I never called her a traitor. So, not ducking. MTG is an adult, I'm sure she'll survive.
Trump said some pretty ugly things about his fantastic Secretary of State. Maybe you should pay less attention to what he says and more to what he does.
:lol you just told us all that we need to pay attention to him saying "I support releasing the files" while he hasn't done jack shit about them.
You tards will shield him at all costs, huh

1997 recollected by a contemporary reporter
During the flight to Palm Beach, I sat in the front of the plane, where Eric, at his father’s behest, fast-forwarded through “Bloodsport,” the Jean-Claude Van Damme martial-arts free-for-all, to eliminate all plot exposition. I no longer recall the specifics of Trump’s monologue along the way or my efforts to keep it coming. As we were about to land, Maxwell made a call on her cellphone—still a relatively rare consumer commodity in those days—and Trump joined in on the conversation by shouting from the front of the plane. They were speaking with a mutual friend named Jeffrey—no surname—in a tone that came across as knowing and intimate in an inside-jokey way, but opaque. Repeatedly, Trump addressed Jeffrey by name, and Maxwell, the interlocutor, whose default mode struck me as preprogrammed conviviality, seemed amused by all of it. She and Trump plainly shared something, but it was strictly between them and Jeffrey. By then, I’d spent enough time observing and reporting about Trump to conclude that he had no true friends, the sine qua non for a lasting, loving relationship being the ability to subordinate one’s needs to another’s. I once asked Trump whether he considered himself ideal company and got back, “You really want to know what I consider ideal company? A total piece of ass.”
Why did “Jeffrey” take root in my memory long after other details of the weekend had faded? Even if I’d heard the name “Epstein,” it would’ve meant nothing to me. It was because I’d had a glimpse into something that seemed suggestive and worth knowing but minus any elucidating context that it lodged in my brain, subliminal but retrievable. It would be more than twenty years before I had an inkling of what that something was.

I'm going to try and get this thread back on topic...
If convincing evidence is produced that shows Donald Trump engaged in illegal acts with minors, I hope he burns in hell with the rest of Epstein's criminal cohorts. But, I don't believe the facts will bear that out.
Since the Senate passed H.R. 4055 (The Epstein Files Transparency Act) by unanimous consent, I keep wondering why Trump has yet to sign it. I waited for it to be signed yesterday and then, again, today. But, then it occurred to me, there's an even bigger question; Why nobody — especially Democrats — is making a fuss about the delay. I mean, these are the same Democrats who’ve been pounding the table for these files ever since they lost the government-shutdown fight. You’d expect them to be screaming:
“Why hasn’t he signed it yet? What’s he hiding?”
But instead… total silence. Then, when you look at the facts that have come out so far, the silence starts making perfect sense:
Everything we’ve learned so far actually exonerates Trump and puts him in a good light. He cut ties with Epstein years before Epstein’s crimes were public — allegedly because Epstein was recruiting girls from Mar-a-Lago. Epstein was arrested during Trump’s first term — not under Clinton, not under Bush, and not under Obama.
Democrats, not so much. Epstein was coordinating with Democrats to target Trump. He was texting with a Democratic staffer during a congressional hearing to steer questioning against a Trump official — long after Epstein was already a convicted sex offender. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries solicited donations from Epstein after his conviction and even offered personal access. That’s not ancient history — that’s the current leadership of the Democratic Party.
Larry Summers and several other high-profile Democrats show up in the early disclosures too. The pattern isn’t accidental.
And here’s the kicker — the point nobody seems to want to talk about, even though I've brought it up several times: All the Epstein files people are demanding now were in the hands of a Democratic administration for four years. Four years. They didn’t release them.
So why would Democrats now accuse Trump of “hiding something” when they sat on the same material for an entire presidential term?
You can see the trap they've set for themselves:
If they attack Trump for not signing immediately, the obvious response is: “If these files were so important, why didn’t you release them when you had them?”
So they stay quiet. They wait. They hope the disclosures don’t get worse for their side.
Meanwhile, Trump holds all the leverage — because the silence from the people demanding the release is louder than the delay itself. I think it behooves Trump to just let the Bill become law without his signature or, sign it on the last day of eligibility. The close he can get this scandal to the mid-terms, the better.

