Was saying this to my brother. Herbert is young and has all the tools to grow into it, but right now the dude just isn't a two-minute QB.

Defense got a huge amount of key stops and takeaways, and they were without their best player. Mahomes got 400 but played far from a perfect game.
Chiefs' defense has been great for some weeks now. Their improvement is the reason why the Chiefs are, not only as division leaders, but still alive. With how inconsistent Mahomes and the offense have been this season, the Chiefs would be out of the playoffs picture for good if it wasn't for their defense.

Who they have played since improving their defense? Chargers, Raiders, Broncos, Packers, Cowboys. A bunch of over 500 teams, most of which have held to around 10 ppg. When they were giving up 30 ppg they were facing teams with similar or worse records.

Meant more in the sense that he'll never lead his team to anything more than a playoff berth, but yeah physically he's far superior to Dalton.

The Raiders are like 1-5 since losing Gruden, the Cowboys were missing their starting tackles and best 2 WRs, the Packers were missing Rodgers, Denver doesn't have a QB.

Excuses. If you look hard enough I bet you can find several missing players on opposing teams when they were giving up 30 ppg too.

Well in hindsight losing at home to Buffalo looks atrocious. @ BAL, vs LAC, @ TEN (with healthy Henry) are all solid losses but ones that ultimately sting. They're 5-0 against the NFC which might hurt them in conference tiebreakers.
Millennial_Messiah
12-17-2021, 06:38 PM
Actually in all 4 of their losses their opponents were close to 100% healthy, if you discount the RB situation for the Ravens... but RB is the most replaceable position in football.

Seems about right. Only complaint is that they should actually give The Bot Bowl 100% coverage and not even air these other games tbh. 80% coverage is not enough considering you have two storied franchises both built into powerhouses by GOATett, his legacy will be remembered for years IMO

Welp, if it's any solace, there were three straight champions won from SB 46-48 with suboptimal QB play (2011 Giants, 2012 Ravens, 2013 Seahawks) and the Cowboys happen to have the 2013 Seahawks defensive coordinator and level of talent on defense. I really like how Malik Hooker has come into his own at free safety. Glad to see he finally got his first INT as a Cowboy today, it's been building up for awhile. Lock up him and Kearse and Gregory and Quinn and we'll have the legion of boom 2.0 in Dallas for years to come.

Of course they do and we call em out for it.
The PI call didn't even involve a flop. Pass was straight up dropped on 3rd down and the refs didnt want Rodgers to be sad, so they gifted him a 1st down.

Especially since GB had only one timeout. They would have most likely just kneeled it and played for OT as well, with the score 31-31 and both teams only having 1 timeout. If you make it 32-31 odds are Fraudgers gets into FG range with a PI or something and GB wins 34-32 in regulation.
If you play for OT, odds are 50-50 and with the way both teams were moving the ball, odds are whoever wins the coin toss wins the game.

It'd be nice, but I don't see it unless Taylor pulls of a couple more Buffalo esque stat sheet stuffer games.
Brady/Rodgers prolly have a decent lead on the rest of the field.

Bills have been awful this year but Allen is like 2nd or 3rd in total yards for a QB and will finish with comparable stats to last year (maybe 3-4 more INTs) despite a bottom-five Offensive line and worst set of RBs in the league. He’s been running for his life so some of the throws are off, but if they win out at 11-6 he should get some consideration. Last year was so meteoric and perfect that he had nowhere to go but down, so that’s how he’ll be viewed, but the stats speak for themselves.
Brady or Taylor should be the favorites, despite this most recent Bucs game. Every team/player has laid a few eggs this year.
