Cunningham needs to work on his 3 with Chip, just to get more confident. But he needs mins most nights. Can't have Bertans guarding LeBron or other perimeter threats. Sounds terrifying just thinking about it
Maybe when you face a Lebron, Durant, Kawhi, Giannis. But in most nights, Bertans will be more useful than Cunningham.

Glad to hear DeMar mention the "great locker room team" stuff.. Watching them so far it has seemed like they all like each other out there and are having fun again

Yea. Bertans has to play, his quick trigger will help with most lineups. Still makes some mistakes defensively, but hoping he cleans that up as the season goes on
I just think Cunningham has a role too, doing the dirty work. Feel like we need someone like that

Big ole woman? she's thicc
Yea that's probably fair. Raptors fan here btw.
Here are two things that you guys probably haven't got to see from JP: he's got great hands and timing on jumps. I think his parents were former pro vball players so I think he gets the good timing from that tbh. He's agile and mobile too for a big. Don't give up on him yet, he's definitely got ways to go but he's got a great arsenal of skillsets for modern ball. He's analytics were good with the raps cause he played with a good facilitator in FVV; once he gets those opportunities, you'll be pleasantly surprised with him

Raptors fans had this weird obsession with Poodle. Welcome to spurstalk. Any chance you're from REALGM?
Poeltl will be most effective when he plays with Derrick White and they can run pick & rolls

I will say this every Big we have ever had outside of Timmy and David have had a hard time their first year.

I would think we'd move on from Leonard and focus on our own team. *shrugs* 2014 will always be sweet. I'm down with what we got now. Spurs win and Lakers lose. Good day for me.
Life is good.

Has Pops openly talked about when he is considering retiring?

Mustn't call him that. He's either Coach Pop, or just Pop. ;-)

Initially said he would go when Duncan left. But then vowed to stay the 4 years after signing Aldridge. Now his current contract ends at the end of next season.
I believe he will hang it up after next season. But who knows. He has USA basketball in summer of 2020 so he might coach until that's over.

Y'all will be sad to see him go for sure. It's not like a Dwane Casey firing, which was a relief as a Raptors fan.

If we're getting serious I have to say that is very true. It will be a sad and gloomy day when Coach Pop retires.
But until then.... what the devil is that crazy old coot thinking when he plays Forbes and Mills together!? He must be out of his freaking mind!

But will be a sad day when he leaves.

What would you have done differently? Most teams have suspect rotations, especially teams with a short roster due to injuries. At least we have DeIronMan playing a lot to compensate for the injured riddled roster.
