throws out of that, too. The number of obscure and trick play combinations are endless in Carolina. But their OL is still a big concern.

Most RB's are thick/muscular, and while they have a great burst and 20ishm few can go the distance because they can't outrun DB's. When we find a RB with enought speed to go 80 this is a rarity/special. So ya do all ya can to put him in positions to use that speed, get the guy out in space.

It would have been great if the Giants hadn't given up that late field goal to lose and instead won it in OT with a crazy OBJ catch being the deciding play of the game.
Remember, the Panthers were undefeated at the time, the Giants were fighting to get into the playoffs and the score was 35-7 Panthers at one point late in the third quarter. If the Giants had came back to win that game, and made a serious playoff run that year... would have gone down as one of the best RS games ever.

Little advice for all you pick um players.
Pay attention to heading into a bye and coming off a bye, make it a part of your plan.
Look at home and home and road and road, this is a real big deal.
Teams coming off a Thursday night game get extra days to prepare for the next opponet, take this into consideration.
Don't just.....well I like....that will never work. Look at the "spot" these teams are in. Look at teams after a division game, these are the most important games. And what comes after a win/loss, a big deal.
Scheduling is HUGE.
This is not the NCAA these pro teams don't have rto win every game, they are just trying to win the division and they do everything with that goal in mind (then wildcard). Just make the playoffs. So we won't get a 100% effort evey week. We'll get what makes sense. Yes, it's not...ok guy we don't need this one....but it's also not overly intense if not needed.

Here you won't find any over reaction to early season games, that's what rookies play.
So here's how experienced football fans do it.
Forget what you just saw in week one. Yep, meaningless. Other than the pressure is really on those 0-1 teams now, so pay attention to this in week two.
When has NE gone 0-2?
Cincy with an established QB at 0-2 or a Houston team on the road off a short week with no QB.....yet?
That's really about it this early on. Oh yeah, Tarik Cohen like Kareem Hunt had a great game to start a career. Cohen out of NCA&T, the school that gave us J.D.Smith (Niner) the first HBCU RB to have a 1000 yard NFL season (50's) he was a converted DB.

Seriosuly man. You have Cutler over Sid Luckman?
You can also debate Kurt Warner over Van Brocklin.
Lazy putting Testaverde as the best Bucs QB. He was terrible as a Bucs QB. Brad Johnson and Doug Williams were better. Heck so was Josh Freeman.
Could go either way with Staubach and Aikman.

The best QB I saw this weekend.....Sam Darnold USC, this kid is amazing.
If ya plan on,...he sucks~~~~ he's great~~~~~~~ this early on do it someplace else, yep....ROOKIE~~~~~~
I do have a STONE COLD LOCK for week two......Raiders beat the Jets:king
Baker Mayfield was the best college player this past week.

Do your homework on Doug Williams, he was not a better Buc QB. Can make a case for Johnson, but he was only there 4 seasons.
The Sid Luckman situation is a bit...???? In his 12 year career he only threw the ball 909 times. Now if we play....era....then ok, he did have a HOF career. But, it's Cutler who holds all the Bears QB records.
Troy Aikman was better than Staubach and their career numbers prove this.

I talked about the Bears rookie RB Tarik Cohen someplace here or was it the Club? Being a huge HBCU fan (mostly track) I knew all about his amazing exploits at NCA&T. His highlight video is Reggie Bush, Derrick Henry, Noel Devine in HS level stuff, totally unbelievable.
The HBCU has given pro football these notable RB's.

Mike Golic makes some great points about o linemen. Why do they run a 40? Why do they long jump and all that other non football stuff?
Tom Brady is no athlete, look what RGIII would do to him in a mini Olympics. So what.
As Golic said....footwork....far more important for o linemen than a 40 time.

Why ya don't over react early on.
Dak sucked vs Denver, tonight he was.,....wow~~~ The Broncos are monsters, they lose to Buffalo and on and on.....
So, this is just what three weeks appears to be telling us, could change and soon.
The Bears are better than usual and Tarik Cohen the next Willie Galimore.
Russell Wilson won't last the season, that 0 line is horrendous.
The Raiders took a game off vs Wash, I wonder why?
The Chiefs have more team speed than anyone else.
Tom Savage, hahhahaha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can Newton has let celebrity go his head and now he's done.
What grown man is listening to Jameis Winston ramble on?
Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady on a whole other level.
Karrem Hunt the latest small college guy to surprise at the NFL level.
Hunt got me thinking about stud RB's who are the only one from their school in pro football.

