Hey guys,
it is now less than a month till the Spurs come to Europe. :elephant We Euros can use this thread to bring together all the information about the happening.
Maybe somebody (Kori?!) knows if the Spurs (or a few of them) are going to have an autograph signing session or something like that. I does not happen very often having the Spurs that close.
So, who is going and are you as excited as I am?

It's not official until someone comes along and capitilizes that o.

I have a series of trips in Europe planned for October, so I might even be close enough to come to one of the games.

Well Streaky, I can tell you that on Saturday the day before the game, Tony's lifelike looking statue will be revealed at Madame Tusseaud in Paris.
Afterwards there will be a private party and the entire Spurs team is scheduled to be there.
And guess what?
I got news yesterday that I AM INVITED TO THE PARTY!!!

I may have a spare pair (Porte P, Row 6). Great seats. Face value 288E for the pair. Looking to break even. I'll be getting to Paris on the 5th from Wash DC.

Well, I am hitting the road tomorrow to go to Paris! Does anybody have any hints where the team well be at what time? Something like an open practise, an autograph session or something like that? Would be cool if the french poster could help out with some insider info... :) I will post pictures, when I am back. Hopefully I can meet with alamo50 before or after the game. Kori did the international Spurs fan thing with me, so if somebody on this board sees and recognizes me at the game, just say "Hallo". :)
I wish all who are going a lot of fun!!! I will have internet in Paris so I will check back frequently... :)

Thank you very much. I am really surprised that it seems pretty hard to find out some happenings where it is possible to meet the players. I really thought that at least Duncan and TP do some sessions to promote the NBA. I am still trying to find out if Parker will be at the Museum Grevin, when his wax figure will be revealed and if its possible to join the ceremony (and most importantly at what time it will be revealed).
Will you be there at the KFC? Maybe it is a good opportunity to meet some guys from this board. :)

alamo50 from LadyM's crib:
OK, I think it's best that The Iceman stays in San Antonio to represent the Spurs 'cause he just sat at that table alongside Horry at KFC in St. Denis looking like he was realy not happy to be there at all.
Same for Robert by the way, but I don't look at him the same way as Gervin offcourse. They just looked very tired an/or uninterested. They didn't communicate with the less than 100 people that bothered to show up AT ALL and didn't respond to the fans trying to communicate with them.
Anyway, I had fun meeting posters from TP9.net from age 14 to 30.
I think this time I wil make French tv 'cause I was the only one wearing the Hardwood Classic Gervin #44 (which I did get signed with "George Gervin" on one 4 and "Iceman #44" on the other 4 (which I actually never have seen on any jerseys he has signed, but the quqlity of the autogrqph shows how tired an/or bored he was)) and that camera guy was in my face a lot more than I thought was neccesary to get a decent shot of the freakin' jersey!
I thanked him very, very much and shook his hand. I did get a little taste of the in San Antonio so famous Gervin smile.
Than I passed Robert a magazine with him on the cover and he signed it.
I also shook his hand and thanked him...........no response.
It was nice to be there in St. Denis representing our dear Spurs, but nothing beats interaction with the players in San Antonio.....or maybe I am just spoiled being a D-Rob fan.
LadyM had no interest in obtaining any signatures so she got me both sigs on my old school Spurs training jacket.
THANK YOU LADYM!
Now I am here all by myself in LadyM's appartement in St. Denis while she and dave14 are at Grèvin Museum for the unveiling of Tony's statue and the party afterwards.....I was told I was invited to, but turns out that was misscommunication somewhere along the way.
Oh well, I'm gonna watch me the Clipper game tonight and be happy for my friends who are with their idol. I do know exactly how they are feeling right now. It's their turn.
Excited for the game tomorrow to represent to the fullest and to be the loudest in my section P.

Hey there. Just a few thoughts on what happened today. I was at the KFC and it was really cool seeing Ice and Horry in Person. I was one of the first in the line. I also did make a few pics. I handed them my SA 2003 Championship T-Shirt and they both signed it. I also told Horry good luck for the comming season and that I hope he will help SA to bring the Championship back. Both looked really bored during the Session. At least Horry said "Thank you." and smiled.
Alamo. I saw you! But I did not say anything because you told me you would wear some kind of DRob Shirt. I saw you (the guy with the Gervin jersey) standing in front of the KFC. You have a Spur tatoo on your left shoulder, right?! I wasn't sure but now I know... :) I was sitting inside on a table and waited for the session to start.
Afterwards I went to the TP signing session. He was really nice and smiled all the time. It was a cool atmosphere and a LOT more people than at the Horry signing. He also signed my 2003 Championship Shirt (so I have Gervin/ Horry and Parker on it :)) and I got a normal NBA Live 07 pic. I am REALLY looking forward to tomorrow and I really hope the Spurs win after the loses of the NBA teams. I think it is not going to be easy.
By the way: Paris is beautiful! I really has some flair and a lot of beautiful wommen. :)
See some of you tomorrow at the game. I hope to make it at 2 o'clock at the Bercy Metro Station.

So it was you who was waiting inside the KFC while everybody else was standing outside in the beginning?
I changed my mind about the Robinson t-shirt because I wanted to wear the Gervin jersey I wanted signed so it could dry well while I would wear it after the signing.
Damn I wish you would have shouted ALAMOOOOOOO in Paris!
Very cool you also went to the Tony signing and that you saw an enthusiastic Spurs player.
We had no time to go there because my friends had to change clothes for the Tony party.
Tomorrow I will be wearing my white D-Rob jersey under my (Gervin and Horry) signed Spurs warm-up jacket.
I will be at the exit of Bercy at 14:00 and you can find me in the stadion at Port P, Rang 11 and Seat 24.
I understand that there will be many Maccabi fans too so I am already feeling those "playoff jitters".

Okay... I will post this in both threads because there might be some interest about it. It was a really great game. It was fun seeing the Spurs again after 1999. I have a lot of photos but no webspace, so I probably won't post them. Here some short things.
- Beno looked really pissed and had a chat with some Maccabi Officials before the game
- R.C. Buford was there and talked to Simas Jasaitis after the game, a 6'7 SF I wonder if they are interested in him, he played very well
- Sam Presti was there as well (I have pics of him an R.C.)
- Eva was there, sitting next to Thierry Henry
- Tony played great (the missed dunk was hilarious though), Tim and Manu are not there yet but showed what they are able to do over streches
- Williams did not dress
- Bonner and Vaughn might be valueable to the team; Bonner was effective running the pic and roll and he shoots really well
- It was really nice meeting alamo50 :)
So it was a wonderfull weekend. I wish I could come to SA as well but it is too expensive for me. I hope all who have been there had a nice time as well.
Greetings from Paris.

It was great meeting the hardcore TP fans from all over France.
Thanks for allowing that guy with #50 on his jersey to be at your meeting you guys!
I said it before and I say it again:
