If the Yanks pitching staff doesn't get healthy quick, they'll be struggling to finish .500, let alone keep the playoff streak alive.

Yep, most people just assume that it was the Red Sox.

That was a damn good Birds team, went wire-to-wire in the regular season. They had Jimmy Key, Moose, Erickson, Ripken, Brady Anderson, Palmeiro, Alomar, Eric Davis, etc.

Nope, jeffrey maier (to this day i hate that kid) was 1996. Evidently, cheating gets you a box seat next to Steinbrenner and an appearance on good morning America.

On top of that, what the hell was Richie Garcia (the umpire) looking at?

i remember that. must have been heartbreaking for the birds, because if i remember correctly, all their losses in the ALCS were by 1 run.

They were dominating Cleveland until the 8th inning of game 2. Then Benitez had his meltdown. Birds never quite recovered.