Trump is still calling the story “the Epstein hoax.” But this hoax is really of his own making. The MAGA base was trained to believe that these things were happening, that there was a hidden evil was bubbling under the surface of contemporary American life. The subtext was that the rich are not like you and I because they abuse children and that despite all they had, they were still horribly deficient when it came to morals and ethics and all the things that make us human.
Trump’s 2016 populism was based on him saying numerous times “the system is rigged,” and he was of course correct. The wealthy can make money on their money and largely avoid paying taxes as their businesses grow. Most of the billionaire class, like Trump, were born to fairly wealthy parents who helped them amass mega-wealth. Trump promised he would unrig the system, and bringing down the elite cabal was part of this populist message.
Now where Trump always got into trouble was that he was in fact part of the elite he railed against. Sure, he grew up in Queens, and his mother had a thick accent, and they weren’t cultured people. But Trump was no outsider. The now-dead pedophile Jeffery Epstein wrote to former Treasury Secretary (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/13/jeffrey-epstein-emails-trump)Larry Summers about Trump (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/13/jeffrey-epstein-emails-trump): “Trump – borderline insane. Dersh, a few feet further from the border but not by much.” It’s pretty clear that Larry Summers, Jeffery Epstein and Donald Trump all occupied the same world, the same upper tier of society that Qanon told its followers Trump was trying to bring down.
Of course the nuance of Trump is that while he might have had the money, real elites still (and always will) scorn him. Summers writes to Epstein of Trump (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-11-13/larry-summers-goldman-lawyer-slammed-trump-in-epstein-emails) “Of gross ignorance surely. Of being utterly without the intellect temperament for job surely. Of being over line on family profiting very likely. Of gross disregard for appearances almost surely.” There are other emails musing about Trump’s stupidity, because the courseness that made the base think he was like them is the thing that makes elites know he is not like us.
There are emails that are much more damning. Epstein wrote in an (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-says-jeffrey-epstein-stole-virginia-giuffre-worked-mar-lago-spa-rcna221810)email to Michael Wolff (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-says-jeffrey-epstein-stole-virginia-giuffre-worked-mar-lago-spa-rcna221810), “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.” And Epstein wrote that he might be “the one able to take him down (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/12/us/epstein-emails-trump.html).” It is unclear how far Epstein’s actual power over Trump extended and how much of what Epstein wrote is just bragging, just trying to spin a narrative into something more. Clearly, Epstein was desperate to have everyone continue to believe that he had power over Trump and perhaps he did? Epstein’s whole career had been built on persuading powerful people that other powerful people trusted him and relied on him.
The story of pizzagate and later qanon required believers to make certain jumps in belief, to think that a pizza recipe was really about abusing children, to make connections that were never there, never real. These myths created a narrative structure, created a story that explained an all too unfair universe, the problem is, the universe is unfair, just not in a way that is convenient to the president, or the republican party.

Trump is killing himself on this issue
A new poll (https://www.marquette.edu/news-center/2025/new-marquette-law-national-survey-finds-more-people-favoring-democrats-in-anticipated-2026-vote-for-congress.php) shows that three out of four Americans oppose the way Donald Trump’s administration handled documents related to Jeffrey Epstein as legislation to declassify it sits on the president’s desk (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/senate-vote-epstein-files-trump-b2867779.html).
The Marquette University Law School surveyed 1,052 people nationwide between Nov. 5 and Nov. 12.
The poll found that Trump’s handling of documents related to the pedophile financier (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-epstein-files-live-updates-b2867921.html) was his third-worst polling issue, ahead of only the government shutdown and his administration’s providing between $20 to $40 billion to shore up Argentina (https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/javier-milei-argentina-economy-rock-concert-trump-bailout-video-b2841835.html).
Only 26 percent of Americans approve of the way Trump has handled the affair, while 74 percent disapprove. A majority of Republicans also disapprove of the way Trump has handled the issue of releasing the Epstein documents, with 57 percent of Republicans disapproving of the way Trump has managed it.
The poll also shows both women and men overwhelmingly disapprove of how Trump has handled the Epstein matter — 73 percent of men disapprove and 74 percent of women. Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 overwhelmingly did not approve, with 84 percent of young people registering their displeasure with his handling of the matter.

