If the USA had any evidence the survivors were terrorist or drug traffickers, it wouldn't repatriate them
Hegseth continues to break the law
The Trump administration has decided to repatriate two survivors of a deadly U.S. strike this week on suspected drug runners in the Caribbean Sea rather than prosecute them or hold them in military detention, people with knowledge of the matter said on Saturday.
The men who survived were being returned to their home countries, Colombia and Ecuador, the people with knowledge of the matter said. They spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss operational and diplomatic matters. It was not clear if the government of either nation would prosecute the men upon their return, or simply release them.
President Trump has previously described people aboard suspected drug-smuggling boats, which the United States has targeted in several deadly airstrikes since early September, as “unlawful combatants.” He has claimed the authority, widely disputed by legal experts, to summarily kill such suspects in military strikes as if they were enemy soldiers in a war.
It was a sharp break from the traditional handling of maritime smuggling, in which the Coast Guard would intercept boats and arrest people if suspicions proved accuratehttps://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/us/politics/boat-strike-survivors.html

Hegseth accidentally shelled the I-5 yesterday, shrapnel fell on JD Vance's security detail
No officers were hurt in the mishap, which dropped shrapnel onto the vehicles parked on a ramp to a major freeway that had been ordered closed by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The governor had objected to the plan to fire over the freeway, Interstate 5, and ordered a 17-mile stretch closed — against the guidance of military officials, who had said it was safe for it to remain open.

Washington Times
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/pete-hegseth/) has lost the trust and respect of some top military commanders, with his public “grandstanding” widely seen as unprofessional and the personnel moves made by the former cable TV host leading to an unprecedented and dangerous exodus of talent from the Pentagon (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/pentagon/), said current senior military officers and current and former Defense Department (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/department-of-defense/) officials.
Numerous high-ranking officers painted Mr. Hegseth’s (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/pete-hegseth/) Sept. 30 speech to hundreds of generals and admirals gathered at Marine Corps (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/united-states-marine-corps/) Base Quantico in Virginia as a turning point in how his leadership style, attitude and overall competency are viewed in the upper echelons of the U.S. armed forces.
“It was a massive waste of time. … If he ever had us, he lost us,” one current Army general told The Washington Times.
The Quantico speech — described by other sources as “embarrassing” and theatrical to a degree that “is below our institution” — seemed to crystallize beliefs about Mr. Hegseth (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/pete-hegseth/) that had taken root among some senior officers, including the view that the secretary operates with a junior officer’s mentality that has led him to micromanage policies about issues such as military facial hair standards and press access to the Pentagon (https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/pentagon/), sometimes at the expense of the much broader portfolio of a typical defense secretary.
“Mainly what I see from him are not serious things,” a current senior officer said. “It’s, ’Why did this service member tweet this?’ Or internal politics and drama. That’s mostly what I see.”https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2025/oct/20/lost-us-generals-senior-officers-say-trust-hegseth-evaporated/

Claiming the right to kill people anywhere on the basis of secret determinations and mere allegations of drug-trafficking and terrorism, is concerning
Prosecutors in Ecuador have decided not to charge a man who survived a U.S. military attack in the Caribbean Sea last week and have already released him, according to an Ecuadorean official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.
The outcome came despite the Trump administration’s stance that people suspected of smuggling drugs from South America are “terrorists” who pose such a severe danger to the United States that it is lawful for the American military to summarily kill them as if they were soldiers in a war. In announcing that he was repatriating the man, Mr. Trump declared (https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115396632441470075) on Saturday that he would face “detention and prosecution.”
The man was one of two survivors of a U.S. military strike on a semi-submersible vessel on Thursday. The strike killed two people, Mr. Trump later said, but the Navy rescued two other men from the sea afterward and detained them aboard a warship (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/17/us/politics/us-military-strike-survivors.html) while deciding what to do with them.

