In before people get upset Samanic doesn't sniff minutes tonight.
If Pop truly believes he's not worthy of minutes at this point of his career (and especially since he's flashed some NBA skills), they would ship him out with Aldridge or trade him this offseason without hesitation.
Since I don't think either will happen, I think there's a plan for Luka... and it's not a plan many fans agree with since it's so obvious he would help us win right now.

Arguing semantics here, but my main point is it's clear Samanic helps now and Pop knows that, even though his actions are expressing the opposite. Merely addressing those who are crying for him to play. He's not playing not because Pop thinks he's no good, and it's important to have that in mind.
He’ll play, it just won’t be regular. Spurs are running a 9-10 man rotation, and with the compressed schedule, they’ll likely sit 3 of them, and run in 3 other guys, probably Luka, Lyles, and Tre. It’ll probably happen once for each B2B, and throw in a couple of other times.

Feel like Orlando has been a tough matchup the last few years regardless of their roster and tonight will be no different.
I’m interested to see who the Spurs start in DDR’s place tonight.
Likely choice is Lonnie but Pop tends to sub out (when healthy), White and DJ together replacing with Mills and Lonnie.
With shot creation a problem, lingering effects of COVID and the marathon like schedule ahead;
would the Spurs upsize at the ‘4’ shifting KJ to the ‘3’ - or perhaps
throw Vassell into the fire to get some reps - playing only 1st and 3rd Qs in a start...
Could be one of those crystal ball type games to the Spurs future lineups in seasons ahead.
