Catching the Mavs will be difficult. The chances of them losing 5 or 6 games is unlikely and even if we continue our streak. So the no brainer is to pull for the Mavs. Let them have regular season glory. It will be history once the playoffs start.

I think it's all about rooting for the Mavericks, too. Catching Phoenix becomes more feasible if Dallas takes each of the next two against the Suns. If the Mavs do that and the Spurs beat the Suns in early April in SA, the difference will only be one game with the Spurs holding the tiebreaker. The Suns' closing schedule is probably more difficult than the Spurs' but not that much more difficult. Every bit helps.

HCA is HCA, but the lakers are not a smash-mouth team; therefore we are less likely to get injuries as opposed to a match up with the Thuggets (Najera, Evans) or Sacramento (Artest). Remember last season, our team was hurting before we even got to the main event (the Mavericks). Injuries > HCA...
