This trade is just a pull out of my ass, however, would you do it?

Tony
Brent

for

Maggette
Livingston
Williams

No....Livingston is overrated

And who is Williams?

if livingston played up to his potential every night, hell yes.

No way.

Livingston isn't that good right now.

I think Shaun could be something really special.

I think Tony is already something special.

he could be, but he's too erratic. i'll admit that he has all the talent in the world, though.

Actually, it's not that far fetched. I tried a scenario on TradeChecker that I liked. Tony + Brent for Shaun and Kaman. It worked. We need a big.

i do not trade tony...he's only going to get better. his ability to finish in the lane over bigs is remarkable. his mid range j has improved greatly. if he extends his range beyong the arc, he's going to be damn near unstoppable. livingston has the athleticism but he's still raw.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....

There comes a point when the "big" PG becomes too big & can't guard the 1 spot, and when the "pass-first" PG becomes the "can't shoot" PG who can't provide offense when needed.

Instead of J-Kidd you end up with Shaun Livingston.

This would be a good trade. . .

. . .if the Spurs were trying to win the 2012 championship.

he has three-ball range (46% from there this year). his shot just takes a really long time (in nba terms) to come of his fingers (my opinion). i never really see him drive in and pull up (floater doesn't count), although i'm sure it's something he's working on. most of his sucessful jumpshots look to me to be a result of a pass in which he's wide-open.

Ususally, nobody in the West is gonna help the Spurs. We traded with Knicks last year, Iverson went West. Wally and friends went from Minny to Boston.

I don't have the stats, but aren't most trades nearly always trans-conference?

Crappy teams with malcontent players make trades with any team...no matter what conference.