President Donald Trump is considering plans to target cocaine facilities and drug trafficking routes inside Venezuela, though he has not yet made a decision on whether to move forward with them, three US officials told CNN.
The president has also not ruled out taking a diplomatic approach with Venezuela to stem the flow of drugs into the US, two officials said, even after the administration cut off active talks with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in recent weeks. Venezuela is not known to be a major source of cocaine, but the Trump administration has been aggressively trying to link Maduro to the drug trade.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth won’t meet with any “beardos” serving in South Korea.
Service members stationed in the Pacific recently received notice that enlistees with shaving waivers will not be allowed to attend Hegseth’s upcoming Camp Humphreys rally, according to military site Task & Purpose.

You're so concerned with beards, making this out to be a race or cultural fight to be had. Everyone that signs up for the military are nothing more than gov't property at the end of the day. If they didn't like rules then they shouldn't had signed up for the job.
Why not cry over actual pressing issues instead of feigning over every damn miniscule thing that isn't pressing in the least?

Open borders is a myth, immigration enforcement was very robust under Biden
Our broken immigration system wasn't ready for the post COVID surge and wouldn't have been no matter who was in charge -- the vibrant US economy (while everyone else in the world was recovering much more slowly) was mostly to blame
That said, the immigrant surge wasn't more dangerous to Americans than other Americans and almost surely contributed to our robust post-COVID recovery -- immigration makes the US safer and richer, on the whole
In passing, the idea that some people have more moral worth than others based on country of origin is bigotry and is per se immoral

Criticism of the US bombing campaign has also come from Republicans, most prominently from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). “No one said their name, no one said what evidence, no one said whether they’re armed, and we’ve had no evidence presented,” Paul said this week (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/oct/27/rand-paul-trump-military-airstrikes-venezuela) of the people who have been targeted. “They summarily execute people without presenting evidence to the public … so it’s wrong.”

on deck: acquisition reform
Todd Harrison, a budget and acquisition expert with American Enterprise Institute, said that the memo showcases a clear sea change from the last wave of defense acquisition reform, where defense officials primarily focused on lowering cost.
“What it does not acknowledge is that there’s always an inherent trade off between cost, schedule and performance,” he said. “He’s [Hegseth is] saying, of those three, I want to prioritize speed. What he’s not saying is, ‘I’m willing to accept higher costs and lower performance.’ But that is the reality, that when you prioritize one, you’re making sacrifices in one or both of the others.”

It’s not clear whether the senators’ ire for the Pentagon’s policy shop will upend Dahmer’s chances at confirmation. A spokesman for Wicker did not respond to a query from Defense One about whether the senator intended to vote in the affirmative.
“Mr. Dahmer, you're clearly avoiding answers to questions that you should have been acutely aware of in your position,” Reed said. “That does not bode very well for your future role in the Department of Defense, since it's essential that this committee has accurate and specific knowledge, and I think you've essentially indicated to us that you won't cooperate with us.”

