I believe I did offer an answer. As have others. You seem to have your own answer that you're not willing to share. So there's not
much point.

You didn't answer the question, as I have already explained. You answered a different question than what was asked.

If you think you answered the question, you are simply incorrect. I don't know what more I can say.

I have pretty much outlined what I think it means, but will trot that out clearly at some point. I just want to give you a chance to do so first.

In other words your going to continue to pretend there is some profound meaning to yet another stupid thread you've started.

There is a pretty important thrust of the thread. Your attacks on me, or seeming inability to fathom what that is, doesn't affect that truth.

This has been conventional thinking for a decade or more and yet during that time the GOP has managed to find itself with the most power they've had in a century.

GOP leadership is fully aware of this trend and has taken many aggressive, totalitarian steps to counter this. These steps include voter suppression efforts directed by state governments where the GOP controls voting rules and laws, and diluting Democratic votes through active partisan gerrymandering.

That the GOP holds more power than they have had in a century does not disprove conventional wisdom. It does, however, outline how effectively the GOP has been cheating Democrats out of voting power.

On another note, I can't believe that they're making a movie based on the average arcade game, Rampage.
Is this tie in necessary?

The one thing that made this game frustrating as hell was that you could punch and damage the other players playing with you.
So at the beginning of the game, everyone agrees NOT to do it. Then someone gets frustrated and starts knocking other niggas off the
buildings. Usually because someone else scooped up some humans in front of them.

But then once someone takes the first shot, the rest of the game was spent trying to fuck up the other players.
Instead of keeping the game going.

It isn't a test, it is an invitation for you to think and discuss something.

It would seem to me that you can know what the lack of diversity means, even when there was never significant diversity to begin with, which I am not sure is the case.

How do you know that there never was "any significant diversity to begin with [at the white house internship program"?

Those aren't white house interns. Your question is a rather transparent attempt to dodge a fairly asked question. If you won't extend the good faith and honesty to me to meaningfully attempt to answer my original question, I will not answer yours. Quid pro quo. The only thing you have accomplished is making yourself seem evasive.

Do you think that changing the subject, and ignoring a fair question is indicative of a strong argument?

How do you know that there never was "any significant diversity to begin with [at the white house internship program]"?

So diversity only matters in cherry picked situations?

What are the ramifications of the lack of diversity in the USA Basketball program? What's the eventual outcome?

What does it mean that so few young people of color are interning at the current White House? What are the implications, both present and future?

Is the lack of diversity in the presidential white house internship program specifically one that the Trump administration is facing?

https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rqW-SMCpWqg/WIHAY4pMjwI/AAAAAAAAXQs/mWX0hFwcGNE1Qfb5d6equrWoXo-zlNFdwCLcB/s640/White-House-interns.jpg

Only 8-10% for Obama! How come it wasn't representative of the melanin peopled population?!?! How many times did you flip when you saw this picture? What did the lack of diversity mean for the country past, present, or future?

Is 8-10% more than 2%? Why fewer this year than in the year you pictured?

8-10% of what ethnicity? Did you include non-African Americans? Asians? Hispanic? How did you reach this number?

What does it mean that so few young people of color are interning at the current White House?

We have determined that self-selection might be a cause. Why is that important?

As a Democrat, I think a "toothless GOP" is a bad thing. Healthy democracy requires more than one effective party, in my opinion. I would agree that there needs to be a shift in moderation for the GOP.

I finally agree with you on something. A strong conservative party (or opposition party) is essential for a proper democracy. It's why so many installed democracies eventually fail.

Any ideas as to how to do that?

I think you're already seeing a shift to moderation with Trump. He's definitely not a true conservative. He spends big (not conservative) and I don't believe that he is a hard line pro-life/anti-gay conservative. There are a few things I think that, apart from Trump, will help make a more moderate GOP:

1) The decline of the Evangelical base, down to 17% in 2016, will create less pandering to this portion of the population (abortion/marriage).
2) The growth of the Hispanic population and their increased socio-economic status
a) Hispanic households with income over $50K increased to 48% in 2014 from 33% in 2000. (http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/insights/news/2016/hispanic-influence-reaches-new-heights-in-the-us.html)
b) As people, race not considered, make more money they become more conservative. (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/sean-mcelwee/new-evidence-that-the-ric_b_7153396.html)
3) Historically low African-American unemployment numbers, thanks to Obama, which will also increase the wealth and conservatism of African-Americans. (See above)

So you are saying that liberals will become more moderate/right as time goes by, and that will force the GOP to be more moderate.

What if they simply keep voting for Democrats, forcing that party to be more centrist?

How exactly is my post condescending?

The white house internship program is relevant because it reflects the priorities of the executive branch, and by extension the party of that president. It is further relevant because it is an opportunity to train the next generation in government.

Not fully detailing what "all that entails" means isn't a failure, simply because you say it is. I reject that out of hand. It means exactly what I meant, and was simply a shorthand. If you want it elucidated, I guess I can, but would simply ask you as well, what you think it means.

My point, and my questions don't hinge on any specific "appropriate number of minorities" is. On that we can agree. I would go so far as to say that any administration that is almost exclusively white is a problem.

As for "not a big deal", I would disagree for the relevant reasons above, as well as the others outlined here.

It's condescending because you're assuming others here haven't already thought this through.

And your reasons aren't relevant just because you say they are. Sorry.

If you want to make a direct claim and get down to it, then go for it. If not then take a hike, professor.

I find your reaction to having to consider the implications of what an almost entirely white internship program means to be part of the problem.

You can't address it in any serious way, so you choose to attempt to derail the thread.

In this case, I as a liberal, can now simply show how unserious or unprepared conservatives are about serious discussion of race and other issues.

The Trash WH is racist. duh. Invited only white military wives.

Racism, "loss of identity/white privilege", was the primary reason Trash's base voted for him, while the oligarchy's economic crushing of his white base was secondary.