Scott Bessent should stop protecting pedos and elite bankers
Ron Wyden started making noise about this last year, it's not something new
The top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee issued a report (https://www.finance.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/memorandum_to_senator_wyden_on_jpmc-epstein_redactedpdf.pdf) on Thursday calling for an investigation into whether JPMorgan Chase deliberately underreported more than $1 billion in suspicious transactions by Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender.
The report from the senator, Ron Wyden of Oregon, said the compliance failures by the nation’s largest bank during its nearly 15-year relationship with Mr. Epstein were “alarming” and impeded law enforcement’s ability to examine the “financial infrastructure that enabled Epstein’s cross-border sex trafficking organization.”
The report, based on recently unsealed court records (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/30/business/jpmorgan-jeffrey-epstein.html) that shed more light on JPMorgan’s financial dealings with Mr. Epstein, focuses on suspicious activity reports, or SARs, which banks are required to file with the Treasury Department when they suspect a financial transaction may be involved in an illicit activity such as money laundering, terrorism or sex trafficking.
The report said JPMorgan filed suspicious activity reports covering $4.3 million in transactions by Mr. Epstein from 2002 to 2016. But it waited until after Mr. Epstein’s arrest on sex trafficking charges in 2019 and subsequent death to file reports that described some $1.3 billion in transactions as suspicious (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/30/business/jpmorgan-jeffrey-epstein.html).
Internal bank emails suggest JPMorgan may have waited to file those reports because it wanted “to continue working with Epstein” as a source of referrals for business even after firing him as a client in 2013, the report found.
Mr. Wyden, in a statement, said it was “clear that JPMorgan Chase ought to face criminal investigation for the way it enabled Epstein’s horrific crimes.” The report said both Congress and the Justice Department should investigate the bank.

That's your standard and I'll stick to my assertion that I've yet to see anything that leads me to believe Trump has committed any crimes but, in fact, has helped end the terror of Epstein's crimes. And, we simply don't share the opinion on his fitness for office. I think he's doing a bang-up job and is executing on every one of his campaign promises.
Zero leg to stand on ^
When trump was adjudicated as a rapist and also convicted of 34 Felonies - you twisted yourself into a complicit pretzel and still defended his crimes.
You will do it again - even if showed a video of trump bruttally assaulting a child...you will declare the video fake, the source a Democrat/deep stater, etc

Harvard Crimson with the receipts
“Mr. Summers and Ms. New spent their honeymoon in St. John and Jamaica in December 2005, which was long before Mr. Epstein was arrested for the first time,” Goldberg wrote. “As part of that trip, they made a brief visit of less than a day to Mr. Epstein’s island.”
The visit came months after authorities in Florida had opened a criminal sexual-battery investigation into Epstein. In March 2005, Palm Beach police began inquiring into allegations from the mother of a 14-year-old girl who said Epstein had molested her daughter at his mansion in Palm Beach. Over the following months, detectives identified additional potential victims and witnesses, and in October 2005, police executed a search warrant on Epstein’s home as part of the expanded investigation.
In that period, Epstein began assembling a legal defense team. He retained several lawyers — including then-Harvard Law School professor Alan M. Dershowitz — in the days immediately preceding Summers’ Dec. 21 flight.
The case first received widespread public attention in July 2006.
The December flight was one of four total trips Summers took aboard Epstein’s planes over several years — and one of three flights during the period when Summers served as president of Harvard. The four flights have been previously reported, and Harvard’s 2020 report on its ties to Epstein noted that several faculty had flown on Epstein’s plane.
While Summers has long acknowledged having known Epstein, the honeymoon visit is a new indication of the closeness of their relationship in the 2000s, including during Summers’ tenure in Massachusetts Hall.

".....It is unclear when -- or even whether -- the public will see the files, or how complete they might be, as the bill includes several exceptions to a full release that could complicate or delay disclosure.
The bill says the DOJ "may withhold or redact" the identities and "personal and medical files," of Epstein's victims. Bondi has said the department will "continue to follow the law while protecting victims."....

