I know this seems like an obvious question at the moment given the recent events...but fans tend to have a pretty short memory.

On one hand, Kawhi spent had 5 good years in San Antonio and was a key part of the beautiful 2014 title run.

On the other hand, he pretty much bitched out of San Antonio and altered the landscape of the franchise for the foreseeable future.

Obviously, there is some well-deserved vitriol being directed at Kawhi right now. But, the NBA schedule is still a ways off from being released, and we have no idea how long it will be until he will actually have to show his face in front of a San Antonio crowd.

Will the Spurs take their typical "classy" approach and put up a Thank You Kawhi tribute on his return to try to calm the crowd? Will people even care if they do?

Or will he be boo'd every time he touches the ball like he deserves to be imo?