Daniel Larison with a no bullshit take
These boat bombings are straight up murder
The Trump administration murdered (https://www.reuters.com/world/us-strikes-alleged-drug-carrying-vessels-eastern-pacific-killing-six-2025-11-10/) six more civilians in the Pacific:
The United States struck two alleged drug-carrying vessels in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Sunday, killing six people on board, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Monday, as calls mounted for investigations into the strikes.
The U.S. military has murdered more than 70 people in the Caribbean and the Pacific over the last two months. The president and the Secretary of Defense have given illegal orders to kill civilians on these boats at least 18 times and every time the orders have been carried out. The president wants to use the military as his own assassins, and it appears that no one is willing to refuse that assignment.
The government has a secret list (https://theintercept.com/2025/11/07/trump-dto-list-venezuela-boat-strikes/) of 24 organizations that it considers “designated terrorist organizations.” At least one of the groups, the so-called Cartel de los Soles, doesn’t really exist (https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20250828-us-targets-venezuela-over-soles-cartel-does-it-exist). Others have little to do with the drug trade. The rest are drug cartels that have nothing to do with terrorism. One thing they all have in common is that they aren’t engaged in an armed conflict with the United States. The “conflict” is completely made-up because no one is attacking or threatening to attack the U.S. or American forces in the region. The administration’s justification for the murder spree is a lie built on top of a lie built on top of another lie.
The Intercept spoke (https://theintercept.com/2025/11/07/trump-dto-list-venezuela-boat-strikes/) to Brian Finucane about the administration’s secret list, and he said this:
“The administration has established a factual and legal alternate universe for the executive branch,” said Brian Finucane, a former State Department lawyer who is a specialist in counterterrorism issues and the laws of war. “This is the president, purely by fiat, saying that the U.S. is in conflict with these undisclosed groups without any congressional authorization. So this is not just a secret war, but a secret unauthorized war. Or, in reality, a make-believe war, because most of these groups we probably couldn’t even be in a war with.”
The administration’s own briefings have confirmed that they don’t know who the people on the boats are, and they aren’t interested in finding out. Thanks to news reporting, we are slowly getting a better picture of who the president’s murder victims are. The Associated Press investigated (https://apnews.com/article/trump-venezuela-boat-strikes-drugs-cocaine-trafficking-95b54a3a5efec74f12f82396a79617ea) earlier U.S. boat attacks and mostly found poor men trying to make a living:
One was a fisherman struggling to eke out a living on $100 a month. Another was a career criminal. A third was a former military cadet. And a fourth was a down-on-his-luck bus driver.
The men had little in common beyond their Venezuelan seaside hometowns and the fact all four were among the more than 60 people killed since early September when the U.S. military began attacking boats that the Trump administration alleges were smuggling drugs.
Many of these men may have been criminals, but they were at most small-time smugglers looking for ways to make a little more money for their families. They had done nothing that could possibly justify killing them, and they were no threat to the military that blew them up. To call these men “narco-terrorists” is a lie, and to murder them because of that lie is utterly despicable.
The president cannot lawfully do any of the things he has been doing with these strikes. These boats aren’t lawful targets. The men on the boats aren’t combatants. There is no conflict and no threat of armed attack. Even if there were a conflict going on, these strikes would still be war crimes. There is absolutely no legal or moral justification for these attacks. The military’s own lawyers must know this, but they have been cowed into silence by war crimes enthusiast Pete Hegseth.
This is one of the men (https://apnews.com/article/trump-venezuela-boat-strikes-drugs-cocaine-trafficking-95b54a3a5efec74f12f82396a79617ea) that was murdered on the president’s orders:
A native of Güiria, a village on the southeast side of the peninsula, Robert Sánchez dropped out of school as a teenager and like many others in the region became a fisherman like his father, according to friends and relatives. The 42-year-old was considered among the peninsula’s best pilots, they said, having spent the better part of three decades mastering the area’s currents and winds, so much so he could navigate the waters at night without instruments.
As part of hired crews, the father of four spent his days fishing for snapper, kingfish and dogfish. The fisherman wanted to save enough money to buy a 75-horsepower boat engine so he could operate his own boat and not work for others. It was a dream Sánchez knew he was likely to never realize, relatives said: Most of his income — about $100 a month — went to feed his children.
Was Robert Sánchez a threat to the United States or to any other country? To ask the question is to understand how insane and vicious our government’s policy is. Of course he wasn’t a threat. He was a poor man hired to pilot a boat, and for that “offense” our military blew him up. Murdering him will have no effect on the drug trade, but it has stolen this father from his children and left them in an even worse condition than they were before.
Every time the military blows up another boat, it is executing more poor men without trial or even the slightest pretense of due process for a crime that doesn’t carry the death penalty. These men are not enemies of our country, and our government has no right to take their lives. It is crucial that we learn the names of the victims and demand that the murder spree stops. The administration is slaughtering these men in our name, and if we fail to stop them we will be letting them get away with mass murder.

division in Five Eyes, is that a good thing?
The United Kingdom is no longer sharing intelligence with the US about suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean because it does not want to be complicit in US military strikes and believes the attacks are illegal, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
The UK’s decision marks a significant break from its closest ally and intelligence sharing partner and underscores the growing skepticism over the legality of the US military’s campaign around Latin America.
For years, the UK, which controls a number of territories in the Caribbean where it bases intelligence assets, has helped the US locate vessels suspected of carrying drugs so that the US Coast Guard could interdict them, the sources said. That meant the ships would be stopped, boarded, its crew detained, and drugs seized.
The intelligence was typically sent to Joint Interagency Task Force South, a task force stationed in Florida that includes representatives from a number of partner nations and works to reduce the illicit drug trade.
But shortly after the US began launching lethal strikes against the boats in September, however, the UK grew concerned that the US might use intelligence provided by the British to select targets. British officials believe the US military strikes, which have killed 76 people, violate international law, the sources said. The intelligence pause began over a month ago, they said.