FOIA request related to the handling of the Epstein files gets expedited
In this Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) case, Democracy Forward seeks expedited review of FOIA requests regarding the Justice Department’s handling of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. After the Department constructively denied its expedited review requests, Democracy Forward filed this lawsuit and moved for summary judgment. Because Democracy Forward has demonstrated that the Department’s handling of the Epstein files is a “matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exist possible questions about the government’s integrity that affect public confidence,” 28 C.F.R. § 16.5(e)(1)(iv), its FOIA requests are largely entitled to expedited review. But because its requests are partially overbroad, the court will GRANT IN PART and DENY IN PART Democracy Forward’s Motion for Summary Judgment. At the outset, the court notes that Plaintiff’s Notice of Recent Developments, ECF No. 16, does not affect the court’s review of the instant motion. In reviewing requests for expedited processing, the court is limited to “the record before the agency at the time” of the denial or constructive denial. 5 U.S.C. § 552(a)(6)(E)(iii). Therefore, although recent Congressional activity and media coverage may support Democracy Forward’s claim regarding “the public’s urgent need for access” to the information Democracy Forward seeks, Pl.’s Notice at 3, the court cannot and will not consider it. Moreover, recent legislation concerning the release of the Epstein files does not moot this case because Democracy Forward seeks records concerning the Department’s handling of the files—records that are distinct from the files themselves.https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show_public_doc?2025cv2597-17
Winehole23
11-24-2025, 07:34 PM
Democracy Forward has also established that this widespread media coverage raises “possible questions about the government’s integrity that affect public confidence.” 28 C.F.R. § 16.5(e)(1)(iv). As the plain text of the regulation makes clear, a requestor need not point to actual evidence of government misconduct; they need only show possible questions regarding government integrity. “The primary way to determine whether such possible questions exist by examining the state of public coverage . . . and whether that coverage surfaces possible ethics issues” that affect public confidence. Am. Oversight, 292 F. Supp. 3d at 508. Democracy Forward has cleared this bar. As its submission to the Justice Department showed, prominent outlets have reported that the Department’s change in position has generated widespread controversy that has undermined public trust. See, e.g., David Morgan, Epstein Furor Undermines Public Trust, Republican Election Hopes, Two U.S. Lawmakers Say, REUTERS (July 27, 2025), https://perma.cc/7H7D-T95C. The New York Times wrote that it “fueled further suspicion that something was being hidden.” Maggie Haberman & Glenn Thrush, Attorney General Told Trump His Name Appeared in Epstein Files, N.Y. TIMES (July 23, 2025), https://perma.cc/T4BE-HQXG. Newsweek similarly reported that “the controversy over transparency and accountability in the Epstein investigation remains a focal point for the public, with polls indicating most Americans—across party lines—believe the federal government is concealing evidence related to the case.” Anna Commander, Republican Targeted by Trump Says Epstein Issue “Not Going to Go Away,” NEWSWEEK (July 23, 2025), https://perma.cc/8YHB-FUNE. And NPR reported that the Justice Department’s handling of the matter has resulted in “credibility problems” for the Department. See Sacha Pfeiffer et al., DOJ Faces Credibility Questions As It Investigates Jeffrey Epstein, NPR (July 25, 2025), https://perma.cc/M3WE-C7D8. In sum, the media coverage cited by Democracy Forward shows that the Department’s handling of the Epstein files raises possible questions regarding the government’s integrity.
Winehole23
11-24-2025, 07:35 PM
For the reasons explained above, the court will GRANT IN PART and DENY IN PART Democracy Forward’s Motion for Summary Judgment. The court will order Defendants to expedite processing of Democracy Forward’s July 25 and July 28 FOIA requests, except with respect to the overbroad search terms “whistleblower” and “flight logs.”

status update requested by House members
Five members of Congress from both parties and both chambers are asking Attorney General Pam Bondi for a briefing and status update by the end of the week on the legally mandated release (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/house-bill-force-release-epstein-files-bipartisan-vote-rcna244301) of the Jeffrey Epstein files (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/what-in-epstein-files-when-release-house-bill-vote-trump-sign-rcna244799).
Congress overwhelmingly passed a law requiring the Justice Department to release the documents within 30 days of the Nov. 19 enactment (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-signs-bill-release-justice-department-jeffrey-epstein-files-rcna244793) of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
“In light of the short 30 day deadline to release the Epstein Files, we are particularly focused on understanding the contents of any new evidence, information or procedural hurdles that could interfere with the Department’s ability meet this statutory deadline,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Bondi (https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/26330855-doj-epstein-files-briefing-request-letter/) dated Wednesday and first obtained by NBC News.

One of Alex Acosta's subs, very chummy with Epstein afterwards
Jeffrey Epstein had multiple appointments, phone calls and dinners with Matthew Menchel — the Miami U.S. Attorney’s office chief criminal prosecutor who spearheaded Epstein’s sweetheart deal in 2007, newly released documents show. A tranche of over 8,500 pages of records from Epstein’s estate — released by the House Oversight Committee Friday — show that Epstein’s calendars and emails reflect that Menchel, who left the DOJ in 2007, had multiple meetings or dinners with Epstein in 2011, 2013 and 2017. Lawmakers also referred to a photograph of Menchel on a ski trip with Epstein sometime in the 2000s, but didn’t produce the photo.

