I don't know how much cap space the Mavs have but historically even when they did have cap space, they never got a bigtime free agent to sign with them. I'm very skeptical of your ownership and management will build a winning team around Cooper. I could see it being a situation much like Lebron's first stint with the Cavs or even worse.

I have been a huge Pop hater for years. Go dig up all my old posts I have argued for years on here coaching is overrated so losing Pop is not a loss. I just don't see how your situation is better like I said you got a broken-down made out glass man in AD and broken knees in Kyrie.
