Devastated Roy Moore Consoles Himself by Heading to Mall
GADSDEN, ALABAMA —Moments after his stunning defeat in Alabama’s special U.S. Senate election, the Republican candidate, Roy Moore, told reporters that he was planning to cheer himself up by “heading to the mall.”
“If people think they’ve seen the last of Roy Moore, they are sorely mistaken,” a visibly devastated Moore said.
“I’m going to get back up, dust myself off, and head on over to the good ol’ Gadsden Mall.”
But Moore’s plans for a rejuvenating return to his former stomping grounds hit a snag upon his arrival at the mall, where he found an impromptu victory party for the Democrat, Doug Jones, in full swing.
Adding insult to injury, security guards who recognized Moore from his mall-prowling days nabbed the disgraced Republican and hurled him from the premises.
In Washington, one of Moore’s staunchest supporters, Donald J. Trump, excoriated the voters of Alabama for their decision.
“It’s a sad day for America when people believe women,” he said.

In the Guardian interview,
Moore also said "it was
the providential hand of God" that placed Trump in the White House,
and said that
"God knows the heart of man" when asked to comment on Trump's adherence to the Ten Commandments.
He
compared Trump to the biblical King David,
who he said also broke many of God's laws on his way to the throne.

all about turnout. comparing the county electoral maps for the 2016 presidential election and last night's special... thats what stands out. democrat turnout wasn't very far off from the presidential run. clinton only got about 60k more votes than jones, whereas trump got about 700k more than moore. thats crazy. the relative turnouts of mobile alone speaks volumes, considering thats a county with an african american majority

Jerry Moore accused
Democratic Party operatives of persecuting his brother, theocrat Roy Moore, “like Jesus was,”

After Moore lost, his brother roared back to NPR,

Alabama evangelical explains why Moore won’t concede: He can’t believe ‘God would will a Democrat to win’
Plott, a writer at Washingtonian, is also an evangelical Christian who grew up in Alabama — and she has some unique insights into why defeated Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore has not yet conceded the race.
Writing on Twitter, Plott notes that Moore during the campaign said that he had full trust in God that He would help deliver a victory in the 2017 special election.
When Democrat Doug Jones was called as the victor on Tuesday night, this short-circuited Moore’s understanding of the ways that God supposedly operates.
“To be clear: For a candidate to say he is ‘waiting for God to speak’ viz election results is to say he is waiting for God to anoint him the rightful victor,” she explains.
“It is to say that there is no world in which God would will for a Democrat to win.”
“Moments like these should actually encourage good faith evangelical Christians to question whether their politics are reflecting God,”

PAPER BALLOTS IN ALABAMA ARE BEING DESTROYED!
Due to the Alabama’s Supreme Court ruling, paper ballots do not need to be reserved.
This could make a recount impossible.
From The Hill:
The Alabama Supreme Court has reportedly stayed a lower court’s order to election officials that would have required the preservation of voting records in Tuesday’s Senate special election.
A circuit judge on Monday ordered election officials to set voting machines to save all digital ballot images, which would preserve voting records in the event of a recount.
Alabama's AL.com said Tuesday morning that the state's Supreme Court had blocked the order.
A group of four Alabama voters filed a lawsuit last Thursday arguing that the state is required by law to preserve the images. The voters’ attorney, Priscilla Duncan, said that the circuit judge’s order would protect votes if there were an “election challenge.”
“People think that when they mark the ballots and they go into the machine that that's what counted," Duncan told AL.com. "But it's not, the paper ballot is not what's counted. That ballot is scanned and they destroy [the ballots] after the election.”
The judge’s order, which argued that voters would “suffer irreparable and immediate harm if digital ballot images are not preserved,” would have required the images to be saved for six months.

The court consists of an elected Chief Justice and eight elected Associate Justices. Each justice is elected in partisan elections for staggered six-year terms....The Governor of Alabama may fill vacancies when they occur for the remainder of unexpired terms. The current partisan line-up for the court is all Republican.

Thousands of felons registered to vote before Jones won
Thousands of felons may have registered to vote in the weeks leading up to the Alabama Senate election
Pastor Kenneth Glasgow, who spearheaded the effort, said on the November 27 registration deadline that at least 5,000 to 10,000 people statewide had registered that month.
"I've got people all over the state registering people,” Glasgow, who is president of The Ordinary People Society (TOPS) advocacy group, told AL.com (http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/11/advocates_make_last-minute_pus.html) at the time.
“With my TOPS branches in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Montgomery, Enterprise, Dothan, Abbeville, Geneva, Gordon, Bessemer, we have a lot."
The unofficial Senate election results (http://www2.alabamavotes.gov/electionNight/statewideResultsByContest.aspx?ecode=1000915) from Tuesday night show that Jones won 671,151 votes, or 49.9 percent, compared to his Republican opponent Roy Moore’s 650,436 votes, or 48.3 percent.