very well-connected on Wall Street
money spigot didn't stop flowing even after Epstein pleaded out in 2007
On Wall Street, finding success takes a mix of ambition, skill and luck. But turning a good run into a fortune—and then power—requires connections. A cache of more than 18,000 emails (https://www.bloomberg.com/latest/epstein-inbox) sent to and from Epstein’s private Yahoo account, obtained by Bloomberg News earlier this year, shows the abundance of access he enjoyed across Wall Street and how relentless he was at transforming it into wealth.
It’s been well established that JPMorgan Chase & Co. and other major banks (https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2025-jeffrey-epstein-emails-hsbc/) worked with Epstein after he pleaded guilty in June 2008 to state-level sex charges in Florida, including procurement of minors to engage in prostitution, and served about a year in jail. Congressional investigators are probing that business, and President Donald Trump, once friendly with Epstein, signed legislation last month compelling the Justice Department to release its files on him.
The Yahoo emails provide new details about Epstein as an investor and adviser, including how he leveraged influence when his bets lost money. They also show that Epstein’s ties on Wall Street were broader than previously known, involving not just standard banking relationships but some of the most sought-after hedge funds.
➞ Read more about how Bloomberg News vetted Epstein’s emails
(https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2025-09-11/how-bloomberg-news-vetted-the-jeffrey-epstein-emails)
After stories of Epstein’s teenage victims spilled into the open, Wall Street continued to stay in touch. He had access to prestigious names in global finance, including Renaissance and the investment firm of billionaire Carl Icahn. And as Epstein was directing his high-powered attorneys to pressure the government into offering him a light sentence, he threatened legal action against Bear Stearns and top executives for steep losses.
The email cache doesn’t solve a central Epstein enigma: How did a former math teacher without a college degree turn himself into a globetrotting money manager with his own island? But it shows Epstein’s gamesmanship across Wall Street, where he was chummy, aggressive and effective. He found the right doors to banks, brokerages, billionaires and investments. When something went wrong, he had a playbook to handle it, often ruthlessly.
When that high-flying career was threatened by investigations, charges and convictions, not all of his most elite connections shunned him. Instead, some helped him keep the money-machine turning.

tl;dr
Trump and Epstein were close buds up until 2004
Tina Davis, who worked with Ford Models in the mid-1990s, said in an interview that her Ford booker instructed her to get dressed up and attend a Mar-a-Lago party in late 1994. Just 14 and new to Miami, she was told to “dress sexy,” according to her mother, Sandra Coleman, who had accompanied her to Florida. Eight or nine other models came along on the bus. “All the girls were really young,” Ms. Coleman recalled in an interview. “Some of them could have been in training bras.”
When they arrived at Mar-a-Lago, Ms. Coleman said, her daughter was promptly handed a glass of champagne. She took it away, but waiters kept offering more. Each time one of the middle-aged men at the party approached her daughter, Ms. Coleman would walk over and introduce herself as Ms. Davis’s mother.
During a trip to the bathroom, they ran into Mr. Trump’s new wife, whom they had met earlier. Ms. Maples clasped her hands, Ms. Coleman recalled, and looked her in the eye. “Whatever you do, do not let her around any of these men, and especially my husband,” she told Ms. Coleman. “Protect her.”

DOJ misses the deadline
The Department of Justice will not be releasing all of its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by Friday’s deadline, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Friday morning.
In an interview with Fox News, Blanche said the department would “release several hundred thousand documents today.”
But he acknowledged Friday’s release would not encompass all of the DOJ’s documents for the investigation into the late financier.
“I expect that we’re going to release more documents over the next couple of weeks, so today several hundred thousand and then over the next couple weeks, I expect several hundred thousand more,” Blanche said. “There’s a lot of eyes looking at these and we want to make sure that when we do produce the materials we are producing, that we are protecting every single victim.”
The delay means the White House is in apparent conflict with a law President Donald Trump signed in November (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/19/trump-signs-epstein-files-bill-00658418) that mandated the wholesale release of all of its non-exempt Epstein information within a 30-day period.

Tens of thousands of documents that appeared to be from the Epstein files were briefly posted on the Justice Department’s website Monday before disappearing without explanation.
The documents reviewed by POLITICO were available to download through a Justice.gov (http://justice.gov/) link early Monday afternoon and remained available for several hours. The link was not visible on the Justice Department’s website where officials have been posting documents from the files it is required to disclose under a law (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/19/trump-signs-epstein-files-bill-00658418) passed by Congress last month. But the URL corresponded with an anticipated eighth “dataset” of documents that officials were expected to release.
That dataset appeared to be next in the sequence of documents that the Justice Department began releasing on Friday (https://www.politico.com/news/2025/12/19/epstein-investigation-files-released-00700666) pertaining to the decades-long investigation and prosecution of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell for a sprawling sex trafficking operation
Justice Department spokespeople didn’t respond to POLITICO’s requests for comment on the new documents. The material included tens of thousands of government documents and emails, as well as several dozen videos from the Bureau of Prisons.
The materials describe 2008 negotiations between the Justice Department and lawyers for Epstein as he attempted to settle claims that he trafficked girls. They include internal 2019 deliberations by the Justice Department and federal prosecutors in New York as they neared criminal charges against Epstein over his trafficking ring.
The records show prosecutors’ attempts to trace Epstein’s vast financial empire and far-flung properties, his ties to prominent financial industry executives and records of investigators’ efforts to track the movements of Epstein and Maxwell. They also catalogue the internal deliberations of Justice Department officials — whose identities are largely redacted — as they dealt with the internal demands and pressures from superiors related to the Epstein probe.
And they show how prosecutors pivoted from the shock of Epstein’s 2019 suicide in jail while he awaited trial to pursuing his co-conspirators.

