Spurs actually had impressive wins without Demar/Aldridge when Lonnie had to be aggressive. I mean the young core really could play run and gun like the bubble games, but they choose to walk the ball which is infuriating. It’s self-defeating with all the speed just to stop and set-up half court offense. Like Lonnie has very good results when he penetrates and sucks defense, like Elliott mentioned, good things happen
Agreed...I don't understand why we play so slow... especially Lonnie who can be a 1 man fast break...and I think if we get rid of both LMA and DDR, we will have some bad games as we adjust to the new players and switching up the offensive philosophy a bit...but our defense should be the same or better, and I do expect ppl to step up offensively

Right? To think that Pop would use the long athletic guards with mobile bigs to run and gun like the bubble, but instead watch a lot of Patty Mills pick and chuck :lol

For reference, the Spurs are 25th in 1st quarter scoring margin per game (-2.5), 1st in the 2nd quarter (+4.2), 25th in the 3rd quarter (-1.4), and 13th in the 4th quarter (+0.4).

hmm first and third quarters feature the starters a lot. I am guessing out starting line-ups suck. They're pretty important quarters. When/if everyone is healthy, Pop needs to stop starting scrubs like Lyles out there.
