Shut the fuck up and eat a bag of dicks. You were wrong about wiretapping. About FISA. About Grand Juries. You will be just like both of your accounts. Gone and forgotten.

Really...
The next thing you know Trump could go off the rails and attack Lavrov's double chin (or our ambassador's)
Chummy... This president has no idea what that means. "We like each other, right?"
The thing is this.
You got a president who is horribly unpopular and very popular at the same time. If there is really something here that is impeachable and then worthy of the axe, make damn sure you are correct. The worst possible consequence of such a bitter election is making one side feel like they had their choice snatched away for no good reason. This is why Boots demanding recounts so self-assured that Trump did NOT win, and all these protests aimed at impeaching him without an investigation, are very dangerous with anyone, yes anyone, elected democratically.
And its exactly why Russia even attempting to fiddle with our elections, just because they wanted to show they can, should be acted upon. [And most likely will be, but I doubt we find out. (It'll be a sucker punch only Putin and cronies know about IMO.)] This also shows why we need to keep out of other country's process as well, no matter how small.
Let the investigation continue with rigor. The Republicans better understand this. Let the press keep asking the WH wtf is going on.

The funniest part is Trump going out of his way to mention in his termination letter to Comey that he (Comey) had told him 3 times that Trump was not under investigation. In Trumpspeak this translates to: "Thanks for telling me 3X that I am not under investigation. Now I can fire you and no one can say I did it because I'm under investigation. Because I wrote that you said that I'm not. You're fired!"
How much stupider can this man and this administration get? This guy couldn't possibly be a traitor because he's too much of an idiot. Of course, Putin will happily settle for an idiot in charge of the US.

He's getting shit on over Russia and health care now after a first 100 days that went like a wet fart.
I can think of several demographics that might become disillusioned with the way things are going. I cannot think of any that didn't vote for him before that would now.
Trump's only chance is if the dems nominate a HIllary again. Any one with more charisma than a dirty toilet are going to eviscerate him at this rate.

Trumpsters still gonna find a way to defend the dirtbag. It's amazing how dickless and pathetic they are. Rosenstein was clearly told by Trump to define a way to get rid of Comey and then basically the administration made Rosenstein the guy responsible for firing Comey. Also, it shows that the Rosenstein letter was really fake.

Reck, you're in no place to accuse delusion when you buy into everything the media harps against Trump :lol
Trump will win re-election because he's the incumbent, because nothing he's done has hurt the life of the average american like Carter or Bush 1 did. He will win because the democrats have nobody to push, they keep playing identity politics and will possibly give republicans massive gains in 2018. All Trump has to do is one big thing to basically guarantee his re-election. Build his wall, resolve the north korea incident, get the US totally out of middle eastern involvement, sustain record decreases in illegal immigration, the list goes on. He needs very little to be re-elected and you'd be a moron to think the dipshits on the left have or will have any high ground after running the most corrupt politician since Nixon.
He's going to win, Reck, and it isn't because he's doing a good job - because he doesn't need to do a good job to win. You can thank the democrats for that

Look, Reck bro, I already told you my case: He doesn't have to do a good job because the democrats are in freefall for the foreseeable future.

The gas crisis was big during that time especially in a bad economy with massive inflation. Carter proved to be too inept during the tough times. The first Bush lost for similar reasons with the economy despite winning a popular war, but the economy mess was inherited from Reagan.

"written in stone" - nothing's written in stone (except the 10 commandments :-) haha. Some of the negatives of Trump - the unknown, the inexperience, the unfitness won't be barriers 4 years from now. Meanwhile, the Dems push identity politics and say pro-lifers have no place in their party and continue to lose seats like in Omaha - keep it up and Trump will be re-elected. But late last night the Washington Post added an editor’s note (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/05/10/as-trump-fired-comey-his-staff-scrambled-to-explain-why/?utm_term=.ebcf3f464c85):
EDITOR’S NOTE: This story has been updated to more precisely describe White House press secretary Sean Spicer’s location late Tuesday night in the minutes before he briefed reporters. Spicer huddled with his staff among bushes near television sets on the White House grounds, not “in the bushes,” as the story originally stated.
The story was changed from “hidden in the bushes” to “hidden in the darkness and among the bushes”:
After Spicer spent several minutes hidden in the darkness and among the bushes near these sets, Janet Montesi, an executive assistant in the press office, emerged and told reporters that Spicer would answer some questions, as long as he was not filmed doing so. Spicer then emerged. :lol
Thank God we got that squared away. Now we can get back to talking about things like the greatest American constitutional crisis of the past century (http://gizmodo.com/fox-news-got-trump-elected-and-fox-news-is-the-reason-h-1795080589).