Congress requires the Pentagon to support the scouting program's Jamboree, a gathering of thousands of young scouts held every three or four years. The U.S. military lends trucks, ambulances and medical teams, and puts on aviation and skydiving demonstrations, all at no cost to the Scouts. For the military, it's both a training exercise and an opportunity to recruit highly motivated, civic-minded kids.
But the law includes an exemption: the Secretary of Defense can withhold support if he determines providing it would be "detrimental to national security."
Drafts of a report to Congress obtained by NPR show Hegseth invoking that clause — accusing Scouting America of fostering "gender confusion."
His memo to the House and Senate Armed Services committees argues the Scouts have strayed from their mission to "cultivate masculine values." It also claims that with international conflicts and a tight budget, sending troops, doctors and vehicles to a 10-day youth event would harm national security by diverting resources from border operations and protecting U.S. territory.

CNN reports the Pentagon is now looking at reducing the military rank and pension pay of Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz) over a video he participated in that urged troops to disregard illegal orders.
“It certainly is a downshift from yesterday when they were saying a court martial was in order,” said CNN Chief National Affairs Correspondent Jeff Zeleny.
“They are losing in the independent judiciary, but inside the administration is a place where administration officials win because they control the rules,” Zeleny explained, adding the martial justice system is a “more favorable venue” for the commander-in-chief.
“It also shows that this White House is going to use institutions and agencies that have historically had independence and turn them into a means to punish political foes of the president,” noted CNN Political analyst Zolan Kanno-Youngs.

I hope we keep KILLING all narcoterrorists! All of them dead should be the end goal.
The United States specifically charged [Honduran ex-president Juan Orlando] Hernández with accepting millions of dollars in bribes from narcotraffickers since 2004, and in particular the Sinaloa Cartel, led at the time by Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, since 2012. The indictment states that Tony Hernández collected the bribes using men armed with machine guns; in exchange, Juan Orlando Hernández conspired to protect smugglers from investigation and arrest, specifically providing "access to law enforcement and military information, including data from flight radar in Honduras."
Hernández's trial began on 21 February 2024 in New York City and concluded on 8 March, when he was found guilty of drug trafficking. On 26 June, he was sentenced to 45 years in prison.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE LAW OF WAR MANUAL
18.3.2.1 Clearly Illegal Orders to Commit Law of War Violations. The
requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to
perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows, in fact, are illegal.
For example, orders to fire upon the shipwrecked would be clearly illegal.[27] Similarly, orders to
kill defenseless persons who have submitted to and are under effective physical control would
also be clearly illegal.28 On the other hand, the duty not to comply with orders that are clearly
illegal would be limited in its application when the subordinate is not competent to evaluate
whether the rule has been violated.29
Subordinates are not required to screen the orders of superiors for questionable points of
legality, and may, absent specific knowledge to the contrary, presume that orders have been
lawfully issued
[27] Judgement in Case of Lieutenants Dithmar and Boldt, Hospital Ship “Llandovery Castle” (Second Criminal
Senate of the Imperial Court of Justice, Germany, Jul. 16, 1921), reprinted in 16 AJIL, 708, 721-22 (1922) (“It is
certainly to be urged in favor of the military subordinates, that they are under no obligation to question the order of
their superior officer, and they can count upon its legality. But no such confidence can be held to exist, if such an
order is universally known to everybody, including also the accused, to be without any doubt whatever against the
law. This happens only in rare and exceptional cases. But this case was precisely one of them, for in the present
instance, it was perfectly clear to the accused that killing defenceless people in the life-boats could be nothing else
but a breach of the law. As naval officers by profession they were well aware, as the naval expert Saalwiachter has
strikingly stated, that one is not legally authorized to kill defenceless people. They well knew that this was the case
here. They quickly found out the facts by questioning the occupants in the boats when these were stopped. They
could only have gathered, from the order given by Patzig, that he wished to make use of his subordinates to carry out
a breach of the law. They should, therefore, have refused to obey.”).

