there was potential for a legendary rivalry with cleveland and gs, or potentially for a (legitimate) continuation of lebron vs KD, and while technically cleveland and GS kept facing off and it involved lebron and kd, it was completely ruined by the imbalance created by GS

a lot of people lost interest in the league because it became obvious there was no way anyone had a remote chance at beating GS without multiple major injuries (and even then, they still were very close to winning :lol)


by next season, things should begin to improve though now with covid fading, more parity, and lots of good young talent

Yeah, take Cade and stay relatively healthy, and I’d expect around or close to .500. They were better than their record this season. Started the season horribly but got better as the season progressed and as some of the rookies got more comfortable. But late in the season, they started to tank proactively, sitting multiple starters most of the last month, month and a half. I don’t think they’ll be good. But maybe a league average type team, and certainly one would think noticeably improved.

I'm gonna step out of line and say, I liked all the reviews. And Booker definitely touched it last. I want them to get every call right. Very rarely will you have 5 plays that need to be reviewed in the last minute, but when that does happen, they all need to be reviewed.

Marv made a great point about this game passing by fast and few fouls being called. One of the best things about the NBA vs the NFL and MLB is the continuous action sequences as opposed to the 30-40 seconds stoppages between each play in those sports. It gets ruined with 500 free throws and foul calls

The 35% is because he's and scared as shit. It's way below his career norms and as they started fouling him more he started getting more and more scared. Cris Webber was great AND scared as hell in crunch time his whole career. Hell, it wasn't just him that whole team was loaded with chokers afraid of the moment outside of Bibby. Peja and Hedo were air balling threes and hitting the side of the backboard in crunch time of the final two games of that series that's how scared they were. No way in hell elite three-point shooters for their time like those two guys can't even hit the rim on open shots theyre focusing hard on.

Curry was blessed with a superior team that still got beat in finals 2x and has proved he cannot lead without Thompson and Durant. Not once was he MVP of a finals as he consistently deferred to Durant to take the key shots. All Curry is a great shooter. Young may get some players around him and get a chip or two but is a lot more fun to watch already than the soft Curry. Yes Curry right now still accomplished but time will tell.