‘Literally farcical’: Trump’s claim he was told he wasn’t under investigation slammed by Comey loyalists
Comey’s associates insist the former FBI director never gave the president any guidance, which they said
would violate longstanding policies on criminal investigations,
reported The Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/articles/as-the-fbi-reels-candidates-emerge-to-succeed-james-comey-1494459279).
“That is literally farcical,” said one associate.
“The real impact will be the distrust of the agency under the leadership of the new director,” one agent said.
“No matter who gets the job, there will be a cloud of suspicion because the president is unpopular with much of the population.
That bad faith will make it harder to do my job.”
Another agent struck a bleak tone.
“Who cares, :lol nothing matters, :lol no one knows anything, :lol everything sucks,” :lol the agent said.

Republicans Are Trying To Get Rid Of The Acting Director Of The FBI To Save Trump
Republicans will do anything to avoid a real Russia investigation.
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has come up with a reason to get rid of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who is the acting director after President Trump fired James Comey, citing "political problems.
But Grassley, and indeed the entire Republican party, was okay
with Jeff Sessions being in charge of James Comey as Comey investigated the Trump Russia scandal,
even though Jeff Sessions not only was a member of the Trump campaign that’s being investigated,
but
Sessions lied under oath to the Senate about his conversations with a Russian ambassador.Sessions was one of Trump’s top foreign policy advisers, and
he spoke to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak privately in his office while the Russians were actively working to get Donald Trump elected.
This fact Sessions forgot to recall during his confirmation hearing for Attorney General, a spot he holds now.
And only after much outrage and uproar in the press did Sessions finally agree to recuse himself from the Russia
investigation.

Repugs KNOW Trash and his entourgage are compromised by Pootin
What strikes me is you dumb ass motherfuckers would be screaming bloody murder if the president that had done this didn't have the magic "R" behind his name.
The magic "R" makes everything bad about him automatically false.
So, let's roll with the report then.
The dossier, that you don't think is accurate, names a certain Russian as being a known Russian intelligence agent. As soon as the dossier came out this guy was recalled to Moscow.
Trump, who your dumb ass thinks has nothing to do with the Russians, because the dossier is sooo wrong, met with the Russian foreign minister.
Care to guess which known Russian intelligence agent was with him? TAKE A FUCKING GUESS, GENYUS.
US media wasn't minister did not act surprised at all about Comey's firing. He was shocked, shocked I say.
You're clinging on to the equivalent of Obama's birth certificate.
And you still have many unanswered dossier questions you told me to hold you to before we discuss further.

Latest Developments on Comey: Acting F.B.I. Chief Contradicts White House
■ Andrew G. McCabe, the acting director of the F.B.I., is testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
■ Mr. McCabe contradicted the White House’s assertion that James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director fired by President Trump this week, had lost the support of rank-and-file F.B.I. agents.
■ Mr. McCabe also said that the firiing of Mr. Comey had not affected the Justice Department’s investigation of Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.
■ The committee’s top Democrat asked Mr. McCabe to tell senators about any efforts by the White House to intervene with the investigation. :lol yeah, right

Draft-dodging sack of shit in the white house is literally selling the country to the highest bidder, and the shills supporting him, can't hide it.
Thing is, that Russia's aims here aren't exactly to have a dupe in the WH.
They are out to damage western liberal democracy. They don't care about Trump per se, despite the usefulness. That is not the endgame for this chess match.
They will, in a heartbeat, throw their lackey under the frickin bus, if they thought they could damage the image/brand of western democracy as Trump is doing, and Bush did before that.

President Trump's transition team warned former national security adviser Mike Flynn that U.S. intelligence agencies were monitoring anyone who contacted Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, according to a report published Friday evening.
Senior officials on Trump's team alerted Flynn during a late November meeting that Kislyak's communications were likely being monitored.
One month later, Flynn and Kislyak were recorded talking about rescinding U.S. sanctions against Russia, a conversation that later cost Flynn his position in the White House.
The transition team was worried that Flynn did not realize the gravity of the situation and asked the Obama administration to provide them classified information on Kislyak, though it's not known if Flynn ever read the document, according to the Washington Post

That would be the most poorly thought out plan if that was what Trump was attempting. This investigation has been going on for too long to silence with the firing of one man. Trump would have to fire hundreds of FBI agents to squash this. That isn't going to happen and that's why it's stupid to think Comey was fired to do so.

