    Month by month schedule breakdown

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my month by month breakdown of the Spurs' schedule and my predictions of their record each month, and a short summary of key games.

    NOVEMBER

    Tue 1 Denver 8:00 PM
    Fri 4 Cleveland 8:00 PM
Sat 5 at Dallas 8:30 PM
Mon 7 at Chicago 8:30 PM
Wed 9 at Charlotte 7:30 PM
Fri 11 at Boston 7:30 PM
Sat 12 at Washington 7:00 PM
    Tue 15 Atlanta 8:30 PM
    Thu 17 Houston 9:30 PM
    Sat 19 Phoenix 8:30 PM
Mon 21 at Sacramento 10:00 PM
Wed 23 at Golden State 10:30 PM
    Fri 25 Chicago 8:30 PM
Tue 29 LA Lakers 8:30 PM

    14 games (7 home 7 away)

Rough start with long roadie. Key games against Western contender Denver, at new and improved defensive minded Dallas, Houston and at Sacto who I think has a shot to win the Pacific, because of Phoenix' injuries.

    Prediction: 11-3

    DECEMBER
Thu 1 at Dallas 8:00 PM
    Sat 3 Philadelphia 8:30 PM
Mon 5 at Orlando 7:00 PM

    Tue 27 Indiana 8:30 PM
Thu 29 New Orleans 8:30 PM
Sat 31 at Denver 9:00 PM

    17 games ( 8 home 9 away)

Key games: Tough month with some tough road games at Milwaukee, Detroit Denver and a NY team that always seems to beat SA at home. First matchup with Miami and Detroit, two teams that are contending for the championshiip.

    Prediction: 13-4

    JANUARY

    Fri 6 Minnesota 8:00 PM ESPN2

    Sun 22 Denver 1:00 PM ABC s
    Tue 24 Charlotte 8:30 PM
Wed 25 at New Orleans 8:00 PM
    Sat 28 Minnesota 8:30 PM
Mon 30 at Utah 9:00 PM

    14 games (9 home 5 away)

Easiest month thus far with only real tests against Denver, Detroit and Miami. Spurs start rodeo trip, an 8 game trip in Utah. This month should be their best month and they should start to separate themselves from the Western pack by months end.

    Prediction: 12-2

    FEBRUARY
Wed 1 at Portland 10:00 PM
Thu 2 at Golden State 10:30 PM TNT

Fri 24 at Memphis 8:00 PM
Sat 25 Golden State 8:30 PM
Mon 27 New York 8:30 PM

    11 games (3 home 8 away)

Toughest month of the year mentally and physically with 8 road games,(7 straight) Key games at Indy at NJ and at Philly.

    Prediction: 8-3

    MARCH

Thu 2 Dallas 9:30 PM TNT
    Sat 4 Portland 8:30 PM
Mon 6 at LA Lakers 10:30 PM
Tue 7 at LA Clippers 10:30 PM
Thu 9 at Phoenix 10:30 PM TNT
Fri 10 LA Lakers 8:30 PM Find
Sun 12 Houston 3:30 PM ABC
Tue 14 New Orleans 8:30 PM
    Fri 17 Phoenix 8:30 PM
Sat 18 at Houston 8:30 PM
Tue 21 Golden State 8:30 PM
Wed 22 at Denver 9:00 PM
Fri 24 at Portland 10:00 PM
Sun 26 at Seattle 7:30 PM ESPN
Tue 28 at LA Clippers 10:30 PM
Thu 30 at LA Lakers 10:30 PM TNT

    16 games (7 home 9 away)

Toughest month to date. Key games Dallas, at LAL twice, at Phoenix with Stoudemire back on the team, at Houston, at Denver, at Seattle, and home against Houston. Spurs will have to play their best to be 500 team this month.

    Prediction: 11-5

    APRIL

    Sat 1 Washington 8:30 PM
Tue 4 at Utah 9:00 PM
Wed 5 Sacramento 9:30 PM ESPN
    Fri 7 Dallas 8:30 PM
    Sun 9 Memphis 7:00 PM
    Tue 11 Seattle 8:30 PM
    Thu 13 Orlando 8:30 PM
Sun 16 at Minnesota 1:00 PM ABC
    Mon 17 Utah 8:30 PM
Wed 19 at Houston 8:00 PM ESPN

    10 games(7 home 3 away)

Easiest month, but Pop might be resting starters in last week in preparation of playoffs, so record might falter.

Key games: Sacto, Dallas, Seattle and at Houston, who themselves will have a rough month with more road games and will be trying to lock down HCA in first round, so they will be really wanting to win this game.

    Prediction: 8-2

    Overall:

    63-19

Spurs record for wins in a season.

Picking a record is very impressive. Too many things can factor in. As someone who's pretty informed and tried, but failed miserably at this, I tip my cap...

    I pick Lebron or Nash.

Impressive, Jim....and equally impressive that you probably made your prognostication while awaiting someone's Bitewing X-rays to develop.

Darrin apparently expects the Spurs to drop only two games in the entire WC playoffs, before losing to the Pistons in 7 games.

    Thus, 15-6.