Strange how your constant updates stopped once the NYT piece broke.
Long explainer:
Let’s examine the emerging “scapegoat” narrative, because it demonstrates the true objective of the Democrat/Regime Media/Fredocon axis - to hurt Trump politically and to stop the changing of the Pentagon from a leftist-supporting social pathology Petri dish back into a patriotic war-fighting force that can effectively prevent the eventual color revolution they are working toward.
At the threshold, let’s understand that there was nothing illegal here. Even under the facts as alleged, which change as they keep shifting the goalposts, there was no violation of the law of war. There was no violation of any Geneva Convention, not least because no Geneva Convention applies here. So, everything I say here is simply taking their story du jour and testing it to see if it makes internal sense. It does not, because it’s all baloney. They don’t care. It’s the lie that’s important.
So, just last week, we had a bunch of Democrats claiming they were just helpfully explaining to our troops that our troops cannot follow illegal orders. The whole basis is that you were going to be issued an illegal order by some Trump higher-up, and that you should disobey it because it’s illegal. This was part of a narrative to tee-up the current fake scandal.
Then, after a Democrat-imported jihadi scumbag murdered a soldier and wounded another, they had to accelerate their narrative and get that embarrassing fact off the front page. So, last Friday, the Washington Post dropped a story by a reporter who has lied about Russiagate, the Hunter Biden laptop, and other anti-Trump hoaxes. This story allegedly has two anonymous sources offering double hearsay that Pete Hegseth gave an order to kill all the narco terrorists in a strike. The operation commander, a SEAL admiral, then gave the order for a first and a second attack on the ship. That was the meat of the story – Pete was personally responsible for ordering the deaths of allegedly helpless narco terrorists.
The Pentagon immediately denied that the story, as a whole, was true. Remember, the gist of the story is that Pete personally ordered the deaths of these drug mules. The regime media and Democrats either claimed that the Pentagon was not denying the story or simply rejected the denials.
The Twitter experts – the ones who suddenly became epidemiologists when Covid hit and economists when Trump imposed tariffs – suddenly became experts in the law of armed conflict. They pointed out that you’re not allowed to kill a shipwrecked enemy. But they didn’t point out that you are allowed to re-attack a vessel that hasn’t sunk yet. There’s no one-shot rule. Between a combination of ignorance and deliberate deception, they’ve tried to erase that.
Well, then the New York Times published an article saying that Pete Hegseth did not personally order the second attack. That attack order came from the operation commander. The original article alleged that Hegseth ordered them all to be killed regardless of their status. Karoline Leavitt at the White House told the press substantially the same thing as the NYT
Well, that revelation was inconvenient to the narrative. Remember, the narrative isn’t about killing drug dealers. It’s about Pete Hegseth personally ordering the killing of them in a way that’s illegal. Now, the facts indicate that Pete Hegseth didn’t do this. He didn’t give the order to kill them. The admiral gave the order to attack the vessel a second time because it was not completely destroyed.
But that doesn’t help their narrative. It needs to be Pete Hegseth. They don’t want some admiral – that doesn’t meet their objective, and normal people are going to look at it and side with the admiral. So, what to do? Well, accuse Pete Hegseth of throwing the Admiral under the bus. Of course, what that would mean is that he is shifting his responsibility onto the admiral. But wait – the NYT says that Pete didn’t have any responsibility to begin with. Further, the Democrats just got through telling us that we shouldn’t obey illegal orders. If anyone should, an admiral should certainly know what an illegal order is.
But let me emphasize, the admiral did nothing wrong. Again, I’m simply charting the internal inconsistencies of this bogus hit on Pete Hegseth.
Now, they are also going with another argument. That is that the entire mission is illegal. They have decided, without support, that it is unlawful for us to destroy enemies who are not part of a nation-state's army from bringing poison into the United States. Now, if they were bringing mustard gas, instead of fentanyl and cocaine, presumably it would be OK to kill them – or maybe not under their logic.
But there’s no free pass. That’s because it’s not the law. They are unlawful combatants, and we can kill them on the high seas. This is why there are no pirates or slavers in the Atlantic. We killed them pursuant to the law. The law has not changed; apparently, we’re only allowed to avail ourselves of the parts of the law that they misinterpret to limit our capacity to defend ourselves, rather than the parts that enable us to defend ourselves from people who kill nearly 100,000 Americans a year
So, that’s where we are. Under the facts as alleged, Pete Hegseth didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t give this kill order. As a result, the haters have had to shift their arguments. The problem is that their previous arguments about illegal orders have trapped them. If they argue that the entire operation is unlawful, or even that the second strike is unlawful, it would mean that the admiral and the dozens, maybe hundreds, of military people involved are all committing more crimes by giving or following a legal order.
That’s not what they want. They don’t want the admiral or any of the soldiers. They want Pete Hegseth, and now they can’t have him. So, they’re going to throw the whole illegal orders thing out the window and try to change the subject to accusing Hegseth of shifting the blame that he doesn’t bear to the admiral, who, under their theory, does bear it.
Yes, it’s totally inconsistent. No, it doesn’t make any sense. But that’s not its purpose. It has nothing to do with what the facts or evidence, or law say or require. It’s a political hit job designed to get rid of Pete Hegseth and replacing with somebody pliable – many of us know who they prefer - and hurt Trump. Don’t buy into it.

