I thought the Mavs weren't gonna try? :lol. Very good game so far, it reminds me of last year's playoffs. Elson did good on Dirk on the beginning and then Dirk took control. I think if Dirk is going to drive it to the hole, Elson will give him some trouble but if Dirk decides to shoot over him he should be fine. And what a surprise, the zone defense gave the Mavs trouble :rolleyes.

The Spurs D for the most part wasn't bad in the 1st half as the Mavs made some tough, contested shots. The reason the Spurs aren't ahead by double digits at this point is because they became completely lax on transition defense for a few minute stretch in the 2nd. During that time they also had at least 3 unforced turnovers that led to easy points for the Mavs.

If this is a future playoff matchup, the key for the Spurs on D will be transition defense, limiting TO that lead to fast breaks, and throwing a healthy dose of man, 2-3 zone, and I would also like to see a little box and 1 from time to time if a particular shooter gets hot.

Well, the result of this game officially doesn't matter. We beat Dallas after three quarters 76-72 and then Crawford took over the game. I really don't care if the players walk off the court now.
