If Roma Comes back from this,

the young popvich should get blame.

Litterally when he took Salah out, liverpool slowed down.

Great forwards excite midfielders like Milner, Henderson etc. They work hard when there's great players upfront.

Inges..Fucking Kloop.

Nah. Bayern is a quality side if they have all their guns.

The problem today is that they lacked pace and creativity so a 50 year old ribery was out there trying to do everything by himself.

James is such an antiquated attacking player. No wonder zidane had this fool in the bench. Great ball touch but in this day and age when being dynamic is key..guy still tries to play like a classic 10.

If they can get robben and Boateng back they should have a chance.

Robben might be back but Boateng probably not.

If they at least had coman they could have played ribbery on roben side vice versa.

Carvajal is clearly a weakpoint and marcelo moves up a lot.

This isnt really a series for James. Good first half but hed had to play like an active CMF to be decent. Its in his nature to play closer to a 10 which kinda sucks today imo.

This is how football goes. Ribbery was making so many good runs down the left side but BM could not convert.

RM showed exactly how to WIN. They played the game exactly how they should have given the circumstances. If anybody cared to notice, their hustle on the defensive end was enormous and... they maintained the ability to sting the opponent who was in frustration mode and ripe to make mistakes. Which they did.

Credit. If BM would have scored, RM looked to be fully capable of changing their style into more of an attack mode. This is a very difficult TEAM to beat.

And Ronaldo was a bystander.
Hes always going to make good runs and passes but... he was Lewandoski on the winning team. Missed a meet-me-score volley right in front of the net to ice the game.

Diastrous play by the Bayern goal keeper & blind pass back. Bayern misses their #1 goalkeeper. These two teams are basically equals.

If Ribbery can give Madrid fits on a wing Salah is gonna be really tough if Liverpool gets in.

tbh you're underrating an in-form ribbery. also it wasn't just ribbery, bayern have amazing play on the flanks : kimmich, alaba, mueller, ribbery are a fucking handful for any defense. Add lewandowski creating space up front and you get a much stronger flank team than liverpool. It's not a one man effort, it's both the personnel and the strategy that made real so vulnerable in this series.

Nah son I was saying he is antiquated. When they loaded him the flanks opened but he is such an antiquated player that he still stayed mostly at the box so even all that space, real had the men in the middle to whatever crossess came their way.

If he was a true top 10 talent, he would have went deep, played the false nine. That way nkt only is the flank open but also the box.

But Lewandoski doesnt have the skillsets to play as a false nine.

Thats his problem.

Benz or Someone like firminho woukd have dominated in this series.

lol son did you watch the game tbh?

that was the strategy, lewandowski had both ramos and varane busy, that's why all bayern action came on far-post crosses, because the box was opened up by lewandowski's taking 2 guys to guard. That's how bayern produced their chances. And that's coaching right there, where you use a piece to negate other pieces and in doing so you open up the board, and it also takes a high level team-first player to pull it off. Bayern did the same thing to penaldo tbh, do you think penaldo is antiquated ? :lol

you have much to learn lil nigga.

Your other winger was gone no? Ribbery caused immense trouble. A 35 yo man. Tactics are fine on paper but if you can’t be flexible it does not matter, one plan can quickly go out the window. There is no way Madrid wanted Ribbery creating that much havoc in 2 games. I guess you need to explain how Robbin being injured made Ribbery a threat. Bayern had every right to get multiple goals off Ribbery low crosses.

You are underestimating Salah. And Liverpool’s ability to attack in various ways without a true CF. Now defense... That’s a problem.

Since when did he become a liverpool fan? I've never seen him cheering on the team in the past until Mo Saleh arrived on the scene.

He was all over Kane's nutsack earlier in the season when he was leading the EPL in goals.( also white and european, that's 2 strikes against Kane right there :lol)

Not a slight toward Saleh, but as far as I'm concerned, Mo needs to grab some serious hardware over the next couple of years and needs to do what he's been doing for more than a half a season before throwing his name in the ring with the Messi's and Sidenaldo's of the world. Anyone can have a break out season but staying on top is another story.

son I was talking about bayern strategy of keeping real's defense busy with lewandowski while laying waste on the wings. Ribbery alone didn't create all that trouble, alaba/kimmich had monster runs and needed to be covered. Also 35 in form year old former world class players are still exceptional.

Ribbery was by far the top playmaker in BOTH games.

He just needed to find the net because his team could not convert chances he gave them.

Robben being gone looks to have ignited Frank or something.
One would think Robben being gone would have caused him more problems.

And...
Then rate Liverpool as vulnerable for the proper reasons.

Bayern could have easily won. That back pass and then misplay by the goalkeeper. Two awful plays during the same sequence. I think Bayern was clearly better 2nd game.

Toothless attack which has been the issue all season long.

I like Valverde but he absolutely got the tactics 100% in the return leg. Barca have yet to have a great manager since Pep.

They weren't gonna win CL anyway this season had they beaten Roma. Their defense was getting worse as the season wore on. Umtiti has turned to shit since the contract renewal issues have come up.

Next season with Coutinho, a more comfortable Dembele and potentially Griezman we should see the best Barca team since 2015.

Son while statistically you are right and I agree on that point, I consider that going b2b2b and going through psg->juventus->bayern isn't that much related to luck but to the ability to mentally dominate games and make your opponents choke. like raptors vs cavs for example. Real has this enormous mental advantage and it results in chokes from other teams, misses, timely goals and sometimes downright unease when playing .. this is how Real put themselves in positions to benefit from luck, because tbh in each match between 2 good teams there's always chances, great teams take them and also mentally frustrate the other teams to miss them.

Of course luck plays a role, but the mental advantage is not luck related.

Its gonna be a high scoring game for sure but people forget Liverpool offense isnt really reliant on structural buildup that sees defenses going forward. Its an offense that relies on quick counter and movement by their trio.

In fact outside of the Roma game where they conceded two pitty goals in the last minute their defense hasnt been that poor.

They only conceded 1 against city in 180 mins and didnt concede any in previous rounds.

A good bet is betting on Goal totals instead of a single team overall goals. I think its a 3.5 last I saw.

Seems like an easy bet to make

Inarguably themost shocking Goalkeeping performance in a big Final ever..Absolute horror show from Karuis..

Madrid are good but their luck in this 4-year CL run is beyond ridiculous.. Never seen something quite like it..

There's no luck there, imo. That's impossible. Zidane trains them so they respond to the challenge, Cristiano and Ramos show up when things get tough, the rest follow suit and they have world class players even on bench.

That was a well known weakness of Liverpool, I'm sure Zidane told them to test the goalie and besides Liverpool almost didn't see the ball in the game.