I give a point total to use as a guide.
3 points road win
2 points home win
1 point road loss
0 points home loss
Just a early power rating deal. Yep, not totally accurate for the obvous reasons but it's a good place to start.
It will always take a few weeks to get things working as a team, to.....THE PATS SUCK...over an early season performance, yep......rookie. To.....he's going to be great....because of...a...great game, yep...rookie.

Falcons lost ONE GAME and that was without the best receiver on the planet and their other star receiver who is a savvy veteran and great route runner.
Cowboys lost twice, one was a bad beat no doubt the other was one we should have won (gave up 10 on special teams in the first half -- otherwise we would have won in a blowout), without the anchor of the defense (Lee) and took a young team as a win for granted.
Both teams will be fine.

Falcons had the AFC West, and the Cowboys had the rest of the NFC East which was the best division in the NFL last year by record. While there were certainly soft patches, it wasn't super soft like what we've seen sometimes.
Panthers 2015 comes to mind as uber-soft... they had the AFC South and the 2015 NFC East which we know was atrocious. Even their own division wasn't good, next best team was the 8-8 Falcons and the other 2 were awful.
2014 AFC North is another example of an entire division with inflated records because of their baby-soft schedule... AFC South and the 2014 NFC South, which was one of the worst divisions in history. Need I say, softest schedule possible in football?

Most RB's are too thick legged to out run cornerbacks (yes, not all) but not this guy. I do expect to see a big game out of "White Lightnin' " tonight.

So what have we learned so far?
1.Tom Savage is not the BEST QB IN TEXAS PERIOD
2.All those who do the commercials....end up injured/gone
3.Tyreek Hill is fast.
4.There isn't one team in the league that is THE POWERHOUSE.
5.Deshawn Watson can play.
6.The Pats were stupid letting Blount go.
7.McCaffrey lacks quickness.
8.So many teams and players are up and down, no consistency.
9.Colin Kaepernick is an idiot.
10.My Niners suck.
Some making a big deal about Kareem Hunt being from Toledo. Ignoring the fact the Chiefs have had....
1000 yard rookie rusher Joe DeLaney NWLa.
1000 yard rusher Christian "Nigerian Nightmare" Okoye Azusa Pacific

Speaking of protests.
I grew up about 40 miles east of Lemoore and Tommie Smith. This part of Cali is farming/dairyland. I never saw any racism and ran track, played football with and against blacks. So to think a star athlete like Tommie Smith had to deal with what was going on in the south....it's hard to do.
I worked with a friend of Tommies, Willie Neal*** (uncle of NFLer Lorenzo Neal) he talked about Tommies wife being the real problem and John Carlos who was from Harlem. And in his book...Blackthink....the great Jesse Owens says that exact same thing, it was more bout Tommie trying to please his wife, Carlos and Dr.Harry Edwards.
There is a huge Naval base in Lemoore, and have never heard anything about the mistreatment of blacks out there.
*** ran track with Tommie in HS.
Tommie Smith held 11 WR 's in his day. Histories first sub 44.00 4x4 relayer and the first sub 20.00 200m man. STILL...considered one of the true greats.

Heading into week 8 NOW we have a decent sample size.
Here's how things appear.
Russell Wilson what a stud.
Cam Newton is a freak.
NO....Tom Savage isn't....................
Is there a chance of a Penn SB...Pitt vs Philly?
What a difference coaching makes....Rams~~~
Carson Wentz has...."it".
Joe Flacco...hahahaha~~~
My Niners have never sucked this long and hard.
Better than record....Chargers, Cowboys, Raiders.
Why play Luck at all this season?
Otto Graham will always be the best QB in Browns history.
Notice....all the young QB's can motor, have the ability to run?
If Marshawn Lynch did make the HOF, (or Frank Gore) can ya imagine the DUH~~~ with their acceptance speech?
Bummer we have no.,....Aaron Rodgers, Odell Beckham, Andrew Luck, Julian Edelman, JJ Watt, Greg Olsen.
Obviously the biggest surprise....Kareem Hunt (Chiefs have had a slew of small school stud RB's in the past)
The first 6-7 weeks is pretty much game to game, the guy is GREAT, the guy SUCKS, ha~~~ now we do start seeing how things really are, right about now.

