On the line of hamburgers, went to JohnnyRockets downtown the other day and that was pretty damn good. Okay, thought I'd bring up a food topic since it hasn't been done in a while. By the way, is Freebirds good?

I like Johnny Rockets too - they have excellent shakes.

I've eaten at Freebirds in Austin and the burritos are def. huge. The one I had was nothing special flavor-wise...but then again, San Antonio is the benchmark for Tex-Mex food so I'm a bit spoiled.

O yea guys one more thing, the Chachos on Perrin Beitel is now open I've heard, along with some sports bar on top that serves Pizza. I gotta hit that one up as well. That's one big hell of a building!!

My friend opened up a restaurant in the South Side a couple of years ago and called it Fat Burger- needless to say, he was contacted by the real Fat Burger and was requested to change the name. It's now call SA Burger but was hoping he would have called it Big Guy Burger

Hell yea they are!! Anyway, it is right when you exit perrin Beitel. You barely have to go far. You'll pass the weinersnetchel or however you spell that hot dog place and it'll be right there. You can't miss it because it's one hell of a big two story building. It' got a kids playground, 4 drive thrus, and a pizza place upstairs that has a bar and all that stuff. I'm gonna talk my girl into swinging by it tonight and getting some tacos.

I've eaten there twice at the Huebner and I-10 location. As Solid D said, there is nothing special about the flavor, it's more about the monsters they build for you. A bit expensive for what you get also.

Maybe it deserves it's own thread but what is the best burrito in SA?
