TWO playoff games; won by SUCH a small margin (1 pt, then OT) - and not a SINGLE clutch game winning shot for the winning squad. BOTH games either tied or won on free-throws by the same player?

The cliche is "Refs swallow the whistle". Well, obviously, that hasn't happened. Without getting into whether they calls were valid or not, they may be unprecedented.

How many clutch shots does a team have to make to win a game- especially when at least one of the clutch players has already fouled out? There's usually enough time to force the Spurs to make ONE MORE - isn't there? So that it can always be said, "well they had a chance..." - yeah, they did, and Finley made up for his TO by making a hell of a 3 over some crappy Dallas defense.

Point is, Dallas didn't have to make a clutch game winning shot, either time.

I couldn't agree more!! It's kind of like the poker game where the guy loses, pulls his gun and says to the winner, deal again. The cards are going to be dealt over and over until the bully gets what he wants.
