This game is over. It was over the moment the second quarter came to a close. Dallas never had thier imprint on this game. I love what the Mavericks have done this season in terms of establishing a defensive identity, but they run too many iso plays for Nowitzki. Against Detroit or San Antonio in the playoffs, even Miami, they will have a hard time because they do not move the ball enough. When there's so many scorers on the team - Stackhouse, Terry, Nowitzki - there has to be a distributor. I didn't see that guy on the court tonight.

Whatever the undefined "it" is, Dallas doesn't have it. This was like watching the Knicks chase the Bulls in the '90s. All the moves Dallas makes are to beat San Antonio, and they seem to be a step below for whatever reason. I really like this team, but this was as close to a playoff game as you can come, and I don't care what their record says - they are not as good as San Antonio, and they are not Title contenders. Plain and Simple.