How about the "erosion of trust" in the FBI that supposedly led to Comey's firing, along with the lack of public trust in Congress and this administration? It's kind of a no brainer if Republicans really believe there's nothing there. The political capital to be gained from an independent investigation turning nothing up is huge for the GOP. The public also wants it, there's literally no reason to oppose it unless you're afraid of the results.

That is dangerous to us all. Your gullibility is actively damaging the country.
My gullibility is damaging the country? Let me know when I start calling unproven Russian collusion an act of war, or the sitting President a traitor or KGB agent.
The only dangerous people right now are those like yourself who've bought into the Russian narrative hook line and sinker. It was a fairly complex plot the Democrats cooked up and it almost worked in getting the unelectable Clinton elected. Problem was they planned on her getting elected and are now trying to cover their tracks after the fact. There will be much more to come out than a FISA warrant and illegal dissemination of unmasked USP's, the Russian hack attribution falls apart more day after day.
There's been an investigation for some time, they had a fucking FISA warrant, they ran surveillance on Trump team. Still not a shred of collusion evidence has come out. How many more intel committee members need to say it? James Clapper not enough? Mike Rogers not enough?

Further west, Putin continues his efforts to delegitimize democratic ballots and generate moral equivalence between his repressive, kleptocratic system of governance in Russia and those that hold genuinely free and fair elections. Instead of proceeding more cautiously after the intervention in the 2016 U.S. election, Moscow has doubled down, deepening its attempt to subvert French elections. Russia’s likely involvement in the massive cyberattack on the Emmanuel Macron campaign just days before the election showcases the Kremlin will deploy its cyberweapons and army of affiliated hackers to undermine electoral processes throughout Europe — destabilizing America’s closest allies and weakening their ability to act together with the United States. And the Kremlin’s next target is Germany.

You shitheads spent 8 fucking years saying worse shit about Obama. Eight fucking years.
Trump is turning out to be all the fantasy bullshit you asshats accused Obama of being.
It is dee-licious.
I don't personally care one way or another but from a political perspective fuck that. Just an attempt to prolong this further into the Trump presidency. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the special prosecutor statute out now and Rosenstein would just be assigned anyways?

The new acting FBI director keeps contradicting the White House’s spin in Senate testimony
Andrew McCabe testified that the Russia investigation was “highly significant” and that Comey was well-respected in the bureau.
On Wednesday, White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed the Russia investigation was “probably one of the smallest things” the FBI had “going on their plate.” When asked about that comment, McCabe wouldn’t agree. “We consider it to be a highly significant investigation,” he said instead.
Sanders also said that the White House would “love” for the investigation “to be completed so that we can all move on.” But McCabe signaled he had no intention of doing so. “It is my opinion and belief that the FBI will continue to pursue this investigation vigorously and completely,” he testified.
The administration has also claimed that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey. Perhaps unsurprisingly (given that Comey was his boss), McCabe disputed that. “Director Comey enjoyed broad support within the FBI and still does to this day,” he said. “I can confidently tell you that the majority, the vast majority of FBI employees, enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey.”
McCabe also maintained that in his view, the Russia investigation was not being deprived of needed resources.
“I believe we have the adequate resources to do it, and I know that we have resourced that investigation adequately," he testified.
And overall, McCabe maintained that the investigation would continue despite Comey’s dismissal. “There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date. Quite simply put, sir, you cannot stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing, from protecting the American people, from upholding the Constitution,” he said.

In moments of crisis, presidents tend to revert to the traits that got them to the pinnacle. Nixon, stubborn and righteous, dug in as the Watergate morass deepened. “Stonewalling,” it was called, and he repeatedly refused to give up the tapes and documents that investigators and the public demanded.
In 1973, at his first news conference after the Saturday Night Massacre, Nixon reflected on the media frenzy sparked by his decision. “It is true that to be under a constant barrage, 12 to 15 minutes a night on each of the three major networks for four months, tends to raise some questions in the people’s minds with regard to the president,” he said. “But now we must move on from Watergate to the business of the people.”
Echoes of that strategy resounded right after the Comey firing as the president’s aides tried to brush aside concerns about the Russia investigation.
“It’s time to move on,” Sanders said late Tuesday. “Frankly, it’s time to focus on the things the American people care about.”

