Freebirds is one of the gifts of life, send by god himself to please the stomach.
Get a Monster, steak, flour tortilla, refried beans, regular jack cheese, habanero sauce, and a cherry pepsi. It will be a luscious flavor volcano in your mouth.
Heard from a friend that it is nearly done off I-10 by Freebirds and whatever else they are building. I'll travel just to go eat there as soon as it opens up baby!! On the line of hamburgers, went to JohnnyRockets downtown the other day and that was pretty damn good. Okay, thought I'd bring up a food topic since it hasn't been done in a while. By the way, is Freebirds good?

I like Johnny Rockets too - they have excellent shakes.

Freebirds is something that you MUST try. Their burritos are amazing.
The fatburger is in the huebner oaks shopping center I think, along with freebirds, panda express, and lots of other stuff. I think it's in that general area.
Argh.. now I am hungry...
I've eaten at Freebirds in Austin and the burritos are def. huge. The one I had was nothing special flavor-wise...but then again, San Antonio is the benchmark for Tex-Mex food so I'm a bit spoiled.

O yea guys one more thing, the Chachos on Perrin Beitel is now open I've heard, along with some sports bar on top that serves Pizza. I gotta hit that one up as well. That's one big of a building!!

yeah its in the same place as that new greek place and panda express like you said....its on the other side of the road from huebner oaks though
My friend opened up a restaurant in the South Side a couple of years ago and called it Fat Burger- needless to say, he was contacted by the real Fat Burger and was requested to change the name. It's now call SA Burger but was hoping he would have called it Big Guy Burger

Fatburger is good, but I would be much happier if they brought In-and-Out Burger here.

FatBurger sucks here in Vegas, Inn n Out is the best.

yea they are!! Anyway, it is right when you exit perrin Beitel. You barely have to go far. You'll pass the weinersnetchel or however you spell that hot dog place and it'll be right there. You can't miss it because it's one of a big two story building. It' got a kids playground, 4 drive thrus, and a pizza place upstairs that has a bar and all that stuff. I'm gonna talk my girl into swinging by it tonight and getting some tacos.