Considering Alabama has some of the strictest voter ID laws (https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/12/12/16767426/alabama-voter-suppression-senate-moore-jones) in the country —
and has historically made it difficult (http://www.history.com/topics/black-history/selma-montgomery-march) for black residents to cast their votes —
the notion is absolutely racist, ridiculous and dangerous to democracy.
What should stun folks like Mitchell is that Alabama’s anti-voter Secretary of State (http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/12/the-republican-overseeing-the-alabama-election-doesnt-think-voting-should-be-easy/) had anticipated a 25 percent (https://twitter.com/PatThomasNews/status/940775094187708416) turnout when the
actual figure surpassed 50 percent.
But Mitchell wasn’t the only one spreading conspiracy theories (fake news?) about the Democrats committing some sort of deep state voter fraud.
From pseudo-journalists to armchair political scientists, conservative Twitter refused to believe most Alabama voters did not want Moore —
who was twice removed as a judge on Alabama’s Supreme Court — representing them in the Senate.

Roy Moore’s Defeat Means Ted Cruz Retains Status as Most Despised Person in Senate

WASHINGTON —Roy Moore’s defeat in Alabama’s special election means that the Texas senator Ted Cruz will easily retain his status as the most despised person in the United States Senate, congressional insiders confirmed on Wednesday.
According to those insiders,
Cruz had been secretly hoping that Moore’s election would displace him from his unenviable position as the most vilified pariah in the upper chamber.
“Cruz was praying that, if Moore got in, that might change the daily conversation around here from
‘Who has to sit next to Ted?’ ”
one Republican colleague said.
Cruz, whom colleagues deem even more insufferable than such other senatorial ass-clowns as Mitch McConnell and Tom Cotton, was reportedly
“distraught” upon learning that Moore would not be joining him in the U.S. Senate.
“Ted was absolutely positive that Roy would have been more hated than he is,”
one Senate colleague said.
“But, to tell you the truth, it would have been close.”

Liberals Love Lynch Mob ‘Justice’
Apparently, you can’t teach an old dog a new trick. This is why, in every era of history, the elites who run the Democratic Party have always promoted and exploited lynch mob “justice” for political gain.
No matter how many times Republicans have stressed the importance of due process, the rule of law, and not rushing to condemn people based on their skin color or gender (e.g., by abolishing slavery, championing women’s right to vote and terminating the Democrats’ reign of racial segregation and terror known as Jim Crow), Democratic elites always find new ways to manipulate voters by appealing to their emotions and playing the race (or gender) card. The recent, cynical maneuvering of Democratic politicians in response to unproven allegations of “groping” or sexual misconduct provide yet another example of how Democrats rush to make judgments based on emotions — and the race and/or gender of the accused — instead of respecting the hallowed principle that everyone should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
Last week, Democrats forced two of their own (Senator Al Franken and Rep. John Conyers) to walk the plank in response to mere allegations of wrongdoing, in a transparent attempt to position their party to try to score political points against President Trump and the GOP. In neither case did a court of law determine that the two politicians had engaged in wrongdoing. Nor did a congressional ethics panel take testimony, gather evidence or make findings. Instead, to appease the appetites of a rabid liberal mob (and out of political expediency), Democrats stripped two of their colleagues of their right to a fair hearing and forced them to resign under a cloud of shame.
Now, I admit to enjoying a feeling of schadenfreude while watching the pretentious Al Franken get knifed in the back by fellow Democrats given his dishonest hit job on the character of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. What goes around, comes around.
But farsighted Americans must ask ourselves: If cynical and power-hungry Democratic elites are willing to sacrifice their own colleagues to satiate the liberal mob’s thirst for blood, how will they treat normal, non-privileged Americans if it becomes politically expedient for them to sacrifice our rights to due process and to smear our reputations? (We can glimpse an ominous answer to this question by observing how Democrats have politicized the FBI to attack and bankrupt those people whose political views they disagree with.)
At present, a liberal lynch mob wants to incite us all to believe that any man accused of sexual assault or impropriety is a monster and a villain who must be immediately punished and ostracized. Even if the alleged assault occurred 40 years ago and involves an accuser who
manufactured and/or altered evidence and is represented by Gloria Allred, a brazen self-promoter who has a track record of bringing provocative, but never proven accusations to derail the campaigns of Republican politicians (e.g., President Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Herman Cain, etc.) And even if the allegations have never been vetted or ruled upon by any court or tribunal. This is a dangerous development. The rush to judgment encouraged by liberals today in situations involving alleged sexual impropriety constitutes a major threat to due process and the rule of law, two bedrock principles which have made our country a beacon of light and liberty in the eyes of millions of people around the world.
Sadly, there is nothing new about the Democratic Party encouraging people to bypass reasoned investigation in favor of lynch mob justice. Democrats like Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Lyndon B. Johnson had a long track record of opposing anti-lynching laws which were championed by Republicans. Nor is there anything new about Democrats masquerading as the “champions of women” (or “female virtue”) by insisting that a woman’s allegations of sexual wrongdoing have to be believed and demanding punishment without waiting for an objective fact-finder to evaluate the truth or falsity of the accusations. Just ask the families of the “Scottsboro Boys,” Emmett Till, and countless other victims of Democrats’ lynch mob mentality who faced accusations that were later recanted by their supposed victims — but only after great damage had already been done.
For these reasons, it is gut-wrenching to hear self-congratulatory liberals blithely admit that they are “not at all concerned” about the damage inflicted on innocent men from false accusations. Their cavalier attitude towards victims of false allegations makes one wonder whether the lynch mob mentality of Democratic elites has really changed or whether they have simply become more adept at hiding their true, ugly feelings?
Our nation is better off when Americans follow the rule of law and not the passions of the mob. Hopefully, the people of Alabama remember this when deciding whether to elect yet another race-baiting Democrat to the Senate who will support lynch mob injustice.

