I was think the same thing how bad did they want this win? lol. And the fact that we still are coming up with the dub in a close game late. (No idea how we're doing it either bc this unit can't score.)

Kinda lost any concern over Wemby's ability to translate offensively this preseason. He's just a natural scorer. I feel like the ball is going to go in every time it's in his hands. Looks like a better shooter than advertised.

Definitely a let down from SL, but hopefully he works through it. Wesley ask had a poor showing this preseason. Makes it hard to see a path for either with 5 possibly 6 FRPs coming in over the next two years.

God how much would it have sucked if the Spurs drafted second and we were having to pretend to be happy the team got Amen or Scoot instead? I haven't been so excited watching a rookie since LeBron. OK, Manu, but Manu was basically a vet by the time he got here.

Yeah, the overall consensus was: "I'd be happy with either one of Scoot or Wemby".

Now the difference is huge.

That's a hard road. Looks like Pop made his mind about the rotation and we all know how he can stick to a vet like Doug. Now if Doug is traded at the deadline, that may open a path to Champy if he showed improvement.

That was how I felt in October 2022 after seeing Wemby and Scoot those two games. After seeing Victor's season and playoffs vs Scoot's half a season though way different. I was going to be devastated watching that draft lottery with anything but the #1 pick. :lol

It's a long season and Julian is still a young player. If he gets past his shooting problems I think we'll see him out there.

It seems that Osman is already ahead of Mc Dermott in the rotation, and that’s not good for Champagnie.

Same with his jumper. He shoots so many shots without squaring his feet up correctly and yet it's still a great option for him. Unbelievable how good he is already while still being pretty raw and with a lot to learn on both sides of the floor. And not like he's just putting up stats from high usage; the team has been way better with him on the floor.

lol it wasn’t that bad. Scoot and Amen and probably Ausar too will be stars. Not Wemby level but very good maybe even All-NBA.

Don't believe the hype. Those 3 are all older than Sochan, and much further from stardom. None of the 3 seem to really know how to play high level basketball, just use their athletic ability on the court.

Maybe. At least Ausar can shoot. The Thompson twins fell in and out of the top ten in the mocks. I don't know what to make of Scoot. Glad we didn't have to pick any of them.
