Granted, some may not have had a choice and were forced out. I think it also lessens the fan experience as we're now reduced to rooting for "rent-a-players" who rotate out every year and don't have any real allegiance to UT. From a team chemistry / culture perspective, how much turnover can the team sustain before it becomes a cancer that you can't control? If the guy I've been playing next to and formed a bond with leaves (or is forced out), how motivated am I to stick around?

I should add that the more you read about Texas' plan for the OL, the more it becomes apparent that the idea is having Brandon Baker slide inside to RG for 2026.

The good news on Melvin Siani is he has two years of eligibility should Texas land him, so he could be viewed as not only really good depth but the potential starter at LT for 2027.