Tarkanian: Blame Mitch McConnell and the Swamp for Alabama Loss
Mitch McConnell and your Capitol Hill elite cronies, your failures to deliver cost Republicans a solid red Senate seat.
Yes, you are to be blamed for the loss.
Your failure to not only lead but also your failure to act, as well as your failure to support our president, cost Republicans this election.
The American people, from Alabama to my great state of Nevada, have told you time and time again that we support President Trump’s American First agenda. We have told you we are tired of you kicking the can down the road and we demand results. We have told you Obamacare must be repealed and replaced, our borders must be secured, and our success must be punished no longer with an outdated tax code.
Mitch, you just refuse to listen. And, you simply ignore reality.
Only the Republican candidate would support lower taxes, fewer regulations, and an America First agenda. President Trump understood that; you ignored that fact.
President Trump’s election should have woken you and your establishment pals, like Dean Heller, up. Instead, you all continue to fail us.
While the Alabama election is difficult, real conservatives remain committed to the cause.
Conservatives like me will not back down. We will continue to support President Trump and continue to take on the swamp.
We will continue to do so until the power in Washington is back in the people’s hands.
Danny Tarkanian is a candidate for U.S. Senate in Nevada in 2018. He is facing establishment U.S. Senator Dean Heller in the Republican primary.

Roy Moore Stunned Trump Hasn’t Reached Out Since Election: “That’s Not Christian!”
“We shared groping stories, we laughed about the fake sexual allegations — now, nothing”
“I just don’t understand it,” said Moore, speaking with reporters on Thursday, a few days after suffering a humiliating defeat in the rubiest red state in the nation.
“The president and I share so much history together, what with the sexual allegations and all, and we were getting along just great.
Then, suddenly, he doesn’t call, doesn’t text, doesn’t even tweet about me. What kind of friend is that?
It’s almost like he was just using me for his own political purposes.”
Moore says that he spoke with Mr. Trump, or to one of his aides, every day before the election, sometimes more than once a day, and then all contact abruptly ceased.
“Maybe that’s how they do friendship up north, but down here in Alabama we don’t kick a man to the curb when he’s down.”
“That’s the other weird thing. Bannon just up and disappeared, too. He won’t take my calls, doesn’t respond to my emails.
Steve was one of my biggest champions, came down here a few times to campaign with me, couldn’t say enough good things about Judge Moore.
Now I’m starting to think that he never really wanted to be friends in the first place.”

Feisty this week aren't we?
In my church, as in most churches, we did not practice Old Testament Law because Jesus Christ's death and resurrection fulfilled the Old Law and redeemed humanity from its failure to uphold it.
Hebrews 8:
7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. 8 But God found fault with the people and said:
“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
and I turned away from them,
declares the Lord.
10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11 No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.
13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.
Maybe your church still executed homosexuals like in Leviticus? Sure would explain a lot.

I almost posted that verse but "abolish" is commonly misinterpreted in its context. The original Greek term for used "abolish" is more closely translated as "invalidated." Christ did not oppose or contradict the scripture of the Old Law, He fulfilled it. It is no longer necessary to follow the Old Testament to the letter, but it is necessary for Christians to understand it, which is why it's still in the Bible.