As you once again fail to ever give.....names.

I only know of one, so who were they?
It was kind of a trick question. The first one is easy...Stroud. The second wasn't primarily a TE but he was used in that capacity at times. Want to try your luck or do you give up Skippy?

Dude, cool the Skippy bullshit and unless the guy is listed as a ...TE....he isn't, ok? No more than a RB who throws a few passes like Marcus Allen, no he wasn't a QB because of a few passes.

Stupid, unless the guy was on the team as one of it's TE's.............he wasn't a TE, got it dummy?
Dude......when looking for the tallest. Notice only.....one....at 6-10.
Tight End: Morris Stroud
Leonard Pope is largely considered the tallest TE in the NFL today at 6'8". However, he is not.
That distinction goes to Morris Stroud, the 6'10" TE drafted out of Clark Atlanta by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 1969 NFL Draft.
In his five-year career, he would obtain 54 receptions for 977 receiving yards (18.1 yards per reception!) and 7 TDs.

Imagine being so fast you are thrown the ball underneah on the last play of a half. Wow~~~~ AND...to make it work....whoa~~~
Tyreek Hill is the only current player (Marvin Bracey an Olympian was cut) in the NFL with legit...world class sprint speed. If he'd stayed in track he had a great shot at making our 200m team at the Worlds. The thing about Hill is he has long range speed, a 100m is nothing for him. So he will just run away from any football players.

The Niners WR Marquise Goodwin holds the high school long jump record?
The Rams WR Robert Woods was the top HS 400m sprinter in the nation?
The Rams Sammy Watkins was a Florida State HS 200m champ?
Tyreek Hill was the Big12 60m champ while at Oklahoma State?
When the great Bullet Bob Hayes was catching passes for the Cowboys there were two other players in the NFL who had beaten him in a sprint?
There are more than a dozen NFLers with roots to....Haiti?
The best punter in NFL history is in the HOF as a QB?
There have been at least 20 Olympians play in the NFL?

Raw athletic ability really translates well to NFL, tbh. That's where the money is if you're good, not track & field, and money is what's on most of these kids minds starting out.

Blacks have that size WITH speed, and a whole other level of agility,quicks and elusiveness. Yep, perfect for football. And yes, the big $$$$$$$ is in football not track. BUT....the great tracksters (small %) do travel the world and make "good" $$$$$$. Obviously Usain Bolt is an exception to all the rules.

I'd love to play the Seahawks in the dome in the playoffs, especially now that Sherman is out. The Cowboys or a division rival would be much more concerning.

Dude, Russell Wilson is a multi time pro bowler, an NFL record holder, a Superbowl Champion. If you look at Montana, Marino, Brady, Favre, Rodgers, whoever and compare what they accomplished with the same amount of experience, it's Russell Wilson. Nobody has to defend this guy, ok rookie? And.....what a group of players have to say is a lot different than a QB's receiver......think, ok? My QB sucks......we aren't going to be hearing, ok rookie?

When have we seen a faster receiving combo than Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods? Like I said somewhere out there, Woods left HS as the Nations number one 400m cat. but....didn't run track while at USC. Watkins was a Florida State 200m champ, ran a 20.6, which is cooking for a HS kid.
Todd Gurley was a stud hurdler at the HS level. And Tavon Austin was a trackster also.
The best receiving combo ever for the Rams was back in the day with Hall of Famers Tom Fears and "Crazy Legs" Hirsh. But....they didn't have this kind of speed. And TB's Tank Younger and Deacon Dan Towler were power backs nor speedsters. The Rams did have NCAA 100 champ Bob Boyd.
Holt, Bruce and Faulk was dynamic, but not as fast.
Woods went to the same HS as Tom Brady and Lynn Swann. Swann a two time Cali State long jump champ.