Trump's intel bosses reiterate: Russia meddled in election
Asked whether they believed the intelligence community's January assessment that Russia was responsible for hacking and leaking information to influence the elections was accurate, all six spy and law enforcement bosses appearing before the panel said "yes."
They included Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, CIA director Mike Pompeo and acting FBI director Andrew McCabe, newly installed after Trump fired the agency's chief James Comey this week.
In an overview, Coats told the panel: "We assess that Russia is likely to be more aggressive in foreign global affairs, more unpredictable in its approach to the United States, and more authoritarian in its approach to domestic policies and politics."
He also cited and quoted the intelligence community's annual "Worldwide Threat Assessment" released today, which details past, present and future threats from Russia.
"Moscow has a highly advanced offensive cyber program, and in recent years the Kremlin has assumed a more aggressive cyber posture," it says.
"This aggressiveness was evident in Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 US election, and we assess that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized the 2016 US election-focused data thefts and disclosures, based on the scope and sensitivity of the targets."

Putin reportedly eyeing hardliner as next envoy to Trump’s Washington
For all the talk of their budding bromance, Russian President Vladimir Putin is widely reported to be ready to select a well-known military hardliner as his new ambassador to Donald Trump’s Washington.
Anatoly Antonov, who was just transferred to the Foreign Ministry last month after five years as deputy defense minister, is the main candidate to be the new U.S. ambassador, replacing the departing Amb. Sergey Kislyak, the Moscow newspaper Kommersant said.
According to a report in the news website Russia Beyond the Headlines, Kommersant cited four sources within the Russian government who named Mr. Antonov, who in 2015 was placed on a European Union sanctions list for his role in Moscow’s policy toward Ukraine, as Mr. Putin’s choice for the critical diplomatic post.

Senate Intelligence Committee leaders caused a stir when they abruptly left a congressional hearing on world threats to meet with Deputy Atty. Gen. Rod Rosenstein. Speculation swirled that the meeting signaled a development in the ongoing saga of why President Trump fired James Comey as FBI director.
The media gathered outside the meeting, but when senior committee members Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.) emerged, they said Comey’s firing wasn’t discussed.
Rather, the senators said, the meeting was about how the their committee's probe into Russian activities during last year’s election could proceed without interfering with the FBI’s investigation into the matter

Senate Intel Committee Asks Treasury Dept. For Trump Team’s Financial Info
The Senate Intelligence Committee has asked the Treasury Department for financial information related to President Donald Trump, his senior officials and his campaign staffers, CNN reported Tuesday.
“We’ve made a request, to FinCEN in the Treasury Dept, to make sure, not just for example vis-a-vis the President, but just overall our effort to try to follow the intel no matter where it leads,” Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) told CNN, referring to the Treasury Department’s criminal investigation division. “You get materials that show if there have been, what level of financial ties between, I mean some of the stuff, some of the Trump-related officials, Trump campaign-related officials and other officials and where those dollars flow—not necessarily from Russia.”
Warner is the ranking Democrat on the committee, which is probing Russia’s interference into the 2016 election. He said the request was made in cooperation with committee Chair Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC).

In interviews with CNN, a number of House and Senate lawmakers said that they expect both panels' investigations to drag on well into the fall -- and possibly even into 2018. And there is a high degree of skepticism over whether the two panels would eventually be able to reach any sort of bipartisan agreement on a central question: Did the Russians privately coordinate with Trump officials in an attempt to sway the elections?

The White House Keeps Changing Its Story About Why James Comey Was Fired
President Trump’s assertion Thursday that he had planned to fire FBI Director James Comey before receiving a memo from top Justice Department officials shattered the White House’s explanation of the events leading to the highly unusual move and exacerbated his Administration's growing credibility problem.
Speaking to NBC News, Trump told interviewer Lester Hold that he “was going to fire [Comey] regardless of the recommendation” of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who wrote a memo outlining the case for Comey's dismissal after a meeting at the White House on Monday. Trump's comments contradicted the shifting White House account of the motive behind Comey's ouster, and cast the narratives offered by Vice President Mike Pence and Trump's top two spokespeople into doubt, suggesting that they either lied to reporters or were misled themselves.
The White House said on Tuesday night that Rosenstein had independently recommended that Trump relieve Comey of his responsibilities because of his mishandling of the Clinton email investigation. Trump's remarks to NBC revealed that narrative to be a sham. With Comey overseeing a federal investigation of whether Trump's associates were linked to Russians interference in the 2016 election, the question of motive is paramount.
The shifting story raises new questions about the White House’s assertion that Trump was acting in the best interests of the bureau, as well as whether he was getting rid of Comey to impede the Russia investigation.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to a near record low with significant losses among white voters with no college degree, white men and independent voters, a new poll has found.
The survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University among nationwide participants, found that Trump has a 36% approval rating compared to 58% who disapprove of him. The number is down from Quinnipiac's April 19 poll, which found a 40% approval rating, and just 1% higher than his lowest-ever rating since he became president.