This was about homosexuals.
If Paul thought the law had been fulfilled, why would he say God's just requirement is that they deserve to die?
"Deserve" is different from "compelled by law." Core Christian belief is we all deserve to die for our sins. It's the foundation of the Garden of Eden story.
And actually, if you read the full context, this passage is about idolatrous people being given over by God to sin, including homosexual behavior (along with greed, depravity, deceit, arrogance, insolence and disobedience to their parents.)
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
:lol
So god thinks they deserve it, and Paul knows this, but yet Jesus fulfilled the law so God doesn't actually want them dead?
This makes no sense. Do you think homosexuals deserve death? Does your church agree with their god that homosexuals deserve death?

the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ
However... saying God thinks they deserve to die isn't the same as saying this behavior will lead to death. It's saying "if god had his way... you'd be dead"

Alabama State Police Arrest 3 Poll Workers In Birmingham
Alabama State Police have arrested three women in Birmingham for allowing more than 3000 invalid votes for Doug Jones to processed through the polling station they had volunteered to operate. The State Attorney’s Division of Integrity in Elections is calling the acts of the women a “blatant disregard for the duties of civil servants, a violation of the public trust and a 2nd-degree felony.”
Wanda Werkmeister, Olivia Pertuiary, and Maureen Brown will all face charges of conspiracy to contribute to widespread voter fraud and violation of the public trust, both punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a million dollars in fines.
Roy Moore’s campaign, on the news that voter fraud was rampant in Birmingham and all of Applevale County, is standing by at the door of the clerk’s office to the 17th District Federal Court of Appeals to file an injunction against a single vote from the Democrat stronghold to be counted.
Pundits on both sides are speculating that the outcome will almost certainly be a Roy Moore win. Sean Hannity, speaking as a guest on Dana Loesch’s new show, Guns God and Grits, said:
“Without that inner-city ghetto vote, Doug Jones doesn’t have a chance. It doesn’t make much sense why someone from the city’s vote is so much more important to Democrats, who swear they aren’t at all racist.”
The Alabama Office of Election Certification and Ethics says it will abide by the wishes of the Secretary of State before certifying the vote and sending it to the governor for his signature.
Big League Politics
Judge Roy Moore is calling for all the votes to be counted in the Alabama Senate election, refusing to concede the race to Doug Jones even as the mainstream media declares a premature victory.
Moore is down 1.7 points and only needs to come within a half-point to spark a statewide recount. Absentee ballots from military service members have still not been counted. Mobile County, a heavily pro-Jones county, tabulated its votes later than the pro-Moore counties, and eventually gave Jones the lead.
The Alabama Supreme Court shot down a lower court ruling Tuesday requiring counties to preserve their digital voting records. Thus, the Supreme Court is allowing counties to destroy their voter records. The Moore legal team will need to jump on this development fast to protect those records.
Evidence of voter fraud exists in the election.

Democratic activists made a last-minute push to get out the vote against Roy Moore in Alabama by encouraging “African-Americans in Mississippi” to vote in the wrong state.
Sources on the ground in Alabama confirm that these tactics are real, and they have been used by supporters of Democrat Doug Jones.
Big League Politics received evidence of a Reddit call for “African-Americans in Mississippi” to “make a short trip to Alabama on December 12.” That Reddit thread is still active.
Similar calls have been made on Reddit for African-Americans in other nearby states, including Georgia and Tennessee.
There was also a concerted effort underway to register felons to vote in the Alabama special election.
AL.com reports:
“Thousands of felons across Alabama have registered to vote in recent weeks, according to Pastor Kenneth Glasgow, who is heading up a statewide effort to get felons to the voting booth.
Glasgow’s goal is to get as many felons as possible signed up to vote before the end of the day Monday, the deadline to be able to cast a ballot in Alabama’s Dec. 12 U.S. Senate special election…
For generations, most Alabamians convicted of a felony were barred from ever voting in the state again, but the Definition of Moral Turpitude Act, a new law passed by the state Legislature and signed by Gov. Kay Ivey in May, cleared the way for thousands of felons to restore their voting rights.”

Conspiracy to Contribute to Negligible Voter Fraud is a lesser charge.
Still not sure why it wouldn’t be “conspiracy to commit...” seeing that that’s how every other fucking conspiracy charge that exists in the penal code is labeled :lol

Eh, Christians still love pushing the 10 commandments and whatever else they feel like cherry picking out of the OT

The question was valid. If the Old Law is still in practice why don't Christians execute homosexuals or follow 99% of Leviticus anymore? They don't even "keep the Sabbath holy."
I make a snarky side comment to an obvious troll and suddenly I'm being challenged on Bible theory. I love this website.
Witches were burned at the stake by good Christians as late as the 1800's in Europe.
Witches and warlocks are still put to death, by Christians in various places around the world, Africa and India, for example, today.
All based on the "shall not suffer a sorceress to live" part of the old Testament. Seems like someone didn't get the memo.

that in and of itself is a false equivalence
you are falsely equivocating the left's false equivalence defense to the right's false equivalence defense

That's actually a testament to so-called conservatives that they aren't sheep. If this had happened in a deep blue urban district (Dem perp), the Republican still would have been slaughtered.