After Epstein’s August, 2019 death, prosecutors produced a seven-page memo on co-conspirators they might consider charging and followed that with an 86-page update in December, according to the files. They also produced a 13-page memo of corporate prosecutions they might pursue and a 26-page memo regarding another target prosecutors considered pursuing.
Only references to the memos — not the documents themselves — appeared in the tranche temporarily published Monday. If eventually made public, the memos could show the calculations prosecutors made about whether to charge people associated with the sex-trafficking operation.
Prosecutors ultimately charged only Epstein and Maxwell.

Trump wants to protect powerful pedos, for some reason
Maybe he wants them to owe him a favor
"I don't like the pictures of Bill Clinton being shown. I don't like the pictures of other people being shown. I think it's a terrible thing," the president told reporters. "I think Bill Clinton's a big boy, he can handle it. But you probably have pictures being exposed of other people that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago ... and they're highly respected bankers and lawyers and others."
The president said Epstein was "all over Palm Beach" and many people crossed paths with him.
"A lot of people are very angry that pictures are being released of other people that really had nothing to do with Epstein, but they're in a picture with him because he was at a party, and you ruin a reputation of somebody," Mr. Trump said Monday at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

DOJ fails to redact victim's name
A Jeffrey Epstein survivor who has only ever chosen to identify herself anonymously as “Jane Doe” was startled to learn that her name appeared multiple times in the Justice Department’s release of the Epstein files (https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/19/politics/takeaways-epstein-files-justice-department) that began on Friday, and she told CNN in an exclusive interview Monday that her attempts to get the DOJ to redact her name from the publicly available documents had been unsuccessful so far.
Jane Doe said she both witnessed and experienced Epstein’s abuse in 2009 and reported her experience to the FBI the same year. That time frame is particularly significant, because it was after Epstein pleaded guilty to two state prostitution charges in Florida in the aftermath of receiving a non-prosecution deal with federal prosecutors.

DOJ doing peekaboo posting is a motif
Former Harvard President Lawrence H. Summers was once designated as a successor executor in convicted sex offender Jeffrey E. Epstein’s will, positioning him to oversee Epstein’s estate if the primary executors were unable or unwilling to serve, according to a copy disclosed by the Department of Justice on Monday.
The will, which was signed in November 2014, was one of more than 6,000 files that appeared briefly on the Department of Justice’s website as part of an additional tranche of Epstein-related records, before being removed.
The Justice Department has not confirmed the circumstances under which the document was posted or removed, and a spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2025/12/22/summers-epstein-will/

releasing fake documents to discredit their own document dump?
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/jeffrey-epstein-tried-send-letter-larry-nassar-death-records-show-rcna87400
The latest Justice Department release of Jeffrey Epstein files sheds some light on the FBI’s quest in 2019 to charge additional suspects who may have helped the financier or participated in his sex trafficking crimes. The names of 10 potential co-conspirators, or suspects, that New York prosecutors intended to interview in 2019 was mentioned in the new documents, released Tuesday.
Three of those suspects were: Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell; French modeling scout Jean-Luc Brunel; and Leslie Wexner, the billionaire former owner of Victoria’s Secret, who was once a client of Epstein’s. The other names were redacted without explanation. The files, released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, specifies that only certain names be redacted — primarily those of Epstein’s victims.
But the DOJ has 15 days to explain the exemptions that they used to justify the redactions. The newly released batch of some 10,000 files make multiple references to President Donald Trump, including a January 2020 memo by an assistant US attorney revealing that Trump was on many more flights than the DOJ was aware of — between 1993 and 1996. On one of the flights, there were three passengers: Trump, Epstein and a 20-year-old woman; on two other flights, the prosecutor noted that Trump was on the plane with two women who could potentially be witnesses in the criminal case they were building at the time against Maxwell.
Trump has repeatedly denied he had any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. In 2024, he said on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he was “never on Epstein’s plane, or at his ‘stupid’ island.” The Department of Justice released a statement Tuesday saying a number of the documents pertaining to the president were “untrue and sensationalist claims” that were made against Trump before the 2020 Election. The emails and correspondence involving Epstein’s 2007 sweetheart plea deal in South Florida was also heavily redacted. With few exceptions, all of the prosecutors’ names were blacked out, making it almost impossible to understand how his non-prosecution agreement unfolded, why it was kept secret and how Epstein received federal immunity in the first place.
At the time, Epstein was accused of sexually assaulting nearly 40 underage girls in his Palm Beach mansion. Documents released earlier show that the DOJ not only had victims’ statements, but they also had supporting evidence, such as phone records, phone messages, witness statements and bank deposit records reflecting his payments to the girls. All three past document releases have been heavily redacted, including some photos of older men.
But the names of many of Esptein’s survivors have appeared throughout the pages, sometimes dozens of times, prompting victims to accuse the DOJ of violating the law — and trying to intimidate them. Some of them have called for US Attorney Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to step down. “I am so disgusted with this administration,” said Haley Robson, who voted for Trump, told CNN. “I think Kash Patel and Pam Bondi both need to resign, and I would love to see Number 47 [Trump] get impeached over this.”
There were also an array of tips to the FBI and DOJ hotline about the case, one that the DOJ was forced to admit on Tuesday was an outright fake: a letter that appeared to be written by Epstein to Larry Nassar, the former U.S. Olympic Gymnastics coach and convicted rapist, after the letter went viral on the internet. The DOJ was finally forced to look into it and announced that a subsequent handwriting analysis ruled out Epstein had written it. “This fake letter serves as a reminder that just because a document is released by the Department of Justice does not make the allegations or claims within the document factual. Nevertheless, the DOJ will continue to release all material required by law,” the DOJ noted.

