Well, STEVEYCU, you had two basic statements. Summarizing, you felt because Tony is on the same team with two other stars:
1) TP isn't in the national spotlight as much
2) TP probably wouldn't be voted in as an All-Star starter.

Tony has the spotlight on him now, in a fairly big way, known by more than just basketball fans due to his relationship with Eva. His playing level is so high that it becomes an even bigger deal for him, due to that recognition.

TP will need to beat out Steve Nash or Kobe Bryant in internet/fan voting in order to start. That won't be easy.

Where did you get that TP is the most hated on the Spurs team? Who cares about national recognition? The Spurs are world wide!!! At this point in time, TP is carrying the Spurs on his back. And when it is time to do so, Timmy and Manu will step up and get it done. Dont worry about the Spurs. Just sit back and enjoy the season. There are Spurs fans from the Philippines to Australia to New Zealand, from France to Argentina. The whole of South America. There are millions in China who admire the Spurs, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and also German Spurs fans. Look beyond the United States and you will realize what is really up. I guarantee there are plenty more people rooting for the Spurs than for the Lakers. Its been that way for a while now. Believe it or not. Try to prove me wrong.

The guy's really really good now, but give credit where credit is due. Where did he learn to adapt the Spurs system which runs on Tim Duncan. There probably is no other big man in the league who makes his teammates better and has a better basketball IQ than the Big Fundamental. Without Duncan, Spurs would still have trouble now and maybe give up 120 PPG.