rando Venezuelan and Trini fishermen, drug-runners and gasoline smugglers, are not in any conventional sense combatants, nor are they at war with the US in any usual sense of the word
the pretext that the US is actually at war with them would be ridiculous if it weren't so deadly
narcoterrorist is a neologism, we already have laws about narcotics smuggling and terrorism. I guess Trump had to make up a new superlegal (https://lawexplores.com/models-of-extra-legality-and-illegality-carl-schmitts-lengthening-shadow/) designation to do more superlegal stuff.

the kernel of superlegality is that there are moral concerns -- e.g., crime, corruption, communism, immigration, race-pollution, liberal decadence, terrorism and so forth -- so urgent and overpowering that the law and public decency must yield to the prerogative of the sovereign to create the state of exception to constitutional order and the law to save the country.

If this board wasn't so dead and there were more than five people here to embarrass you in front of I'd take the time to insert every bluesky screen shot and link you posted into the below to show how you fell for this every single step of the way.

Lord Kitchener (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0144058/?ref_=ttqu_qu): I think you know what to say.

how is making a video reminding US officers of their sworn duty to refuse illegal orders a conspiracy to use force against the government?
The Civil War-era seditious conspiracy law requires prosecutors to prove a defendant conspired to use force to oppose US government authority or to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any US law. The crime carries a maximum prison term of 20 years.
“It’s not something that is casually investigated or charged, especially without evidence that a case involves something more than protected speech,” said Alexis Loeb, who was deputy chief of the Capitol siege section at the Washington US attorney’s office that used the statute to secure convictions of Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio and Oath Keepers head Stewart Rhodes. Both men were among those to receive clemency from Trump on his first day in office this year.
“It can cheapen the charge if it becomes thought of as just another tactic to use against one’s political opponents or to deter criticism,” Loeb added.
The FBI typically won’t run investigations out of headquarters, relying on field offices to do so. The prior head of the Washington office, Steven Jensen, was fired (https://news.bgov.com/bloomberg-government-news/fbi-ousting-two-officials-ensnared-in-jan-6-riot-probe-fallout) in August, which he and two other former FBI officials alleged in a lawsuit (https://www.bloomberglaw.com/public/document/DRISCOLLJRetalvPATELetalDocketNo125cv03109DDCSep10 2025CourtDocket?doc_id=X7BRLDKJB378338NSVDUPUKHEOI ) was in retaliation for their insufficient loyalty to Trump. The outcome of this request from headquarters will serve as a key test in how Jensen’s replacement, Darren Cox, withstands pressure to satisfy Trump’s commands.
During an interview that aired on X Nov. 24 (https://x.com/C__Herridge/status/1993159385187598588?t=381), Patel said any investigation into the Democrats will be up to career agents and analysts.
“Is there a lawful predicate to open up an inquiry and investigation or is there not? And that decision will be made by the career agents and analysts here at the FBI,” Patel said.
