I ran the DVR back and replayed it since I was watching Channel 11 too. He didn't actually say "probably" but he did say GS "could".

Hector Ledesma said "but that opportunity to work with Elie again may not come. Brown's agent said that Golden State could make some more moves, leaving Devin's future up in the air."

Devin did have some very candid comments about the Spurs, how if he were to try to get back with the Spurs next year, he would have to do the things necessary to get back into that situation (to impress them next year as a FA).

(with San Antonio) "You know going into the game, hey we've got to win this game, you treat every game like that. Last year, I don't know if that was the case every game (with Utah). So you get in a situation where you start getting comfortable with things. You know maybe you don't stay after practice and get shots up. You know maybe you get back to the house early. With San Antonio, you don't do that!...Yeah I would love to be back in San Antonio"

I'm thinking there's no such thing.

It happens, sometimes.
Some examples that are in my mind :
- Last summer, Sacramento canceled their qualifying offer to Songaila. They do it to allow him to find a new team easier (they had no interest to re-sign him after the SAR signing).
- Last summer, Bobcats didn't wait 7 days to decline matching Kapono. By doing that, they allow him to be availiable for the start of the training camp with Miami.

what the spurs should do now, trade tp+gino for expiring contracts and draft picks, tank this season or next, draft sum big dude name oden, tell duncan to cancel player option, then we will have 40mill to play around with, resign duncan to cheaper contract, and sign available players to rebuild around oden.

i wonder would duncan pick up his player option of opt out and sign a new bigger contract under new cba.

Yeah and we could call KG and tell him to opt out, so we'd have a lineup of TD, KG, and GO. Then we could trade for Amare Stoudemire and Dwight Howard, and we'd dominate.
