I remember when we drafted Blake Wesley, after 1 summer league game he was said to be "a top 5 talent" from the class. Likewise, last year Brandon Miller was a bust after a rough summer league. I like what we saw from Castle, he thinks like a PG and his shot doesn't look broken like Cissoko's or Sochan's, but yeah, way too soon to tell.

Yeah I feel the same way I honestly think the tried to get rid of both second round picks but no one would bite on the latter hence picking Ingram. At this Point with having Wemby I don’t see using our second rounds at all unless something falls in there lap that they really really like. Why do you think he would want LA if he were to leave? He’s not American, and didn’t grow up with the Hollywood mythos. At this point, the Buss family has nearly transformed the Lakers into a poverty franchise. If LeBron hadn’t wanted movies and an entertainment career next, they’d be in their second decade of irrelevance.

If he were to ever leave, I would expect it to be for a more cosmopolitan city like NY or Toronto. The last place I would expect him to go would be a sprawl city like LA or HOU.

Yeah, I was really interested in the "3&D" potential of Risacher for the team, but I think I had Castle second? In any case, Castle showing up to be better than the #1 pick would be fantastic.

SL is weird. I remember Tony Parker looking so good after like two games in the 01 summer league that Seattle tried to trade Gary Payton to the Spurs for him. Then Stephen Jackson had a huge summer league in 02 and it carried right over into the season and he had taken Steve Smith's starting role within about 15-20 games. Though Duncan had a terrible summer league in 98 and got wrecked by Greg Ostertag in his first game there.

Castle looked good. Unfortunately the "best of" only show passes that resulted in a make, aka an assist. He makes good passes that people just don't convert, those aren't shown. Same with shots. A good looking release, great rotation but just misses off the rim isn't shown. You have to watch the game to see these.

Same. That bounce-back performance after what was inarguably a disastrous SL debut was special. Would've been easy for the kid to let it get to his head. Instead he came out and put on a show, dropping an efficient 27/12/3 in 27 minutes. PATFO had seen enough and shut him down after that. Good times tbh.
