Yep. Redskins might actually have a long term answer at QB. Not old AxMiff or Trashkins.

Still not over, if they hold I'm not sure a FG kick into that side of the field is honestly possible, unless it's truly a chip shot

Damnit. I had Diggs in my keeper fantasy league last year and let him go. Don’t think anyone foresaw the Bills airing it out like this and Allen taking such a big step forward. Gonna be one of the best reciever/qb combos for years to come

Millennial_Messiah
01-16-2021, 10:56 PM
Bills need to convert at least one more first down. 49 yard kick on that side of the field right now is like a 74 yard kick in normal circumstances

Millennial_Messiah
01-16-2021, 10:57 PM
Even a 44 yarder now is about a 61 yarder in normal circumstances

17-10 with plenty of time left.

even if Dobbins/Andrews didn't drop their TD then this game still could have had a chance. Now it's over because even if Baltimore scores it's mandatory onside kick territory and we all know onside kicks don't work.

I gotta admit, I don't know anything about Buffalo, NY. Is it as much of a shithole as Louis CK says it is?

It's a fine little city. Definitely not a shithole. I've been there only once in my life. They have good food there too and some nice attractions like Niagara Falls and the cute little downtown area. M&T Bank, despite being the Ravens stadium namesake, is actually the biggest employer in Buffalo, and the tallest tower in downtown Buffalo belongs to M&T Bank. It's definitely a hybrid American-Canadian atmosphere but the people up there are generally nice and friendly, more midwestern types, not assholes like in the NYC metro area.

Fun fact about Buffalo: There are more Tim Horton's Donuts franchises than big-name gas stations in Buffalo. They go crazy up there for those doughnuts.

Here are some of the nation's REAL shitholes (that I've been to):

-St. Louis (probably takes the cake IMO -- the whole city is ghetto)
-East Atlanta (DeKalb County)
-South Side of Chicago
-Deep Ellum, East Dallas
-Camden, NJ (just across the bridge east of Philly)
-Vicksburg, Mississippi
-Jackson, Mississippi
-Little Rock, Arkansas
-East Louisiana
-Edgewood, San Antonio
-Harlem, NYC (though probably not as bad as it once was -- it was a bit frightening waiting for the bus in broad daylight, though).

Couple observations:

-Josh played well in the face of pressure but badly overthrew some deep balls
-Our defense outside of the first drive was damn near perfect; relentless, fast, disciplined, and made their tackles. The front-7 did a complete 180 after the Colts embarrassment.
-Diggs is unguardable, and John Brown was great in adjusting to the low-to-intermediate routes, he usually just runs posts
-Gabe Davis had a bad game after his strong performance against the Colts. We need both him and Beasley at their best next week. More McKenzie and Knox as well, as they are key pieces to this offense
-We have no running game with Moss out. We badly need Singletary to step up, but would love to see Antonio Williams and Devonte Freeman play next week, while Yeldon and Taiwan Jones sit out. KC is not terribly good against the run, so Allen, Singletary, Williams, and Freeman should be able to find some holes with the increased attention on Buffalo’s passing attack.
-Offensive line was a mixed bag. It’s playoff football, so they held their own in pass blocking and the Bills didn’t really attempt to run the ball, so I’ll reserve judgment.
-Kicking: bad days from our normally stud K and P, but wind was obviously a factor. Still worrisome for next week’s game in KC or Buffalo.
-Coaching: Daboll is as pass-happy as they come, but his hands were tied because he had one actual RB with playing time this season (Singletary)...hopefully a full complimentary of backs next week will better help set up the PA.

Desired next opponent: Buffalo just played arguably the 2 most talented and physical teams in the trenches in the AFC. The Browns possess two good lines as well. KC’s front 7 is feast or famine, but their o-line has looked shaky these past couple months. A Cleveland win means another Bills home game and not having to face the SB champs, but I would love to see if Allen can take down Mahomes. At least the big game experience would be invaluable. Plus, I want Allen to win more playoff games than the rest of the 2018 class:)....

1. Baker Mayfield (1-0)
2. Sam Darnold (0-0)
7. Josh Allen (2-1)
10. Josh Rosen (0-0)
32. Lamar Jackson (1-3)
76. Mason Rudolph (0-0*)

:lol Deep Ellum a sh!thole? It's not my favorite place either but lol @ lumping it in with ghetto dumps like South Chicago, St Louis, etc

The part just east of Downtown Dallas, past the DART East Transfer Center by Malcolm X boulevard is a dump. I was walking around on foot, no car, towing a suitcase with $8,000 cash in it and had to wait overnight at a coffee shop so I could catch the train back to Denton, this was late May of 2016. Nothing but negroes including "megan thee stallion" looking MtF trannies trying to get money.

But nothing compares to St Louis. December 3, 2019 driving back from Chicago I stopped at a BP near downtown St Louis to try and get gas and 4 cars with n!ggers packing heat arrived there at the same time, likely for a drug deal. It was about 2am. Needless to say, I didn't get gas there, and ended up booking it 60 out of there and getting gas at a Pilot about 20-25 miles to the southwest.

