You have a made out of glass player in AD and an old guard in Kyrie who won't be the same when he's available to come back within a year. I don't know how much cap space the Mavs have but historically even when they did have cap space, they never got a bigtime free agent to sign with them. I'm very skeptical of your ownership and management will build a winning team around Cooper. I could see it being a situation much like Lebron's first stint with the Cavs or even worse.

I have been a huge Pop hater for years. Go dig up all my old posts I have argued for years on here coaching is overrated so losing Pop is not a loss. I just don't see how your situation is better like I said you got a broken-down made out glass man in AD and broken knees in Kyrie. You also have a team that is run by idiots in Nico and Patrick Dumont. Having a generational prospect doesn't mean anything when the guys who run the team are idiots as we have seen with Lebron's first stint in Cleveland. I'm very confident they will make dumb moves and we'll be seeing Cooper as a Laker in several years.
