Answering my own question, looks like Ausar's debut was pretty pedestrian as well
He had 7 points on 1/4 from the field but 5/6 FT , but also 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks in 27 minutes... not a bad stat line.
To answer your question, he's probably had the worst debut relative to expectations, but I'd say the good he showed is already elite, I'd say Brandon Miller has been the most underwhelming though his team is atrocious. Not a top pick, but his teammate Nick Smith has been horrendous.

My feels is Chet has a lower ceiling than Wemby but will be a great defensive anchor for a team that has been running almost pure guard lineups with a PF like Jeremiah Robinson-Earle. Everything they have depends on Shai. They're merely passable otherwise -- they have to thank God for Jerry West and Kawhi for him.

Agreed. Victor is more physically gifted and his talent is off the charts, but Chet is more crafty and polished as a shooter, which you'd expect as he's almost 2 years older. That coupled with the fact that he's almost 2 years older and that he's playing on a team that's further along, makes him a good ROY candidate provided he can stay healthy. Scoot should be in the conversation too, he's going to pad stats like crazy in Portland.

I liked him I looked at his high school tape and showed that he was capable of doing more. I think certain teams who are legit filled with talent unless you a Wemby, or Lebron, your probably going to be told your going to play a certain role so. His role was rebound play tough defense and take a few shots in the flow of the game