The records also showed that Epstein’s younger brother, Mark Epstein, filed a report with the FBI in 2023 claiming that his brother was murdered in his jail cell because he was about to “name names.”
Reached by phone Tuesday, Mark Epstein said that the FBI never followed up. Epstein, 71, has long believed that his brother was killed, and alleged in the tip that Trump “authorized” the late sex trafficker’s murder.
Asked why he believed Trump was involved, he said: “The question becomes, who would be in a position to orchestrate this and have the Justice Department cover it up?”

media on Monday evening. An exhibit in a civil case in the Virgin Islands against Darren K Indyke and Richard D Kahn, two executors of Epstein’s estate, contains redacted allegations explaining how Epstein and his associates had facilitated the sexual abuse of children. The exhibit was the second amended complaint in the state case against Indyke and Kahn.
In section 85, the redacted portion states: “Between September 2015 and June 2019, Indyke signed (FAC) for over $400,000 made payable to young female models and actresses, including a former Russian model who received over $380,000 through monthly payments of $8,333 made over a period of more than three and a half years until the middle of 2019.”
Prosecutors in the Virgin Islands settled its civil sex-trafficking case against Epstein’s estate, Indyke and Kahn in 2022 for $105m, plus one half of the proceeds from the sale of Little St James, the island on which Epstein resided and on which many of his crimes occurred. The justice department press release announcing the settlement did not include an admission of liability.
Indyke, an attorney who represented Epstein for decades, has not been criminally indicted by federal authorities. He was hired by the Parlatore Law Group in 2022, before the justice department settled the Epstein case. That firm represents the defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, and previously represented Donald Trump in his defense against charges stemming from the discovery of classified government documents stored at Trump’s Florida estate. Calls and email seeking comment from Indyke and the Parlatore Law Group have not yet been returned.

FOX23 reached out to the Kiefer Police Department for further information regarding any gunshot wound death ruled a suicide around the time listed in the filing, but due to the redactions in the filings, the dept. said it makes it nearly impossible to connect any dots.
The police said though there were a couple cases they could recall during that time frame, whether they were directly in Kiefer or right outside Kiefer was up for debate. They also said tracking down any actual record after nearly 26 years can be difficult for them.
When speaking to the police, they said they reached out to the FBI to see if the Bureau could help the dept. in clearing some of the redactions in the filings for them, so they could search records for specific names, but the Bureau was unable to do so.
FOX23 also reached out to the Medical Examiner's Office for any reports out of Kiefer during that time frame and the Creek County Sheriff's Office for any cases that may have fallen under their jurisdiction during that time, but we have not heard back just yet.

Trump is not only protecting elite pedos, he's protecting the money network that enabled it
By mid-2007, investigators had unraveled at least twenty million dollars in dubious transfers between Epstein’s entities and the private accounts of his distant associates, stretching from Europe to the Middle East. The inquiry, now running on hope and determination, slammed to a halt after senior officials reviewed the evidence and abruptly shrank its scope. They justified this as a question of jurisdiction and resources, but to agents whose mission had been abruptly sabotaged, these were hollow words. Nearly a quarter of the task force was torn away, and ten subpoenas were left to wither, silencing crucial leads. In a single stroke, 40% of the money trail vanished into darkness. Once urgent correspondence was reduced to info-only memos, the investigation, so close to the heart of Epstein’s network, was suddenly cold.
While the trafficking inquiry focused on victims, the financial branch exposed the intricate web of banks, shell companies, and intermediaries that enabled, protected, and profited from abuse. This investigation revealed how Epstein’s wealth was systematically converted into influence, making these financial channels critical to amplifying his power and connecting the abuse with the underlying financial mechanisms.
Ultimately, the money-laundering case nearly exposed Epstein’s financial network before it was halted.

