Where did you get that information? I'm absolutely certain that the league's rules for assigning officials to games would preclude Javie from working consecutive games in San Antonio.

I doubt it is going to be salvatore since he reffed last night

It's not going to be Javie.

Usually I'm not a big fan of Bavetta, but he probably hates Joey Crawford more than anyone, so perhaps he'll be nice to Duncan.

Just wondering, why would Bavetta hate Crawford?

Yeah TimVP i was thinking the same thing...

Only person who unquestionably would have nothing against Duncan for the Crawford incident would be Bavetta...

Edit^^

Because he called him out in his Exit email and called him a sorry ass ref.

I could see that some aficianado might have seen, say, Bavetta in downtown San Antonio and said "There's that g.d. Javie again." It's funny how some fans who want to curse officials seem to think that Javie is at every game they've ever seen. The guy who used to sit next to me at AT&T Center had a habit of shouting "Come on Javie" after every single call that he thought was wrong. I finally broke down one night to tell him that the official who had made the call was actually Dick Bavetta. He seemed surprised.

I'm not sure that Bavetta hates Crawford, but it was pretty clear in the aftermath of the mess with Timmy that Crawford doesn't hold Bavetta in very high regard.

FWD what is the name of the other Ref besides Salvatore and Niece (sp) that reffed last nights game?

Last night in Chicago, it was Salvatore, Nies, and Sean Corbin.

I'd like to throw a heater high and inside on Steve Javie.

Just wondering, why would Bavetta hate Crawford?

Joe Crawford wanted the ref union to make an age limit (59 years old). Bavetta, as you may have guessed, was against it. That's where the animosity started.

And then when Crawford was saying his supposed goodbyes, he called Bavetta a joke of an official.

So if any ref would be happy with Duncan, it'd be Bavetta.

I'm not a big fan of Bavetta at all, but I don't think we'll have to worry about him helping give the road team a better than 2:1 free throw advantage either.

Do you really believe the refs have more power than the Spurs? Dude, all you got do is SCORE MORE POINTS THAN THE OTHER TEAM. Play the game before you start bitching. You girls need to quit complaining about cramps until you get your period.

You guys bitch about officiating BEFORE the game????...at least some Suns fans wait until something has happened.

By the way, I have no problem with the officiating whatsoever. Or the suspensions. ZERO. So with a 3-2 lead you all do look like a bunch of pussies.

I prefer a ref with experience on this one. Bavetta can do the job unless you want the other ones. I don't believe the ref will suck tonight.

Knick Bavetta is in the house tonight. Hopefully Timmy gets the calls on the hack jobs that have been thrown on him all series, if so this is gonna be a good night.

Does anyone else notice that Marion travels every time he puts the ball on the court? I know many other players do it as well, but Marion is every damn time. I thought it was funny and that the refs pretty much don't call the travel where you take the step before putting the ball on the floor - until they called it on Bowen in game 5.

Duncan scares the hell out of me when he's coming into the forecourt and someone will pass him the ball when he's top of the key. He seems to catch it and take two quick steps everytime and I'm cringing that he won't move his pivot foot or he'll get whistled for it.

I know that play you're talking about well. He'll get whistled for it every so often and TP/ Manu get whistled for it every couple of games or so. The Bowen one surprised be because I can't remember the last time he got called on it. I'm still waiting on Marion's first whistle on that 5 games into the series, maybe tonight in the 4th is the night.
