Tue 29 LA Lakers 8:30 PM

14 games (7 home 7 away)

Rough start with long roadie. Key games against Western contender Denver, at new and improved defensive minded Dallas, Houston and at Sacto who I think has a shot to win the Pacific, because of Phoenix' injuries.

Prediction: 13-4

Fri 6 Minnesota 8:00 PM ESPN2

Prediction: 12-2

Wed 8 at Toronto 7:00 PM

16 games (7 home 9 away)

Toughest month to date. Key games Dallas, at LAL twice, at Phoenix with Stoudemire back on the team, at Houston, at Denver, at Seattle, and home against Houston. Spurs will have to play their best to be 500 team this month.

Tue 4 at Utah 9:00 PM
Wed 5 Sacramento 9:30 PM ESPN
Fri 7 Dallas 8:30 PM

Sun 16 at Minnesota 1:00 PM ABC
Mon 17 Utah 8:30 PM
Wed 19 at Houston 8:00 PM ESPN

10 games(7 home 3 away)

Easiest month, but Pop might be resting starters in last week in preparation of playoffs, so record might falter.

Key games: Sacto, Dallas, Seattle and at Houston, who themselves will have a rough month with more road games and will be trying to lock down HCA in first round, so they will be really wanting to win this game.

Prediction: 8-2

Overall:

63-19

Spurs record for wins in a season.

Picking a record is very impressive. Too many things can factor in. As someone who's pretty informed and tried, but failed miserably at this, I tip my cap...

I pick Lebron or Nash.

I think it will be James.

Impressive, Jim....and equally impressive that you probably made your prognostication while awaiting someone's Bitewing X-rays to develop.

Darrin apparently expects the Spurs to drop only two games in the entire WC playoffs, before losing to the Pistons in 7 games.

Thus, 15-6.

Besides, you said 63-65 games...that is not near as good as predicting the EXACT number of games...face it, you just are not as good as I am about predicting the Spurs' successes.

I'm pretty sure I made the 63 prediction somewhere on the board, but there are too many threads (especially worthless ones) to look for it...

I am thinking 16-6 this year.

Barring upsets:

4-1 against Sacto
4-2 against Dallas
4-1 against Phoenix
4-2 against Detroit

Now, I will make a new prediction after each round, because I have to look at injuries, certain players' ineffectiveness in prior series, etc., but this is what I feel right this very moment.
