well...with our "small" lineup, the mavs are still too fast and athletic, going big would force them to take jump shots, but with the way terry, and stack are shooting it would be a pretty big risk to take during an elimination game....

I would love for us to clog the lane, Dallas isn't gonna shoot lights out EVERY night. And if they do, well then they will win the series.

I'm not sure the huge lineup would be real effective either. The Spurs are having a huge problem with the pick and roll and having a bigger, slower lineup would allow more jumpshots over the top of the pick. The biggest problem we are having right now is if we get in front of them they penetrate, if we jump the screen under, they shot from 15 feet (see Stack, Terry). We are just not athletic enough right now. Barry and Horry and Finley can't stay with their men and I can't count how many times Parker ended up on Dirk, just so he could shoot over the top. Or they make the extra pass for a wide open jumper.

Go big is the solutions:

the transition defense will be better, right now the small try to go to much for Offensive rebound, and they caught off positions.

Make Dallas bet us with jump shots, not penetrations (sure like regular season we have to contest each shoots)

More Chance For Rebound

less penetration=less contact=Less fouls = less free trow

The Spurs (like Detroit) is Defense and Rebound, not small ball like Suns.

Dallas has been shooting lights out since game 2, it seems everything they put up in the air, has found it's way to the basket.
