how do the GS fans on their boards feel? they gotta be somewhat agitated at the warriors coming undone in the second half and settling for jumpers, I imagine.

naw i doubt it, i'm sure they'd rather bitch about getting screwed by the questionable calls. Kinda like Mavs fans last year. all that bitching doesn't change the fact that they lost tho.

yeah, i think gs did get screwed over BUT they also were lost their composure and that comes with lack of experience.

from my perspective, they proved that when they want to, they can control the tempo and shut the Warriors down defensively.

they also proved that there are still times where they play with their heads up their asses, shooting jumpers and forgetting what got them a lead. i liked Dirk's aggresiveness in the 3rd quarter and part of the 4th, but 1.5 good quarters is still completely unacceptable. I was especially annoyed by the way they played the early parts of the 4th quarter, dicking around and jacking up 3's to keep their streak alive and nearly losing their lead. i wish just once they'd keep their foot on the gas and just completely wipe out a team instead of letting up.

funny you say that b/c i made a thread in the spurs section about how annoyed i was at SA letting denver get back into very late in the game as oppose to going for the kill. As well as how our level of play would be our undoing if we continue at the same rate.

And that said, it's not like that had a HUGE impact on the game necessarily. Baron was having a pretty terrible game before his ejection with 5-12 shooting and 6 turnovers. And SJax was having a great game but he got ejected with only 4 minutes left, after the game was pretty much out of contention.

oh to be honest, i had no problem with the ejections actually

I just thought there was some really ticky tack fouls that went in the mavs favor in the second half. several which led to the eventual meltdown of the warriors, but considering Davis was told to stop mocking refs and continued to do so after a warning, he had to get tossed.

Sjax just lost his shit and he already had a technical so he got the boot too.

I don't think the refs determined the outcome of the game, i just thought the warriors did in fact get the short end of the stick.

However, the mavs stopped settling for jumpers and the warriors lost composure, so they definitely deserved the W

i feel great about the win...we were already up by something like 11 points when davis was ejected and for about five minutes or so before his ejection we were finally maintaining our lead. also, davis only had one rebound before the ejection while he owned the boards last game. they weren't going to win this one tonight regardless of the ejections...one other thing, davis already had five fouls before his ejection so he probably wasn't going to make any great smackdown in the fourth. mavs played relatively well despite stumbling early on.

Baron got jobbed by Salvatore pulling a Crawford (.2 left in the 3rd... give him a chance to cool down in the 4th), and Jackson got screwed by getting a first one he shouldn't have. Needless to say, he shouldn't have kept talking the entire 4th quarter, but he was probably just shooting obscenities up in the air because he thought a car was coming...

No, I'm just an NBA fan primarily and with a Gilbert-less Cavs-Wiz borefest coupled with a Nugs run that came too late, this game was damn exciting from start until 0.2 left in the 3rd quarter... then it was exciting for about 1 min until about 8 mins left in the 4th where the Mavs pulled away.

I was bored with the Suns game in the 2nd half last night except the shots where Kobe looked like he was gonna cry... All the Game 1s were exciting as shit and these blowouts have disappointed me a little. I was looking for some bodies to go flying as the tensions got high and the crowd got involved... unfortunately, the two drama queens had to hit the showers too early.

SJax's and Diops techs were unwarranted that's for sure. The people who should have gotten a tech for the shuffle should have been: Barnes for starting it, Terry for escalating it and Davis for overreacting to it.

However SJax's second tech wasn't too suprising. He was jawing at the refs on the court, on the bench anytime he had the chance.

But the officiating will go the HC always. Expect to see calls favored towards GS next game. That's the flaw of the NBA refs have TOO much of a role in the games.

But in all reality the Mavs should have swept the Warriors and will win in 5. It's nice that GS is starting all this commotion and I hope that they give Mavs a tiring 5 game series.

Davis started it with the extra hit - Barnes knocked the ball out of Terry's hands when he walked back and then Harris got involved by grabbing Baron's jersey... still don't know where Diop and Jackson are in the mix, though.

Ponky, even if he did have 5 fouls... he still could have provided a few Baron moments before he was DQ'd. Like I said, S-Jax has no control over his anger, but he still should have been getting his FIRST tech in the 4th, not being ejected.

I hear you, the Lakers are done for, they might eke out a game but who knows. Wizards/Cavs sucks, Pistons/Magic sucks and I thought Heat/Bulls would be more exciting but I don't think that one is over yet, Heat will probably still win a game or two. Raptors/Nets I don't care about so much but I hope the Raptors win, I hate Vince Carter. Spurs and Mavs series are far from over, keep watching.

Yeah, Suns-Lakers (obviously) and Spurs/Mavs series are still keeping me involved, but Heat-Bulls and Rockets-Jazz gotta show me something to reel me back in.

Bringing up the rear are LeBron v. Wiz, Boredom vs. Canada, and I can't stand watching the Pistons win while Dwight Howard still gets fooled by the double teams.
