I don't know if anyone has said it either here or someplace else, but I think the judges don't care for Lakisha b/c she's fat! They seem to be setting her up to be eliminated. The last two weeks the judges have given her bleak reviews. I guess I don't have an ear for singing b/c I thought Lakisha sounded very good the last two weeks. Simon said she was shouting but to me Jordin was shouting also, even though I like Jordin and wouldn't mind her winning, but I couldn't tell the difference. Paula basically said she preferred Fantasia's version, but everytime I see Fantasia sing she's shouting her lungs off, in fact that's all she did in AI. Anyway these are my worst to best:

I just think they are down on her right now. Phil or Chris need to go. Jordin's voice is different enough and she is young enough to give Melinda a serious challenge. As long as Melinda does a soul album, I'm one of the first in line.

I gotta disagree on Blake. He doesn't have the best voice, but it's good enough to do what he does. The guy can put on a darn good show when he puts in a good mix of BB, singing, and style. However, sometimes it's over done. It's probably impossible to always be spot on with his style. As far as singing, it's not even close IMO Melinda is in a class of her own. But the nature of American Idol leads me to believe Jordin's cuteness will prevail.

That's just the difference. Going for who will sell more, who has the best voice, who has the most appeal is all different. It's all been done on AI. Kelly sells more records than Justin, even if he was more appealing than her (at the time..not now). Fantasia had a better voice than who ever she was against (kill me for forgetting), but she's on Broadway now instead of winning grammies like Carrie or Kelly. If "we" want Jordin to win that's voting for who, at least imo, will sell the most records whereas voting for Melinda is voting for the person who does, indeed have the best voice. I, myself, have wanted Jordin to win from the second I saw her.
