how do the GS fans on their boards feel? they gotta be somewhat agitated at the warriors coming undone in the second half and settling for jumpers, I imagine.
naw i doubt it, i'm sure they'd rather about getting screwed by the questionable calls. Kinda like Mavs fans last year. all that ing doesn't change the fact that they lost tho.
yeah, i think gs did get screwed over BUT they also were lost their composure and that comes with lack of experience.

from my perspective, they proved that when they want to, they can control the tempo and shut the Warriors down defensively.
they also proved that there are still times where they play with their heads up their asses, shooting jumpers and forgetting what got them a lead. i liked Dirk's aggresiveness in the 3rd quarter and part of the 4th, but 1.5 good quarters is still completely unacceptable. I was especially annoyed by the way they played the early parts of the 4th quarter, ing around and jacking up 3's to keep their streak alive and nearly losing their lead. i wish just once they'd keep their foot on the gas and just completely wipe out a team instead of letting up.
i agree with this take. we'll move on, but were not getting past sas/phx/hou playing like this.
funny you say that b/c i made a thread in the spurs section about how annoyed i was at SA letting denver get back into very late in the game as oppose to going for the kill. As well as how our level of play would be our undoing if we continue at the same rate.

Amused I really like your posts pretty much always, but I'm curious to know how you thought GS got screwed? Baron and SJax both acted like absolute children and deserved to get tossed.
And that said, it's not like that had a HUGE impact on the game necessarily. Baron was having a pretty terrible game before his ejection with 5-12 shooting and 6 turnovers. And SJax was having a great game but he got ejected with only 4 minutes left, after the game was pretty much out of contention.
So, I'm just kinda wanting you to clarify what you meant. As for your question, I'm QUITE happy with this win, mostly because of what you said--Avery went back to our REAL lineup and our brand of basketball, and lo and behold, we win by a lot.

I just thought there was some really ticky tack fouls that went in the mavs favor in the second half. several which led to the eventual meltdown of the warriors, but considering Davis was told to stop mocking refs and continued to do so after a warning, he had to get tossed.
Sjax just lost his and he already had a technical so he got the boot too.
I don't think the refs determined the outcome of the game, i just thought the warriors did in fact get the short end of the stick.
However, the mavs stopped settling for jumpers and the warriors lost composure, so they definitely deserved the W
i feel great about the win...we were already up by something like 11 points when davis was ejected and for about five minutes or so before his ejection we were finally maintaining our lead. also, davis only had one rebound before the ejection while he owned the boards last game. they weren't going to win this one tonight regardless of the ejections...one other thing, davis already had five fouls before his ejection so he probably wasn't going to make any great smackdown in the fourth. mavs played relatively well despite stumbling early on.

Baron and Stephen Jackson got jobbed... ruined what could have been a more exciting 4th quarter... you could really see the Warriors younger guys get dejected out there.