After watchig Deon Lewis run back a KO to score, it got me thinking about starting RB's who returned kicks.
When Jim Brown first got in the NFL he ran back a few KO's, what a sight that must have been. A 228 pound kick returner in those days?
Timmy Brown Eagles
Bobby Mitchell Browns....He was the RB to Browns FB.
Brian Westbrook Eagles
Ollie Matson Rams
Gale Sayers Bears
Herschel Walker Generals
Abner Haynes Chiefs
Mercury Morris Dolphins
Terry Metcalf Cards
Eric Metcalf...Browns
Buddy Young...Colts

A lot of talk tonight about The Killer B's, Big Ben, Bell and Brown.
Well in my football fans days....
Baltimore Colts...all in the Hall of fame.
QB...Johnny Unitas
RB....Lenny Moore....the first great receiving RB
WR...Ray Berry....slow white guy, glue for hands.
TE...John Mackey...why he wasn't a FB???
All in the Hall of Fame.
Steelers...Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, John Stallworth, Lynn Swann.
Cowboys...Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin
Bills...Jim Kelly, Thurmon Thomas, Andre Reed
Hall of Famer Dan Fouts had Hall of Famers Kellon Winslow, Charlie Joiner (John Jefferson was better but greed did him in)
Before my time, Hall of Famer Norm Van Brocklin had Hall of Fame receivers Tom Fears and "Crazy Legs" Hirsh. talking Rams.
Hall of Famer Bart Starr had two Hall of Fame RB's in Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung while at Green Bay.
My Niners had Hall of Famer Y.A.Tittle handing off to these Hall of Fame RB's...John Henry Johnson, Joe "The Jet" Perry, Hugh "The King" McElhenny
So when Otto Graham was having his Hall if Fame career,, what fellow Hall of Famers did he play with?
Back in the early days of the AFL the Chargers had....
QB...Tobin Rote
FB...Keith Lincoln
RB...Paul Lowe
WR...Lance Alworth (flanker?)
That was as good as it got at that time.
This ain't bad...

Isacc Bruce
Torry Hott
Who can forget...******
Kenny "The Snake" Stabler

Football and modern technology a suck mix. Trying to get things absolutely perfect is ruining the game. Ya can't play this game stopping every series to review a foot in bounds, a spot, a fumble, etc etc. Ya can't get a flow going. It's too herky jeky.
Yep, us lifetime geeks will always be fans no matter what but a guy just getting into it....hmmmm?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No offensive line, no running backs, yet.....7-4.
A guy running for his life and he STILL wins. Yep, the great Russell Wilson.
Career stats.
comp %...64.3
TD/INT...150/53....this is amazing.
QB rating...98.9
0ver 3000 yards rushing and another 16 TD's.
Add two Superbowls in first six seasons and more wins in history than any QB ....ever.
How could anyone not get this? Imagine where Tom Brady would be behind this o line....yikes~~~ Who could do it better than Russell Wilson?
The great ....athlete....playing QB is what we have in Russell Wilson. Something we can't say about Peyton, Brady, Brees.
Young athletes in a whole new world. Some take a little longer to adjust. Some can't handle the $$$$$$. Some can't handle the fame.
I give guys about three seasons, if heading into year four and things aren't working, ok....problem. To be...sucks...great....after a few weeks, or even a season, what????? I've noticed so many of you just refuse to give things some time............................WHY?????????
Dez Bryant just broke the Cowboys WR TD record once held by Bullet Bob Hayes.
Hayes was a footballer (actually a running back) who just happened to be the fastest man on earth. He was no sprinter trying to play football. At 5-11 195 he'd be a powerhouse today and STILL the fastest player in the NFL.
While at Florida A&M (Willie Galimore) his running back partner was Bob Paremore he was a 9.4 cat and ran on the 4x1 team with Hayes (Al Denson a future Bronco WR on the team). We have never seen more speed in any backfield since then.
The Cowboys making a receiver out of The Bullet. He held about a dozen sprint WR's in his day.
Only one white sprinter ever beat Hayes who? Beat him in an indoor 60.
http://trackfield.brinkster.net/Profile.asp?ID=2592&Gender=M&Page=Results.asp&EventCode=MA0
His indoor 60 WR's not listed.
