This is the first game that everyone on the Jazz gave full playoff type effort the entire game. The first two games dwill only picked his spots to be aggressive, and half the supporting cast did not have the intensity level needed for a WCF game. Add to that the first game it took Boozer three fourths of the game to finally adjust to the length of the Spurs inside. In game three dwill played the entire game aggressively, and the entire supporting cast gave one hundred percent effort beginning on the defensive end with much faster doubles, smarter play on Duncan by attacking his dribble, and continued through much better offensive movement and harder picks. I think the blowout is just what a young team needed to gain confidence against a great spurs team. I thing we'll see the Jazz play with this kind of confidence and intensity the rest of the series. Its going to be fun because I know the Spurs are going to show up. My head is telling me the Spurs are too experienced and efficient, and will win the series in six or possibly even five. Then again, Okur and Kirilenko can play MUCH better, if they find their A games, watch out.

I'm pretty sure that if the Jazz shoot 53% from the floor again, if they make 13-16 to start the 4th quarter, if they hit 2/3 of their 3 pointers, if they force 8 turnovers by Duncan while limiting him to 9 shots for the game and if they outscore the Spurs by 30 in the 2nd half, they'll win.

Weebo, as a Spurs fan, YOU should know Okur has A games.
Usually against you. Remember when Booz was out this year, he single-handedly beat you? Yeah. Smart ass.

I bet if the Spurs did that stuff, they'd win the game too. :D
If the Spurs go 21-32 for a half again while we shoot 29%, they'll win. I'm sure if they hit 13-26 from beyond the arc that they will freaking win too.

What are you the Spurs President?

I"m sure they would.
I'll retain my faith that the Spurs will find a way to stop the Jazz from having enough of those sorts of explosions to win the series. I'll maintain, though, that if Duncan takes only 9 shots again, the Spurs lose. Period.

As long as in the rest of the games in this series TD picks up #4 in the middle of the 3rd at which time the Spurs also go into the penalty, then I'd be concerned.

Good game for the Jazz. Your boys played very intense today. It was just in the cards for them today. They were throwing up some shots that looked like an epaleptic kid tossed it up...and poof, it would go in.
I'm just hoping they awoke a sleeping giant.

He plays much better if given regular smoke breaks.

Memo has struggled to end the year, ever since his wife had the baby. It's odd that it seemed to effect his game.
That said, he has never played good defense until the series against the Rockets, where he frustrated Yao Ming. Had 6 blocks two games in a row. On Ming.

I didn't mean to suggest that I don't think the Jazz deserve credit or that they didn't play well. They really did. They earned the win and that's the bottom line for Game 3.
The Spurs need to play better from this point forward -- they must protect the ball and they must defend better. They also would be better off if they could find a way to keep Duncan on the floor for more of the game and to get him more touches when he is on the floor.

It's obvious they are going to allow the chop downs on Duncan in the post while the series is in Utah. Simple solution: scrap 4down, put him in the high post and attack the basket with the guards. Sit them all down before the game and tell them that no matter how hard the foul, they're not getting any fucking calls, so they'd better fucking deal, and finish strong at the rim. Turn it over and dunk if necessary, Parker excepted since he can't.

C'mon guys, the Jazz fans have not been nearly as bad as the Phosux fans or the Mavpricks. They're proud of their team but who isn't?
Duncan did some dumb things last night and most of the fouls on him were legit. We can argue about the rest (yes, we got next to nothing called in the paint) but you don't get your clock cleaned by 26 or whatever it was b/c of the refs. The Spurs folded like a cheap umbrella in the storm the Jazz brought late in the third and into the fourth. I don't care if Tim's ass is planted on the bench the entire second half, a team that has as many other weapons as we do doesn't have any business sucking the way we did after halftime.
So give the Jazz and their fans their props, suck it up, and move on to Game 4 and hope that SA will play 48 hard minutes instead of 12 or 16.

I agree on the this year is is the spurs.. Jazz fans don't know this since it is a spurs thing. But the spurs win odd numbered years. The year is 2007 babby. The spurs are guaranteed to win this year just like it was a "lock" to get Kidd, oh wait...
Spurs take this series and then move on to the big show. The Jazz can give up now if they want and start prepearing for next year when they will have a shot.

The Jazz fans aren't really trolls. More like pompous douches. Maybe when the Spurs knock em out of the playoffs they'll begin to develop those troll tendencies that characterize Mav/Sun fans.

The Jazz clearly had a strategy to pack the lane and, as Boozer said "Make 'em shoot free throws or kick it out to the 3 pt. shooters".
Utah is ranked #1 in fouls (the Spurs are the most compliant, ranking 30th), so that strategy is right up their alley. The Spurs failed to move the defense in the 2nd half, didn't shoot particularly well from the outside, and lost interest in defending people. A blowout ensued. The Jazz have been winning games in the 2nd halves of games all year. It's pretty much their modus operandi.
The Spurs shot well enough in the first two games to withstand 2nd half pushes with lane packing by the Jazz. Fortunately for the Spurs, they are a Top tier 3-point shooting team (tied for 3rd with Dallas). If San Antonio, remembers to pass and make ball reversals more than just screen, re-screen, and then re-screen again for Parker to find space...they will be able to beat the Jazz defense.
The Spurs should be shooting more FTs based on the Jazz strategy. That didn't happen on Saturday, even though the Jazz average 6 more fouls per game. Game 4 should have different results if the Spurs make the Jazz pay for their strategy of foul or force kick-outs.

That's why I stay here. This board works for me, I'm a Spurs fan. I don't bother visiting other boards, even when we're in a series.
There's plenty of idiots to go around, and there are Spurs fans in that group too.

I will have to disagree. The Jazz won that game when they started to pull away in the 3rd. Yeah, Duncan was doing time on the bench due to Foul trouble and Yeah, the refs did not call a few fouls that Jazz players performed on our Spurs. The Jazz played a great game and they won. The Spurs will learn and will be ready for the next game.:makemyday

I'll agree the spurs fan club hasn't been at it's best this year. Our problem is we've been in this situation before. We know what it's like to see our team winning deep in the playoffs. We've been there before, and we've seen our team win it all. We've also seen your team lay a couple of goose eggs in the Finals. We've also seen the face of your franchise try to gravytrain one of the greatest tandems in recent history only to eff it up and retire sans hardware.
Enjoy this win, Jazz fan - you'll be singin' the bluezz when the Spurs advance.