Mahomes lower leg injuries seem to be his achilles heel, pardon the pun. Remember the Texans, Titans and Colts losses last year when Mahomes was moving gingerly. It's these times where the defense can take advantage like sharks going after blood.

Chiefs might be wise to play the backup QB from here forward in this game, rely on the D to finish the Browns, rely on the run game and D to beat Buffalo next week, and preserve Mahomes for the Super Bowl.

The zone blitz has been effective. Blitz fast safeties off the edge and drop a d-lineman to cover the checkdowns in the flats so they can make a tackle for minimal gain or a loss.

So what? These guys make millions per year. Oil drillers and coal miners face far worse long term health consequences and they don't even pull six figures a year. Looks like someone forgot their midol and/or their tampon today.

Buffalo tends to make that happen, but only if the game is in Buffalo, which it won't be

If the injury isn't serious, Mahomes will be back near 100% for the Super Bowl as long as they can win the home game against Buffalo with the backup QB. Who else is available at this late hour of the season? I don't think Henne is very good. Haskins? He sucks. Who else, tbh?

Millennial_Messiah
01-17-2021, 05:18 PM
Could also be a neck injury.

That would be more serious and potentially career threatening than a simple concussion which is a 5-10 day injury tops. The neck injuries have ended careers and forced both the Cowboys pro bowl bookend tackles to miss the entire 2020 season.

But if it is a concussion then an independent neurologist from the league would ban him from the AFCCG just as if he had covid.

If it's a neck/upper spinal injury it could actually jeopardize his career.

If it's a torn ACL, meniscus, torn achilles, broken bone etc obviously he's done until training camp.

If it's a re-aggravation of the sore leg that he injured earlier, that's the best case scenario, but he still wouldn't be 100% next week and playing him next week might lead to similar complications the Chiefs faced midway through last year before shutting him down a couple games.

Not a whole lot of "good" outcomes for Chiefs Nation right now, tbh. The best would be to rest up Mahomes, hope it's nothing too serious, the Chiefs beat the Bills without him, and then likely he's 100% in time for the Super Bowl.

The only one of those that happens is CEH staying put. Bells days as a bell cow are done. He can’t even get carries over Darrell fucking Williams. Another washed up rb you had a bad take on and can’t admit it. Also, packers don’t want a bellcow. Lafluer wants a committee tbh. Packers would probably love to have Williams back. I think someone pays him too much somewhere, not a huge deal, but more than the packers can afford. We are cash strapped. Even if bringing Williams back Dillon is the main back with Williams being 3rd down/change of pace.

Well, I was thinking more of a minor injury/soreness to where he's not 100% but has no risk of suffering a major injury by playing through it. IMO, in your first and third scenarios he'd be forced out anyway, so it's not like it's in the Chiefs hands. To your second point, you definitely sit him if it's a career-threatening injury. Not even taking into account the fact that it's obviously morally reprehensible to jeopardize someone's career just to win a game, they also don't want to throw away the chance at multiple Super Bowls in the future.

Which is weird because usually GB is one of the best cap managed teams in the league because they're notorious for re-signing their own but not bringing on external free agents. But that all changed when LaFleur brought in Preston and Zadarius Smith. Losing Blake Martinez I thought would have made their bad run defense even worse but oddly it hasn't... yet.

I think with the Packers they'll just bring in a few cheap backs and it really doesn't matter too much as long as they have speed and talent, they have the best OL in football and a top 3-5 quarterback so the running game will be just fine, it won't be elite but it will be complementary for sure.

Remember the 3 AFC South losses for the Chiefs last year. They were lost because Mahomes was playing at 50%. They shut him down a couple weeks and then he came back 100% and didn't lose a game en route to the Super Bowl.

IMO the Chiefs rest him, try to beat Buffalo next week, then Mahomes makes his triumphant return at 100% on February 7th (helps the Chiefs that the SB is a little later in Feb this year) and repeats.

The difference between Mahomes and Henne officially strikes. #INT

Mahomes NEVER makes that bad of a mistake, tbh.

That was bad for anyone. Even if the safety wasn't there, that ball missed the WR by 15 yards.

But the fact that he was there makes it that much worse obviously.

Just like Wats:loln, tbh

Threw into the heart of the coverage. Lmao. Terrible. Worse than a Wentz level mistake, or Cousins

Bad on Mayfield for wasting a timeout there, tbh. Especially since they already wasted one on the challenge. Very bad and Harbaugh/McVay-like, tbh.

catch the ball cleanly you f@ggot. Probably more worried about his next "1st down" Tiktok celebration then making the catch tbh imho

4 minutes to chew up the clock would have been game with Mahomes in there.

I don't see the analytics behind punting there.

Exactly. That's why you don't go full Sean McVay with burning timeouts like bonfire logwood tbh

Sack there was better than an incompletion, tbh.

Yes, but now there's virtually zero chance of a conversion. But the Browns will get it back with about 1:10 and no timeouts needing a TD.