Clintons defy subpoena to testify in Epstein investigation, risking being held in contempt
Bill and Hillary Clinton have officially refused to testify in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — defying subpoenas and risking being held in contempt of Congress.
The former president and Secretary of State were scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill for closed-door depositions Tuesday and Wednesday. But, in a letter to House Oversight Chair James Comer, attorneys for the Clintons said their clients would not be complying.

if anyone is protecting Bill Clinton from further exposure at this point it's the DOJ

why is Ghislaine Maxwell getting the kid gloves treatment from Trump's DOJ?
they even gave her a puppy
One of the oddest occurrences in the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein imbroglio was the trip that Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney general, took in July to Tallahassee, Florida, to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s serving a 20-year sentence for procuring underage girls, some as young as 14, for Epstein to sexually abuse. Prior to being nominated by Trump to the No. 2 position in the Justice Department, Blanche was Trump’s criminal attorney in the porn-star-hush-money-forged-business-records case in New York, in which Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts.
Blanche never provided a compelling explanation for this unprecedented act. Why was Trump’s former personal lawyer and a top Justice Department official meeting with a sex offender whom the US government had previously assailed for her “willingness to lie brazenly under oath about her conduct” (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/impossible-credible-blanche-breaks-silence-meeting-ghislaine-maxwell/story?id=125647237)? Legal observers scratched their heads over this. Months later, Blanche said (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/impossible-credible-blanche-breaks-silence-meeting-ghislaine-maxwell/story?id=125647237), “The point of the interview was to allow her to speak, which nobody had done before.” That didn’t make much sense. How often does the deputy attorney general fly 900 miles to afford a convicted sex offender a chance to chat? It was as if Blanche was trying to create fodder for conspiracy theorists.
What made all this even stranger is that after their tete-a-tete, Maxwell was transferred (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/ghislaine-maxwell-moved-federal-prison-texas-rcna222497) to a minimum-security, women-only, federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, that houses mainly nonviolent offenders and white collar crooks. This facility—home to disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and fraduster Jen Shah—is a much cushier facility than the co-ed Tallahassee prison.
When the transfer was first reported in August, the Bureau of Prisons refused to explain the reason for the move, which Epstein abuse survivors protested. So I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the BOP asking for information related to this relocation. Specifically:
all records mentioning or referencing Maxwell’s transfer to Federal Prison Camp Byran. This includes emails, memoranda, transfer orders, phone messages, texts, electronic chats, and any other communications, whether internal to BOP or between BOP personnel and any other governmental or nongovernmental personnel
Guess what? The BOP did not jump to and provide the information. After a months-long delay, the agency noted it would take up to nine months to fulfill this request.
We are suing. That is, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (https://www.rcfp.org/tanvi-valsangikar-interview/), a nonprofit that provides pro bono legal assistance to journalists, today filed a lawsuit in federal district court in Washington, DC, on behalf of the Center for Investigative Reporting (which publishes Mother Jones), to compel the BOP to provide the relevant records. The filing notes that the BOP violated the Freedom of Information Act by initially failing to respond in a timely manner.
We’re not the only ones after this information. In August, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) sent a letter (https://www.whitehouse.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/2025-08-07-Letter-to-BOP-Maxwell-Transfer.pdf) to William Marshall III, the BOP director, requesting similar material. “Against the backdrop of the political scandal arising from President Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, Ms.Maxwell’s abrupt transfer raises questions about whether she has been given special treatment in exchange for political favors,” he wrote. Whitehouse asked for a response within three weeks. He received no reply—and, along with Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), filed a FOIA request.
In November, a whistleblower notified (https://democrats-judiciary.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/whistleblower-shares-evidence-that-federal-prison-camp-warden-is-pampering-ghislaine-maxwell-maxwell-also-filing-a-commutation-application-with-trump-administration) Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee that at Camp Bryan Maxwell was receiving preferential treatment that included customized meals brought to her cell, private meetings with visitors (who were permitted to bring in computers), email services through the warden’s office, after-hours use of the prison gym, and access to a puppy (that was being trained as a service dog). That month, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the senior Democrat on the committee, wrote Trump requesting that Blanche appear before the committee to answer questions about Maxwell’s treatment. That has not happened.
