Interesting…Miller’s odds to go #2 have dropped noticeably today.

There but by the grace of God . . .

Imagine watching Jabari Smith Jr struggle an entire season because his skillset doesn't translate well and then try to pick the exact same player and pay him even more.

Goddamnit I should have bet Scoot when he was plus money at #2 :lol

Here's my prediction for the top 10:

1. Wemby
2. Scoot
3. Miller
4. Amen
5. Ausar
6. Black
7. Walker
8. Whitmore
9. Bufkin
10. Hendricks or Lively

Bold Prediction: Spurs trade back into the top 15 and take Cason Wallace

Bufkin at 9 would be insane. I’d love Cason Wallace though, especially in the 12-16 range. I wonder if there’s actually going to be a few trades this year or if it’s all just noise as usual.

If Dallas doesn't go Lively at 10 expect them to trade for a center. Maybe signing Poeltl even

Where do you have Bufkin going? I honestly think the lowest he goes is 12 to Toronto, he's skyrocketed these last few weeks. I'm a big fan of the kid tbh.

Cason Wallace would be great. Or Taylor Hendricks. But very unlikely to happen.

Still wouldn't surprise me to see the scrub league twins drop hard compared to al these mocks putting Amen at #4.

Which nation? He has like three.

heyheymymy
06-22-2023, 12:05 PM
Victor Wembanyama
Colby Jones
Julian Strawther

would be a pretty cool night even without any moves.

owners just using their franchises to launder money

Why do they even allow trading picks for cash?

Spurs trading 44 for cash would be completely unsurprising tbh.

that was the last of the cash considerations LAL are allowed to deal for the 22-23 league year (resets in july). they had given like 2.2 mil in the mo bamba trade, so they just used the rest of it here

Saw that too. Not sure I buy it, but would love it just to see Rockets fans shit their pants :lol. They’ve been talking you up amen all over Twitter and clutch fans since the Lottery.

Yeah, I was thinking exactly that. Last year, until that very last day, Woj was claiming Orlando was focusing on Jabari Smith Jr and he even kept that discourse until almost the draft started. Yet that last day, odds at Vegas had a sudden shift favoring Banchero, which eventually landed no. 1. This is probably more of the same, Woj seems to be the vehicle for team propaganda trying to dupe someone into trading up while still getting their guy, and when it becomes clear it won't happen the domino pieces fall into place.

I have Miller at 4 to Houston and Amen at 3, whoever picks there. Think Portland will either trade Lillard or the pick.

The Rox drafted Brandon Miller's prototype last year, so either need to scramble to trade the pick out or let Miller tumble more. I can probably see Detroit taking him.

I'm definitely cool with that, but I think timvp is probably right and the Spurs end up using #44 on some guy willing to sign a 2-way, which I don't think Strawther would be.

NBA's 'betting partners' would also cash in on ambiguity and false reports, as opposed to everyone having Scoot at 2 all year long.

That's the smart play but it won't matter. Portland is going to get lucky and land Scoot as they have an incompetent front office drafting ahead of them.

I don't think Woj is malicious. Instead he was just ignorant (not meant as an offense), in that the Magic just plain didn't tell him what they were actually planning on doing.

Depending where the SRPs are, it's been between $2-4M the last couple of drafts.