"Congressional officials were told by FBI Director James Comey before he was fired that there are just a small number of Americans who are targets of the criminal or counterintelligence probes involving Russia and that none were President Trump or his top aides, Circa has confirmed."
"The sources spoke as Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) took the extraordinary step of going to the Senate Judiciary open hearing Thursday to say that he had been provided no evidence to date in classified briefings that Trump was a target.
"Shortly after Director Comey briefed us, I tweeted that he should be transparent. I said he should tell the public what he told Senator Feinstein and me about whether the FBI is or is not investigating the President," said Grassley.
"On Tuesday, the President’s letter said that Director Comey told him he was not under investigation. Senator Feinstein and I heard nothing that contradicted the President’s statement."
His statement was backed up by his Democratic counterpart on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Dianne Feinstein (D- CA).

Experts: Trump's Alleged Conversations With Comey Improper
President Donald Trump's statement that he discussed the FBI's Russia investigation with former Director James Comey has raised red flags among legal experts who said such conversations would be improper.
"There generally shouldn't be communications about pending investigations and if you need an explanation why, see: Watergate, basically," said Kathleen Clark, an ethics expert at Washington University's School of Law.
Former federal prosecutors and government ethics experts said the president and FBI director should never discuss pending investigations, at least in the way Trump described it in an exclusive interview Thursday with NBC News' Lester Holt.
While there are many unanswered questions about what actually transpired between Trump and Comey, experts said the alleged conversations raise the issue of potential intimidation and conflicts of interest that those very rules are designed to prevent.
"There should be a structural respect between the Department of Justice and the White House and a measure of propriety so that nobody ever has the conversation we're seeing," said Michael Wildes, a former federal prosecutor.

How would Trump know that? Because he was trying to strongarm the FBI director? Would the FBI director even be able to talk to the target of a potential investigation to tell him, even if he knew?
Seriously?

As had been stated publicly many times the FBI made clear it does not yet have proof of any criminal collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia or any proof voting ballots were changed. These probes can go on for a long time and things can change, but right now that is what is the state (of things)," said a source.

1. What was the nature of current and former associates of Donald Trump with Russia?
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Ca.), the top Democrat on House Intelligence Committee, says there's evidence that former Trump associates -- Paul Manafort, a former campaign manager, ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, former policy adviser Carter Page and longtime friend Roger Stone -- had contacts with Russian sources.
4 of 20
All four men have denied any wrongdoing, but Schiff said this week there is "more than circumstantial" evidence that Trump team members might have given implicit approval to Russian contacts about the releasing of damaging Hillary Clinton. Other intelligence sources, including those interviewed by Circa, say the evidence is too uncertain at present to draw any conclusions from it and that much more work needs to be done.

But all sides agreed these questions need to be answered with far more certainty. Some of the unanswered questions include the exact nature of any contacts and whether any Trump associates even knew they were talking to Russian intelligence actors, who could have been posing as news organizations, hackers, businessmen or other covers.

2. Did the Obama administration improperly unmask and read accidental National Security Agency intercepts of Americans, including Trump associates?
House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes, R-Ca., says he has evidence that NSA Section 702 intercepts of Americans talking to foreigners were being read inside the Obama administration, sometimes with the identities of Americans unmasked.
7 of 20
Nunes says some of those intercepts involved Trump transition figures after the November elections. The unmasking of American intercepts is supposed to be a rare event to further national security interests. If there was a sudden spike last year, Nunes' committee will have to determine whether there were justifiable reasons or whether it was an illegal political espionage effort on behalf of an outgoing administration seeking to monitor its replacement.

3. Were journalists or organizations posing as journalism institutions used by Russia to carry out its counterintelligence missions of disrupting the U.S. election?
In highly classified briefings, U.S. intelligence officials have identified several websites and social media accounts of westerners that were used to spread fake news damaging to Hillary Clinton or to disseminate hacked documents.
Some of the websites were treated as legitimate sources of news during the 2016 election. While much more work must be done to determine if the operators of these sites were complicit players with Russia or just dupes, lawmakers in both parties have keen interest in pursuing this line of inquiry.

Should have just linked the opening paragraph
"While the FBI, to date, has not found any evidence of criminal collusion between Donald Trump's campaign and Russia, the counterintelligence probe into Moscow's effort to hijack the 2016 election still has a long way to go to answer questions essential to repelling future disruptions of American democracy."
